Night Flare was sleeping in his home in Ponyville when suddenly there was knock on the door. He sluggishly woke up and went to answer it. To his surprise, it was Princess Luna. She needed urgent help. "Sorry to wake you at this late at night, but I need your help. A mysterious darkness known as The Black Myst is slowly creeping towards Ponyville. If the darkness engulfs Ponyville, the minds of ponies will be filled with nightmares and terror. Together, we must stop this Black Myst and whoever's behind it, for I know the plans of that foe. He wants to use the Black Myst to control the ponies' minds, enslave them and rule over Ponyville and the surrounding regions. But you won't be doing it alone. I will be with you all through this journey, and so will the other four I have chosen." Luna said. She then made a map of Ponyville appear. I have located some of the best ponies to be with you for this mission. Get them. Once you do, meet me in my castle, which is on the other side of the Everfree Forest." Luna said. Night Flare gasped. "But-but, the Black Myst has already infested the Everfree Forest!" Night Flare said. "Don't worry, there is another way around." Luna said. "You must travel through Froggy Bottom Bog, then go through Dusty Cove." Luna explained as she opened her wings. "Now, you must go get the others, for time is running out." Luna said flying away.

 

Night Flare looked at the map. "Okay, so the closest person to me is Purple Pat, I'll go get him first." Night Flare then walked over to Purple Pat's house, knocked on the door and waited.

Purple Pat heard a rapping sound outside her door. "W-what? Who--who is it?" She asked fearfully. Once she heard it was Night Flare outside, she reluctantly stood from her bed and trotted over to the door. With a quick cast of a spell, she flung the wooden door ever so slightly. "Y-yes? How can I help?"

Night Flare explained to Purple Pat about the talk he had with Princess Luna and about the danger of the Black Myst. He then told Purple Pat that there were three more members to pick up. "After we pick up the other three, we'll meet Princess Luna in her castle, that's on the other side of the Everfree Forest. But don't worry, even if the forest is already infested with the Black Myst, there's still another way around." Night Flare explained. "Now let's go get the other three." Night Flare added.

"Oh... I think I know one of the ponies you've mentioned... Flying Ace was it?..." Purple Pat stutters. "Either he's in Ponyville or up at Cloudsdale..." She adds. She paws the ground with her hoof nervously "I sure hope this Black Myst doesn't spread enough to cause havoc...it would be terrible..."

"Yeah, yeah, that was one. Let's go to his place." Night Flare said rising into the air. 

 

When they got to Ace's house, Night Flare knocked on the door and waited. He then thought about the Black Myst, what it's power holds, how someone as evil could want to rule Ponyville. He heard that King Sombra of the Crystal Empire was defeated but now, a new foe has risen.

"Yeah, yeah, that was one. Let's go to his place." Night Flare said rising into the air. 

 

When they got to Ace's house, Night Flare knocked on the door and waited. He then thought about the Black Myst, what it's power holds, how someone as evil could want to rule Ponyville. He heard that King Sombra of the Crystal Empire was defeated but now, a new foe has risen.

Ace jolted awake and trip getting out of bed. "Hold on! I'm comming i'm comming!" Ace rounded the corner and opened the door. "Yeah, how may I help you on this..." He reailes its the middle of the night. "It's the middle of the night...anyway how may I help you?" Ace asked rubbing the sleep from his eyes now that the shock of waking up is gone.

((My character will be in Cloudsdale, to make it easy on the person who comes to get me. In any case, to round out my post, I'll fill in the rest like so:))

 

Lionheart snoozed uneasily, which was unusual for him. He had heard rumors of a darkness appearing from the Everfree Forest, but surely those were simply rumors. Granted, the place had an eerie quality to it, and curious things were reported to walk its floors, even so, people were probably just imagining things. He decided that he was robbing himself of sleep, and resolved to push those ideas from his mind, for the time being.

Night Flare explained to Ace that there was a mysterious darkness creeping towards Ponyville known as the Black Myst and that the for who was letting it leak was going to engulf Ponyville in this mist, which would cause fear and nightmares to develop inside the ponies' mind. Then, the foe would take the ponies under his control using the black myst and slowly take over Equestria.

Purple Pat grimaced as Night Flare explained. They--she has been galloping for a while to get to Flying Ace, and this drained her energy. Hearing this piece of info once more saddened the Unicorn. "I guess--we--you should go to Lionheart now? From what I've heard he's somewhere in Cloudsdale... I guess I'l be waiting around here for a while" said Purple Pat, as she continues to paw at the ground.

"We must wait for Ace to get ready." Night Flare said. "This mission is gonna be harder than it sounds. We will encounter the Black Myst, but Princess Luna knows a spell that makes one immune to the Black Myst, but, she can't use it consecutively, or else it would wear all of her energy out." Night Flare explained.

Firebolt paced around her cloud home nervously. The rumors of darkness were beginning to get to her, as she normally spent most of her time in Ponyville . While she wasn't sure if such rumors were true, she also knew that if they were, Cloudsdale could be in peril as well.

 

The anxiety was getting to her, so Firebolt sat down on a nearby couch

"We must wait for Ace to get ready." Night Flare said. "This mission is gonna be harder than it sounds. "Whoa, ok that is actully a good reason to wake me up." Ace walked out and shut the door behind him. "Flying Ace at your service, so now we head to Cloudsdale? Who else do we need to get?" Ace asked hm, now we have somepony whos using dreams and nightmares to take control of ponies minds great.

"All we've got left to get are Forebolt and Lionheart and both happen to be in Cloudsdale." Night Flare said. He then realized Purple Pat didn't have wings. "Ace, stay down here with Purple Pat. I'll go get Firebolt and Lionheart." Night Flare declared rising into the sky, heading towards Cloudsdale.

Lionheart woke up. Sleep just isn't coming tonight, so I may as well get up and do something, he thought. He started pacing around his home, still thinking about the rumors. Mostly, a rumor is just somepony having their eyes play tricks on them. Still, this one seems different from the rest. Maybe tomorrow I should see about checking it out. In the meantime, I can at least try to clean this place up, who knows, I may have company soon. He decides to start cleaning up.

Night Flare landed by Lionheart's front door and knocked. He then waited for Lionheart to answer the door. While waiting, more thoughts of the Black Myst slowly inching towards Ponyville filled his mind. He started to have a small bit of worry, but once he realized it, he neglected it off.

As Purple Pat saw Night Flare fly away, she let out a little sigh. She sat down on a bench she managed to conjure with her Unicorn Horn. "At least now I can rest..." she thought.

 

She stayed in this position until a slight movement near her caught her eye. She turned around slowly and yelped as the "movement" flew at her. "AH--...oh wait, it's just a bat..."

Ace coved his mouth trying not to laugh but still let out a chuckle. "Hehehehe, i'm sorry I shouldn't have laughed but that was kinda funny. But if it makes you feel better I had an even worse reaction to the most harmless thing ever...a butterfly."

"Um... Yeah... I guess it was..." Purple Pat said, flustered. "How much longer, I wonder..." she muttered under her breath. "I wish they'd come back soon..." she told Flying Ace. "I'm...feeling queer, like...um...somepony is watching us..." she turned her head to the general direction of the Everfree Forest. Purple Pat quickly withdrew her head and shuddered.

"Don't worry I'm sure the others will return soon." Ace looked around getting the same feeling that somepony was watching them. "Yeah, I'm getting that same feeling I'm sure it's nothing. I'm here so there's nothing to be scared of...except for butterflys heheh."

Night Flare landed by Lionheart's front door and knocked. He then waited for Lionheart to answer the door. While waiting, more thoughts of the Black Myst slowly inching towards Ponyville filled his mind. He started to have a small bit of worry, but once he realized it, he neglected it off. 

Lionheart answered the door, "Hello, can I help you?" The pony that greeted him must have been slightly agitated about something, and he had a reasonable idea about what concerned the pony, and why he would stop by at this hour. "Please, come in. Is something troubling you?"

"No it's nothing, you must come with me. I have terrible news. A mysterious foe has released what is known as "The Black Myst", into the Everfree Forest and this myst is slowly inching towards Ponyville. Anypony engulfed in that myst will have their mind altered and filled with nightmares and fear. The foe wants to control all ponies and rule over the land." Night Flare said. 

[Lionheart27 33]

"Isn't that what all evil creatures want?" he asked, half jokingly, then stopped. He sometimes made light of serious situations inappropriately, and he didn't want to be misunderstood. "Very well, I'm more than happy to help protect everypony. Is anypony else coming along with us? Also, do we have a plan to combat this Black Myst?"

"Princess Luna said to meet her in her castle, which is on the other side of the Everfree Forest. Although the Everfree Forest is engulfed by the Black Myst, there is still a way to get there. We must trek through Froggy Bottom Bog to get to the castle." Night Flare explained.

"Ok, then we should go, so we don't keep Her Highness waiting. I'm ready when you are," he said as he made ready to leave the house. "I'm interested to see what she has to say. Still, your mention of Froggy Bottom Bog reminds me of something. What of that Hydra that's rumored to live there? Does Princess Luna think it could be used by the Myst, or rather, the force behind it? I wonder if that's even possible."

"That could be possible. It also makes it a dark hydra, which has 5x the strength of a normal hydra." Night Flare said. "All we have left is Firebolt." Night Flare said waiting for Lionheart to follow. He then thought about the hydra down in Froggy Bottom Bog.
