@@UnitP0N13, maximum of two weapons. Being a machine is one thing, being a walking armory is quite another. laugh.png  And quite an interesting concept you have there.

As far as perks go, everyone will get their initial "perk" that they get when their character is accepted and then subsequent perks upon leveling up. Sorry, but a bunch of perks at the beginning can make the game easy and/or complicated.

Unit, you're missing one important thing. Go back and read the OP carefully. wink.png

@@SilverHeart, as soon as Unit finds the thing he is missing then we can begin. I'll work on the opening post tonight, but I am dead from my meet today so I'll most likely post it tomorrow sometime. Sorry for the wait, guys.

(edited)

Is anyone else having trouble reaching that dice roll site? Everytime I try I get a blank page.

Just tried it and I'm getting the same thing. I can access a cached copy on my machine, but that doesn't really help anyone else. The site might be down temporarily or maybe the owner picked NOW (of all times) to remove it. Which would really, REALLY suck. I'll see if I can find a similar site.

EDIT: Huh. Change around some words and you find something almost as good. Wizards of the Coast has their D&D online roller, which is very easy to use and load. Just use the d6 (second dice down) and follow the same instructions as before.

DOUBLE EDIT: I threw the link in the OP next to the original dice roller site.

Ooooh this new one does the math for you, I am liking this site a whole heckuva lot more than the old one now!

Well I wasn't planning on actually using him with his current perks or skills either since I assumed we were all starting at level one, and I did see the rules about weaponry (though it took me a couple of rereading to realize that you meant the amount of weapons on hand rather than dual-wielding heavy weapons). I was in a hurry last night to try and not slow the process down so I just copy-pasted Malik from the other site to here. I'll make sure to edit him today and bump him back down to level one and read the rules again to make sure I have everything down. So sorry for the inconvenience! img-1361299-3-sad.png

Edit: Okay, I reset his skills and perks and left him with only his minigun and party hat. Also, what was that thing I was missing? I went back through OP and read it a few times- ohhhhhhh, the favorite color! Completely forgot to throw that in last night! >~<

Edit No.2: Okay, favorite colored added to the profile!

Hey, no problem. I really should have had a character template set up in the OP so we could get some uniformity. Nice looking profile and an interesting concept (also, party hat laugh.png ), so APPROVED. In addition, as a Pegatron you much more difficult to stagger and/or knock over and can resist most diseases. However, water is your enemy: falling into a deep pool of water (or being outside during a particularly heavy rainstorm) will do wonders to your armor. And by wonders, I mean horrors.

Okay, everyone has stats and a starting perk. No idea how well combat will work yet, so yay! We're ready to get this show on the road. Let me link some profiles, then I'll get to work on finishing the opening post.

Everyone will be in or around the RADigator. Either sitting at the bar discussing your plan (and getting some character development rolling) or outside and hop right in, although you all don't really know each other yet. So...yeah. Sitting at the bar sound good?

The first post will put you all in a position to interact for a while, then make your move.

...I'm not really sure either. We're not really using any sorta system that's close to Ponyfinder, and Fallout Equestria is pretty much the only Fallout with magic and it isn't even a game like Fallout 3 or NV. The mechanic would be...I wouldn't say difficult to fit in, but I haven't been in a lot of FO:E's with the use of magic as the main component of one's combat. I suppose it could be a skill driven by the Intelligence stat, Science if you want to be specific (since magic is kind of a science of its own). I'd probably limit the uses of magic to simple physical manipulation via telekinesis and have the abilities flay out slowly at the GM's discretion with each level, if you plan on being magic-heavy with your character.

Plus there is such a thing as burnout. Unless of course you are an alicorn who have immense reserves of magical energy, so is there a thing sorta like Mana where it limits the amount of, and power of spells you cast within a certain time period.

You know...maybe we could event some crazy addictive drug that boosts the power output and mana regen of unicorns. Just a thought, not sure what would we even call it, but in be kinda cool as an underlying subplot of some kind.

I wasn't planning on making it a heavy focus of combat for Silver but there are times that I would use it. An example would be a quick paralysis or pain numbing spell in combat could be useful.

Although I don't tend to use healing spells since I find the thought rather cheap and OP...however I'm not sure if I should use them for this RP.

Magic is based on Intelligence. Off the top of my head, I think that 2xINT in basic spells is a good number for use in combat or other encounters, with more powerful spells requiring more "uses" (IE to cause some massive explosion with an INT of 7 (7x2=14), you would need to use more than just one of those 14 points). Keeps it simple while still having "burnout." Sound fair?

I really meant to start the RP today, but I ended up having to help my sister move into her new place. Plan for tonight or tomorrow.

Eh, like you said, life gets in the way sometimes, and like I said, I am a patient person. Take whatever time you need, and I'll do my best to be as active as I can here!

My time frames are usually best to be online on weekends, though I am generally able to be on throughout the week, but weekends I am usually faster.

Yeah, sorry guys. Fate seems to hate this RP: as soon as I made this topic, EVERYTHING that could happen happened. School and sports and...y'know, that kind of stuff.

But I'm just as tired of waiting as you are! So I WILL make the post tonight. Someone hold me to this. :P

Okay, post is written up. I scrapped what I originally had in favor of this more...uh...okay, I don't know why but this post seems better to me. I'm gonna run this by a friend real quick and see if it is a quality initial post, then I'll make the RP topic and link it in this post.

EDIT:

Deep breaths, everyone. Here is the roleplay. Hopefully I turn out to be a half-decent GM. laugh.png

So I've never done a roleplay with die rolling before, do I have to roll intelligence or perception for Silver Heart to recognize the landmarks on the map?

Edit: I'll leave this decision up to you @@Kolth,  but does Silver have a pipbuck? It wasn't something I thought of until just now...since she is from a Stable.

Just to keep it simple, no. From your travels you would either recognize the landmarks or not.

Also, totally forgot to add that as well. Yeah, Silver has a Pipbuck.

Hiho.

Would it still be possible to join this? I'd like to try this sort of dice-based RP, and Fallout worlds are awesome.  Makes for some great moments for good characters. I'd whip up a pony quick-like if you do accept.
