  1. Rainbow Dash's could be Queen's "Don't Stop me Now."
  2. For me, usually easy or normal. I feel video games should be enjoyed, and constantly dying while fighting hordes of enemies isn't fun for me.
  3. It's all in how the message is delivered. Usually it's best to offer it up and let the person do with it what they will. This also applies to people seeking converts to their faith, and speaking from my experience as a Christian, we can't force someone to become one against their will.
  4. One of the creepier enemies I've faced in a video game were the Flood in the Halo series. The first time I encountered them, the level was dead quiet, except for an ominous booming noise, and when they finally appear, there are lots and lots of them. They also liked to sneak up behind you and deliver a few hits, and then just stand there. For some reason, that was particularly unsettling. By the time I got back to fighting the Covenant, I was happy to see them. And promptly shoot them as well.
  5. There is quite a difference between being someone who appreciates a television show and the positive lessons drawn from it, and whatever it is that someone who identifies as a furry does. I've never felt drawn to the whole furry community, but I certainly won't cast aspersions on someone who chooses to live that lifestyle, because some of the art they create in that genre is actually quite impressive.
  6. I don't think it was about religion at all. I simply thought it was dealing with the various quirks of the equine ball of silly that is Pinkie Pie. Just look at it for comedy, and move on.
  7. The first pony-related image I saw was the "Mods are asleep, post ponies" pic of Rainbow Dash. That led me to wondering what the commotion about ponies was, and the rest, as they say, is history.
  8. I've been under the impression that Applejack and Apple Bloom's parents are dead, and Big Mac was put into the role of "parental sibling," but he had the Apple family helping him.
  9. The Flash wins, and Rainbow Dash and the Road Runner can battle for second. In terms of acceleration, the Road Runner can probably win a sprint. He can hit that next gear for speed better than anyone I've seen.
  10. I'm working my way through Jak 3 and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, both on the PS2. I forgot how difficult some of the GTA missions are, especially after not playing for a while.
  11. I wouldn't trade my human life for anything. While I do enjoy the show, there are simply too many good things here to willingly give up. I will say, however, that Equestria is a welcome escape from some of the harsher realities of life here.
  12. My wife's friend is a pegasister, which I discovered upon going to a Sonny's in Lakeland. We met her there for lunch, and she had on a "This shirt is 20% cooler" t-shirt, which is how I found out about our mutual fandom of MLP:FIM.
  13. I think it was Ernie Harwell, longtime Detroit Tigers announcer, who once said, "No matter how well-liked someone was, the size of your funeral will still likely be determined by the weather that day." Personally, since I'm already married, I'd rather have nobody at my funeral, because they'd all be out celebrating the awesome life I've had.
  14. It's probably easier to draw all male guards, and since the episode in Appaloosa is supposed to take place in a Wild-West type setting, women in the historical West were just as tough as men, mostly because they had to be in order to survive in a harsher environment.
  15. I'm a bit older than most bronies (clocking in at 27), so Spongebob is a bit after my time, but I will not hesitate to watch Ed, Edd 'n Eddy. Just a matter of personal preference for me.
  16. I really think that when it comes to any decision, there will always be a difference of opinion. I'm optimistic about the change, and given the writers' track record, I think that season 4 will be a great one.
  17. I respectfully disagree. One of Twilight's main loves in life is studying and learning. That's why she seemed upset when she became an alicorn, because she feared that she would no longer be Celestia's student. I think she was more scared of the unknown, because it's been pretty well established that she is not a big fan of the unexpected, but with time, she can adapt easily. As for the group dynamic, it's changed from 2 of each non-alicorn type to 3 flying and 3 non flying. A different set-up, but by no means unworkable. I think it will allow for more adventures, because while alicorns are powerful, they are not the strongest creatures in terms of raw power. Discord far outclasses them, and he's the only one of his kind that we know of.
  18. I think you're making a mountain out of a molehill, so to speak. Twilight Sparkle, despite now being an alicorn, will likely remain the same Twilight we've come to know, with the exception that she can now fly. The writers have made three seasons of quality shows, and they're showing no signs of burnout, so now we just have to wait until winter for season 4.
  19. You need to hear Huey Lewis and the News sing about "The Power of Love." Still, Cadence has no reason to attack Celestia, and in a battle of sheer magic, Celestia would probably win. But I digress. Most of Twilight's power is as yet untapped, and with the development of that power, there surely are going to be ways for her to grow and still be reasonably challenged by various situations.
  20. I feel her transition to alicorn is a permanent one, because, quite frankly, it would be stupid to retract that development. Granted, the build-up to it really wasn't very obvious, but I think it adds a whole new level of development to not only Twilight, but the rest of the Mane Six now, as well.
  21. The fact we don't know very much about Twilicorn, to me, means that they can go almost in any direction with the story. The fact that she won't outlive her friends, to me, shows that they're not going to create a new Mary Sue character, and given what the writers have done with the show so far, they won't completely abandon what made the show great in the first place. I'm looking forward to seeing where the show goes in the future.
  22. Alicorns aren't invincible. Chrysalis managed to defeat Celestia in a magic beam battle, and though Discord is reformed, he still outclasses both Celestia and Luna in terms of sheer power. Also, though we've seen dragons, we don't know what they're capable of (Though I doubt they're cast as villains). Twilight still has yet to fully realize her own power, and as such, there are still believable villains that can make appearances where she will need her friends to help her defeat them. As for adventure, discovering her new powers and abilities should be an adventure in and of itself. Having an episode where she's still handling the finer points of flying would be interesting.
  23. ((Sorry I haven't been posting, it's tough with just two RPing. Perhaps we should allow other players in)) "Perhaps we should see if there's anyone else in the area who can help. It's evident now that the others seem to have gotten lost." Lionheart said as he prepared to head to the castle, at a word from Night Flare.
  24. Lionheart watched Night Flare and asked, "Is something the matter at the castle?" For all he knew, something of a magical nature had alerted Night Flare somehow, but he obviously had no way to tell. He sometimes got jealous of his unicorn friends, because while they shared many of the same interests, their connection with magic was what made them unique among the ponies.
  25. "I'll agree with that, for sure. I remember hearing the story of Luna and Celestia's disagreement many times, and I'm glad that they patched things up," he said as he continued towards the castle. "I wonder why it took them that long to reconcile, because that's a very long time to keep an argument going."
