Separate "recently discussed" -box for roleplays?

It's nothing big, but just something that has been bugging me for a while now. There is an endless amount of active roleplays on the site, and I feel they're hogging the space on the "recently discussed" -box. Yes, I understand that roleplaying is the only pastime for some people here on the forums, and I believe it can provide endless amounts of entertainment, but having 5-8 topics in the box about roleplays seems a bit too much. I'm pretty sure not all members of the forums love roleplaying (like me) and it can be a tad frustrating to look through the recently discussed topics looking for something to actually DISCUSS, and only see roleplays after roleplays...

 

That's why I'm suggesting creating a separate "recent roleplays" -box and make only the real discussions show on the "recently discussed" -box. It would be beneficial for both non-players and players alike, since the players could more easily follow their roleplays through the RP-box and the non-players would be able to see the actually discussable topics easier.

Even though I'm no a role player, I wouldn't mind having this, if it was optional.

 

The big question, though, is where would we put it?

Well, although I think it's a nice idea and would be kind of cool to implement  I can't think of where to put it, first off. Second, there's already something that fulfills that function, kind of.

 

If you don't want to see any RPs, here's the way to do it:

 

My Settings --> Homepage --> Select forums you don't want to see topics from. (Use Ctrl to select multiple ones.) You can disinclude all of RP World, and now bam! Problem solved. :3 (You can also use the little gear on the Recently Discussed box to get to Homepage if you wanna do it faster.)

I'd have to agree with this. Adding a new box takes up too much space, and if you just don't want to keep seeing the rp's then you can simply do what arlyett said it's much easier.

Oh there's something like that? My bad! Didn't know that. Either way, I think a RP-box would be a good thing, but it it true that there isn't enough space for it :/

You could always place the box in the role play area (and of course thee would be an option to not see it). In the area above where it lists all the Roleplay topics, perhaps having two separate ones. One containg the actual RP's and one containg OOC and planning threads. The OOC and planning threads box would go into the OOC etc section respectively.

 

This idea is something I once proposed actually for all areas, as this would be a great tool in my opinion.

Considering you can completely opt out not only the roleplay sections but any other section as a well using the Homepage options, and that the Tech Admins have fourteen quadrillion things they're working on (you think I'm exaggerating this number, but I'm sadly not), I don't feel its' worth it to pursue a separate feature for that at the moment.
