Okay, takes place during FoE but never quite reaches the last third-ish of the book , so we can use the same locations and allude to scenarios and what-not but be in a different part of the wastes.

Sorry about the delay in posting. I had a party Friday and an all-day meet yesterday.

 

In case anyone is wondering, this quest isn't a random tangent -- I'm trying to make everything tie back into the overall goal of finding Haven.

 

EDIT: Hoy crap, I KNEW something sounded fishy when I was picking Elder Seeker's name. Whoopsie. :P I can change the name if you'd like, @Ghostpony.

So I'm at a sort of dilemma.

 

There are two ways I can see this quest going; one way introduces a whole new faction that I can see keeping around until the end. However, it makes things needlessly complicated so I might hold off and introduce them later.

 

So no post from me tonight, at least for now. I need to see which route I like better. Sorry for the delay!

I am not dead, nor is the RP. It's just been a hectic weekend and what-not. I'll work on making a post or two tonight.

 

EDIT: Holy crap guys, I'm sorry. We have AP testing this week so I've been locked down in study sessions and what-not. I'm gonna make an effort to at least make a puny post in the RP to keep us moving tonight.

@, Before I post Alizarin's reply on the main thread, I'd like to ask one thing (and this might sound like a stupid question): Is it alright if I alter the back story that I had added in his profile in this post/future ones involving his search for the bounty records? I don't really like giving detailed back stories about characters that I only created recently, since I know that their pasts are subject to be altered as time goes on. I was just wondering if that is a problem at all.

No problem -- character building is what roleplays are all about, anyway. Just remember to roll when you're searching (I assume you're gonna search the terminals) and don't assume, although I do have some nice ideas in the back of my noggin about a quest or two tailored to your backstory.

 

To everyone else: I'm working on thinking up questlines that will spotlight individual characters/groups (ex: our two griffon pals, our former slave, etc). Don't think I forgot about you. wink.png

Truth. I'll hopefully post later today then, and don't worry, I'll be sure to roll (Intelligence and luck, maybe agility just to be sure?)

EDIT: Good grief, it's getting to the point where I feel like I just need to make a guide to my head canon culture the Crystal Ponies and the Imperial Wastelanders possess instead of just making longer explanatory OOC comments in my posts.

Yikes, my bad, guys. This week is the final push (at least until the SAT, ACT, and finals week) but I'll be able to post a lot more once track is over and I'm not panicking over AP testing. Expect a good post sometime Friday.

Mostly in reply to @00Pony: I'm kinda going off on my own thing with the Trottingham chapter, and it doesn't necessarily seem "canon." I simply neglected to do my research beforehand political shenanigans is awesome.

 

Also, the reason no one is getting any true leads is because Raptor is duking it out for the next piece of the puzzle. Also also, remind me to tick off the griffons more often. I need to come up with new bird-themed insults to use. img-1369822-1-UNZJLhS.png

Ticking off Raptor shouldn't be hard. Like, at all. Of course you wouldn't want to bog down the RP by having to slam the brakes while he beats the crap out of everyone he sees.

Of course; we should strive for a happy medium. And not EVERYpony hates griffons. Just...y'know, a lot of them.

I think we decided them to be somewhat kinder based off something from Project Horizons, but I can't fully remember. We can make our own canon for them if we need to, I suppose.

Some, maybe. But Griffons of Talon Company worked for the highest bidder, so they were kind of neutral.

If you're talking Pre apocalypse, I don't think it was ever really mentioned where the Griffons stood, but I could be wrong.

So I don't really want to ruin y'all's anti-griffon fun but weren't Griffons on Equestrias side for the most part?

 

As far as I remember, they were pretty much on the side of pastel ponydom. But, like 00Pony said, Talon griffons were just morally-grey mercs.

I meant to make a list of all of the major/talking Rangers in this group but never got around to it, so I just decided to wing it. Some were nicer then I would've initially thought to make (Premier, Petal Dance, etc) but I like how the others turned out. Being a jerk is fun. 

 

 

(Screw that, I wanna smash something.)

 

 

 It has been a while since I've laughed at something said OOC in an RP.

I never quite expected to be spending so much time at the farmhouse, so I apologize if this seems sloppily put together. Because it totally is. So many NPCs, man. But it also makes the ending of this quest a bit simpler to do, I suppose.

 

After this quest I'm gonna take a day or three and make some notes on the map, write out recurring NPCs, etc. and actually be a GOOD roleplay-person. derpy_emoticon2.png

Oh... my.... dear... god. Can I please join this? I've been playing Fallout 3 and New Vegas so much over the past year or so. (I'm in love with it. No joke.)

To start, I'm only accepting six. Keeping track of stats and situations for six players is proving to be just enough of a challenge that I don't want to go on a murderous rampage. As we get into the groove I'll start accepting more players.

 

EDIT: hold off on posting your OC. I'm gonna put a basic character sheet to fill out in the OP so that everyone has the same types of information.

 

Hmm...maybe we could have a second group in a different part of the wasteland with similar goals? That'd be cool, I think. What does everyone else think?
