He was pretty popular, and was so successful he had his own Nikelodian movie franchise and a television series for a short time. Fred is portrayed by Lucas Cruikshank, who appeared in one episode of Hannah Montana. He played himself in iCarly, in an episode titled iMeet Fred. The characyer has retired, but Lucas has a new active YouTube channel that does not relate to Fred whatsoever.
