Could be interesting. It'd let our fellows in the waiting list into the world, if you're up to over seeing 9-12 different character arcs that is.

It would definitely be a fun challenge and get rid of that ridiculous waiting list. I'll mull it over some as more people voice their opinions.

Hmm...maybe we could have a second group in a different part of the wasteland with similar goals? That'd be cool, I think. What does everyone else think?

I think this could get a little too messy, less the groups are in different threads until they meet (Implying they will, which is optional)

But on the note of adding more players, if you could give me a shout when you make that executive decision, be sure to let me know, I'd be thrilled to join. Until then, if you ever need help with playing NPCs, don't hesitate to ask!

If you think you're up to the task of handling more characters, I don't see why not. But I don't much care either way, so I'll leave it up to everyone else.

I was considering different threads, actually. I would need to think of plots and quests to be used in that new storyline, but it wouldn't be terribly difficult. And thanks for the offer! img-1369822-1-UNZJLhS.png

In other news, I hope to wrap up this Rangers quest by Sunday. I thought it would be more exciting but nope.jpg

As soon as we hit the combat phase, things should start to pick up quite a bit. Hopefully. The taste of battle should keep everyone compelled to power through the next few story bits in anticipation for the next battle. Or not, honestly, it's taken a while in the other FO:E I'm in.

The idea of making two separate threads sounds like it could work, to help keep them less cluttered by everything going on. I figure once the two groups meet up (assuming they do), we'll move on to one thread? Or keep the separate ones?

Either way, I'll probably be stalking the separate thread, since I'm big on story and stuff.

Keep it separate. More players in one thread will only serve to slow us down. I mean, it's taken us quite a while just to get to this point, double the players and it'll take a week just to get everyone moved out of the farmhouse.

Ahehe. I'm the guilty party on this one. Sorry, ya'll. End-of-the-year testing and all that jazz and apparently you are supposed to study for those kind of things. Bleh. Talk about no fun.

So what I'm hearing: two threads. Which means two roleplays. Which means I hate you guys that is more work.

...I'll start thinking up a second RP. happy.png

I'm gonna try and wrap up this quest, then I'll probably have to take the next week or three off. I have many large end-of-the-year projects and state testing left to complete, and I need to focus on that stuff. Which REALLY sucks.

Also, be honest: how was this quest, aside from long, boring, and tedious? I want to know how to make these more enjoyable.

EDIT: so I didn't notice the gun-ho pony take the first shots. I have zero Internet right now aside from my phone, and posting from this thing is a BITCH. I'll try to slip something in tomorrow during school.

It sounds like you're terribly busy. Good luck with the projects and state testing.

I actually enjoyed the quest, if it was boring, long or tedious I didn't really notice.

I know I'm late with this but, I'll leave up adding the other six to you. I'm probably neutral, not really sure. I would however prefer it if we gave them their own thread. And we could possibly create a third thread for interactions between the groups. That way if we end up being rival teams (Which is kind of what I'm expecting to happen at least a few times) there's an order to things.

Example

Thread 1: Our current RP thread. Interactions between members of our team and NPC's.

Thread 2: Their RP thread. Interactions between members of the second team and NPC's.

Thread 3: The joint-RP thread. Interactions between members of both teams and NPC's.

Although I can also see that being very confusing, messy, and possibly backfiring or killing it off.

Anyway it's up to you.

That's one thumbs up for this quest. *whew*

Yeah, this would definitely be a two-thread arrangement. I'm actually in a PM convo with Higurashi and Shame, trying to figure out how to make the start and character creation and what-not a bit smoother. I suspect that sometime this week or early next I'll make the second OOC.

I'm debating how to go about when the groups meet up. A third RP topic would probably be the best way, but I'm still open to suggestions.

I liked the quest, personally. If anything it gave me an excuse to flesh out Alizarin's backstory a little bit more, because character development is a good part of role-plays. It may not have been the best quest ever to occur in history, but it's the first of what I hope to be many.

As to how to handle the two teams joining up: I feel a third topic would be good. If only we could make sub topics within a parent role play topic.

Whatever we do, like I said before, I'll end up stalking the other team's thread to see what they get to go through, and probably figure out how Al would react to the individual members.

I thought this quest was pretty good, although my character isn't very well suited for it since he has no real reason to care. But really, that part is my fault if anything.

Yikes, sorry for the wait. I had test after test this week and then the SAT today. /excuses

So of what I've been able to flip through in the RP, we have one pony who up and shot at Beanie and multiple others who attempted negotiations. If this is true (and I hope it is; makes my life easier) then I am going to disregard the combat and allow the others to attempt to talk Beanie down. Sorry to whoever tried to spark the battle, but the majority of the team desires to talk it out.

And if I'm wrong, I'll feel really silly and come edit this. I'll try to make a post tonight to move things along and, if possible, wrap things up.

Oh no, it's totally fine. I was afraid I was going to offend everyone for jumping the gun...or gunning the jump, or both really. I think it's totally fine if we go with negotiations...but yeah, Malik's primed to kill. :3 (Because family is really important to him even if he is currently not apart of one)

Don't worry, ya'll. I have a post about 80% of the way done, but I had to go to a study session. I WILL finish it up tonight! Someone hold me to that. At gunpoint, if necessary.

Do you prefer a 12. Gauge shotgun, 243. Hunting Rifle, 22. Rifle, 9mm pistol or 7.62 Assault Rifle?

Or would you rather a combination of each?

I can go either way really.

Hmm...a well-rounded arsenal would be a pistol and a longer-range gun. I like the idea of the hunting rifle and pistol together.

Don't worry too much about it now -- we'll get together after the quest and figure out exactly what is going on.

Oooh, so we have three rather different methods of trying to resolve this.

Alizarin's trying to be diplomatic and come to a relatively peaceful resolution.

Guardian's just waiting for an excuse to tear Beanie a new one.

and Malik's trying to turn Beanie's followers against him.

Very interesting. Alizarin's kind of viewing this as a small step towards some sort of redemption, hence going all peaceful. But he would probably go along with just about anything short of all out combat, so I can probably see him tagging more to Malik's resolution of removing Beanie from the equation should he be made to choose if his fails. But now I'm considering the possible consequences of this. Darn overactive imaginations for things not under my control!

Wait, is recruit Petal Dance? I think that aside from being a whorse she would be a fine leader.

Nah, Recruit is Recruit. He was in the barn with Premier. He's the try-hard.

I never really thought of throwing Petal Dance into the mix...I suppose she would augment Starry's leadership. I'll edit my post to put her and Starry together.

Personally, I'm leaning towards Premier, as explained why in my post on the main RP thread. That's coming from Alizarin's mind (in part mine, obviously) of course. And as stated, we can discuss our choices here.

Plus, Alizarin's trying to figure out in the back of his mind whether or not to ask Premier about the audio file, and if she may know a pass-code for it. Me, being the paranoid person I am, keep thinking the worst will happen if I do have him ask, but you never know (Well, Scout might, but you get what I mean).
