Can't wait for Dark souls II! Just wish we had more information on it. Hopefully they don't really mess it up, Dark Souls was excellent. I'm wary of them making the beginning parts more guided, but I guess we'll just have to wait and see how that goes.

Oh man I ain't even finished with the first Dark Souls yet. happy.png I hope they release it for PC, just not as a horrible port like the DLC version of Dark Souls. I'm also wary of them making things too easy. That's what gave Dark Souls and even Demon's Souls their edge. I can't wait to see how they handle this new Dark Souls.

Even though I am both a Demon's Souls and Dark Souls vet, I do agree with areas they have said they will make more clear to the people such as covenant, some of the story, combat mechanics, a slightly better tutorial(hopefully it doesn't force you to do it). By the sound of the dev interview they are going to make it guide the player a bit in a correct sense of what Dark Souls II is all about and then after a bit, "enter the true Dark Souls experience"

But like Game Trailers said, next Thursday we are by the sounds of it either going to get another interview or some actual gameplay! ^.^

It is confirmed for PC, no word on how well it is being optimized this time around, hopefully better.

I loved the DLC, probably one of the few DLCs I will say that was worth my money. I don't think they would make it easier since almost everyone knows one of it's most well known things is it's massive learning curve compared to other modern games. Even people that make Gears of War acknowledged this. But just like you and many other somewhat worried yet excited fans, my body is more than ready.

PS: As soon as you finish the game, pick the Dark Lord ending, it is more satisfying, trust me.

Oh i'm definitely ready for whatever they have up their sleeves for Dark Souls II. I remember when I beat Demon's Souls for like the 3rd time, I always wondered if it were even possible to make it more challenging. Then I got Dark Souls for PC. Well worth the money and worth finding the mods and programs to make the game playable. Again when I pre-ordered Dark Souls, I thought that they couldn't make it any harder. Damn was I wrong. Let's hope Dark Souls II lives up to the name. I agree that they shoulda made things a little more clear in game since i'm sure most people spend more time on the wiki than playing the game itself, like me.

I bet you they are going to replace those tower knight archers with two channelers, make the skinny path zig zag slightly, and then put some mosquitos there just to remind everyone of the swamps.

Oh god the horros XD. I shudder to think what they have up their sleeves. I mean like right now in Dark Souls, I utterly refuse to go into New Londo Ruins and umm...what's that place called...Demon Ruins or something like that.

Oh god, not Demon Ruins/Lost Izalith...that is the only reason I never finished the game on my other characters..that place is the definition of insanity and constant frame rate drop, even From Software apologized for the Bed of Chaos boss fight.

Who knows but all we know is they will probably be creative like usual and put in the most random spots for an enemy to be just to anger you..and probably more boulders just to see if you remember that from the previous games...and probably get how they want the final end-game boss to how they want it, you can take it any way you want it but can't parry.

Haha I actually wasn't too bad at parrying. I had an easier time parrying than backstabbing enemies. Don't even remind them about that boulder mechanism in Sen's Fortress. I died multiple times to those damn things. I haven't even gotten that far with my character yet into the Demon Ruins. I defeated Quelaag and looked out the window and said "Nope, don't think so."

I think they should bring back the Dragon God from Demon's Souls and put him in a more open environment in Dark Souls II. His fight was too easy and kinda a disappointment.

Yeah, the final boss, Gwyn, you can parry him which is one flaw they didn't like after the game was released. Yeah...Demon Ruins can be a pain, I assume you already killed Granola and Hostess in Anor Londo though and got the Lord Vessel?

Demon's Souls...it was interesting, they made you have this mindset of this is how you should approach these bosses but the Archdemon was a completely new fight to where it threw you off. Then as soon as you got to False King Allant, you go HAH! I have faced these types of bosses plenty and before you know it you lost a soul level and got killed by his  whatever nova blast attack. I don't think I would like to fight Dragon God in a more open area because he would easily one-shot you. Now say they make a reincarnation of him but not nearly as OP, then I would gladly try and take him on. If not, I would rather take on two Flamelurkers than that.

I have not yet. I am at the point where I kill them in Anor Londo but haven't actually killed them yet. I've watched alot of Let's Plays on Youtube on Dark Souls just to see how people deal with them and everyone proves my point, I'm screwed as soon as I get into the later game.

I would much rather fight an OP Dragon God than 2 Flamelurkers. *Shudders* I've been killed numerous times by that bastard. The Tower Knight was probably one of my favorite boss fights, same with Penetrator. I never got killed by the False King Allant. He seemed pretty easy for me. The bosses that gave me the most hell were the Maneater and the Old Hero.

Oh...just remember to summon help, don't do what I did and have that hard-headed idea to solo it your first playthrough. Took me forever to solo those two. and it was my first playthrough. But that is pretty much the only place you can go other than Darkroot Garden and possibly New Londo(after Darkroot) simply because you NEED the Lord Vessel to fight Nito, Seathe, and Bed of Chaos.

I will tell you this right now, as soon as you finish Anor Londo, it's mostly downhill from there, one or two of the fights might be a pain and only on New Game + and on the Four Kings become a pain.

Despite how much I hate Flamef***er and his tendancy to go over 9000 when his health is around 33%, I would just rather get killed by angry fire demon maniacs than a Dragon demon that is rocking guns harder than Iron Will or Big Mac.

I don't usually struggle with the environments and bosses (Except Sen's Fortress). What really slows me down is all the damn invading that happens to me. Now since I play on the PC, I get to deal with the hackers. I'm afraid to try to finish Anor Londo because i'm almost certain, as soon as I reverse hollowing, I'm gonna have about 30 seconds to get from the bonfire, all the way to the main hall, summon Solair and possibly other phantoms without getting invaded haha.

I know after Anor Londo shit gets real. Afterwards, I figure i'll go take on Sif, even though he's owned me I don't know how many times now.

Haha I always tried any cheap tactics I could to kill Flamelurker. He was a giant pain no matter what I tried. Leechmonger was also a pain as well.

My tactic: Cry, weep, and pray he doesn't spam me with his balls of fire...it worked eventually and I killed him and it will probably be the only time that will ever work.

I've only been invaded once while playing Dark Souls. Like I said, I play on PC. I was invaded in...the Darkroot Garden I think. The area that you need the Crest of Artorius to enter. I believe the invader was hacking because when I hit him I did like 64,000 damage and not one hit point was lost. He then killed me. I hate invaders haha. Hell the invaders in Demon's Souls were more considerate than the invaders in Dark Souls.

I hope that woman in the trailer is like the Maiden in Black from Demon Souls! I loved that character!

"Let strength be granted so that the world might be mended... so the word might be mended."

The Dark Souls/Demon Souls universes are so incredibly bleak and detailed; I love them both. From the looks of that trailer Dark Souls II won't disappoint.

Oh I remember That Maiden in Black. God she gave me the creeps. I always thought like she was gonna turn on me in the end just by the way she acted and sounded. I always figured she'd turn into this monster that I wouldn't be able to kill.

I'm looking forward to pre-ordering Dark Souls II no matter what the problems with it are.

I remember when I used to do lots of PVP in Demon's Souls, back when everyone was actually nice and cool about it and didn't spam spells everywhere. Dark Souls, meh I just hide somewhere obvious and prepare to die a painful death. I can't wait to see and hear how Dark Souls II competes to its predecessors.

So I guess there are tons of new ways to die and get surprised. I am a bit bitter but liking the new graphics engine making it look more renaissance and Demon's Souls like. I am unsure if they made it easier or are just using an OP guy though(He killed and didn't take jack squat from a few enemies)

Will link a YouTube video to it when available for more fun discussion!

Also there are new screenshots that weren't in the gameplay from today.

I remember watching a video a few weeks ago about some of the new things with Dark Souls II. It looks pretty promising. Some nice innovations in the works as well. Still pretty stoked about this.

My exact thoughts. Also I put the concept art in the concept art link section, lots of good stuff there if you want to check it out. Get an idea of what ravenous horrors you will face!

Also, how you liking them killer boars!? No pun intended.
