Acheron nodded.

"No use going off in the Everfree alone. I'll help you search for this artifact while the rest try to rest. We'd be killing two birds with one stone after that."

Acheron had planned to stay up and go off and search on his own as he had a better idea what to look for, but travelling with a partner was always a good thing to do, especially in the deeper parts of the Everfree.

"Ah here we are the bridge now it's only afew more miles I think," Draco said as he noticed the bridge. "I think I'll fly us over there So who want's to go first?" Draco asked with a smiled. He didn't trust that rickety bridge at all. So he was going to do a sensible thing and fly his friends over. He was hearing the two then coughed "You know that my ancestors know where the key is and you two don't know the O'Malley coat of arms,"

Dimitri nodded at Acheron. "Excellent idea. The faster we find it, the faster we can get moving." He was happy somepony was going to accompany him. The Everfree didn't frighten him, and neither did the creatures that lived within it, but he was more worried about encountering another Seneschal in his journey. If he was going to face another moment like that, he'd want Acheron with him to make he didn't lose his ways and turn against his allies.

 

"Fly? Me?" Dimitri questioned Draco. "I doubt you could lift me in the first place, and I dislike having to be a burden. The bridge may be rickety, but I'll cross it. It has to be tested anyway...." Dimitri peered over the chasm to see how deep it was if he fell.

"I have wings of my own Draco." She said, fluttering her wings before looking at the pony closest to her...who happened to be Delia. "Well Miss Delia...you're first." She said, spreading her wings and walking over to the mare.

As she approached she did something that she would rarely do. "I just might have to take you up on that sleeping offer Delia." She whispered, grinning at the mare.

"Well Delia want me to carry you to the other side?" Draco asked. "Then again I think Acheron there can teleport Dimitri to the other side too that just leaves me with the lovely mares," Draco said with a laugh. He rolled his shoulders loosening up the muscles near the wing joints.

Delia looked at the bridge and began to think out loud"Maybe i could quickly run across the bridge, that way i won't put much weight on it." She then looked at Draco. She then decided to take up Dracos offer.

As she walked towards Draco she heard Diamond say something to her which made her blush. "Oh my." Diamonds words put an immense smile on Delia's face.

 

"Alright Draco, you get the honor of flying me across." She said teasingly

Draco walked to the edge then dropped down opening his wings. He darted back up "I'm okay," Draco said as he flew over to Delia and picked her up with gentle ease. He started to fly her over the chasm quickly. But he enjoyed her in his arms as he landed her on the other side on firm ground. "now let's see if Diamond will reconsider,"

"Dear Trotmir, yes please. Acheron, if you can teleport us over the bridge I'd love that. Better than taking a risk on this bridge, and I definitely don't want to be flown over...no offense you two...but I dislike the idea of it completely." Dimitri backed from the chasm and felt the locket around his neck. "Just as long as we get going. I'm not showing it, but I'm dying on the inside every second this is happening..."

"Oooor you can go with Draco." She said, spreading her wings and flying across the cavern after Draco and Delia. Assuming that Acheron and Dimitri would teliport over.

She landed next to Delia and Draco then brushed her mane out of her face.

"Easy enough," Acheron said as he walked over to Dimitri. Focusing on teleporting both himself and Dimitri over, his aura surrounded him and Dimitri. In a quick flash, both were over on the other side in no time.

 

(I fell asleep quickly, which I intend to do often now because I get little sleep anymore)

Dimitri let out a sigh of relief. He was happy that he didn't have to cross the bridge, and was happy to be closer to achieving the goal. This expidiiton was the only thing on his mind, and he was becoming a little distorted in the process. He just wanted to find the next piece of the puzzle and get going again. He enjoyed the company of the others, but he really wanted his beloved back with him.

 

Dimitri spoke to Draco. "Well, let us do what we need to do. Set up camp, and while you and the two ladies rest around the fire and sleep...Acheron and I will be looking around for the artifact and possibly get an idea of where to go next hopefully. I just hope is soon. My mind is drifting."

"I hope you won't be worrying about us," Acheron said with a look of amusement. "Afterall, Dimitri and I were able to fight off and... interrogate the Seneschal of Greed."

After thinking for a few moments, Acheron pulled out a scroll and tossed it over towards Diamond.

"It should be enough to keep away the creatures which will no doubt be attracted to your scents. Stay out of trouble you three..."

"You don't know the O'Malley coat of arms now do you?" Draco asked slightly as he looked at the two. "And do you know the exact location of the artifact?" Draco asked as he looked at them. "Not saying I don't trust you two. I trust you both with my life. But I don't trusts greed's mind you know how they can be tricky you know,"

"Just tell us what it looks like. Shouldn't be too hard to find it, and we already defeated one of these cultists. We will be perfectly fine. Just give us what it looks like and we will go looking for it. You can say here with those two..." Dimitri pointed at the two mares. "...go work your magic or something like that. Let the masters do the harder job." Dimitri gave a sly grin.

 

"I only joke with you comrade." He laughed.

"I know but only an O'Malley can open the enchantments without harm. And you must know what the pass code is. With out those two requirements your going to become Kentucky Fried Unicorns. That's why we need to stick together my friends," Draco explained. "Trust me I can see where the coat of arms are and no you can't use black magic to destroy the box.

My ancestors were unicorns who studied black and white magic. They were expert spell weavers and crafters. Destroy the coat of arms you destroy our best chance of rescuing the six element wielders," Draco explained slightly

"Hmm, we can still look for it. When we come across it, one of us will go and get you to come and open it. Take some time to relax yourself. We won't do anything stupid like destroying it. A scouting party is always a great idea in a situation like this. If we come across anymore cultists we can inform the rest of the group. Get a surprise attack on them or something, yes?"

Diamond caught the scroll then gave Acheron a disapproving look. "What makes you so sure I want to stay behind ?" She said, looking at the scroll, then up at Acheron. "I wanna check this place out...and you will need all the help you can get." She said, holding the scroll back out for Acheron to take.

Draco chuckled "I'm fine don't worry about me. Let's get this over with shall we," he said as he started to walk towards the temple slowly with his friends behind him. He looked behind him with a false smile. "Well aren't you ponies coming along," Draco said with the false smile still on.

"I am very interested in seeing what this temple looks like."She then trotted close to Draco and began to speak to him, "So what should we be on the look out for in this temple? more cultists?"

"No I think it's because this area is so dangerous. Don't worry I'll protect you Delia," Draco said with a joking tone. He smiled at her then to Diamond. "The temple isn't that far away now. And I'll rest after we get the next clue alright my dear friends," Draco said as he continued his way to the temple.

"I just hope we can hurry and get this done with. I'd love to find the next clue and location already. The faster this is, the more sane I stay." Dimitri honestly said. "Hope she's safe. Even though I keep getting reassured, I'm not certain anymore about it. The cultist might have been a cheating, lying, evil thing....but maybe he was using the truth to get to me as well..."

"Dimitri I'm a gambler. I know when some pony is lying and he was lying alright,," Draco said as he looked to his friend. "He anted up but couldn't pay his bill," he said with a smile" so he went with what the O'Malley's call the dealer. I prefer Texas hold'em as my game heh so much more fun in the game,"

"I really hope he was lying. I'm already pretty far gone with my mind, and any added pressure will probably push me over the edge." Dimitri shook his head and looked around. "I've never been this far in the Everfree....is really beautiful here. I always come to the Everfree when I had time to kill before Fluttershy would come home. I built a small house here when I first came to the country, but not as far in as we are now. I just hope we can do this."

"We can do this my friend trust me," Draco said as they arrived at the temple. "Alright we are here. Now to find that box," Draco said to his friends "Stick together I really don't like this feeling I'm getting from here alright every pony," Draco said as he stood strong but on the inside he was afraid.

Acheron huffed as he repacked the scroll he had tossed to Diamond.

"You're a tough one to please aren't you? I say something admittedly inconsiderate, you get angry. I try to offer some sort of apology and means of safety, and you don't like that either. Whatever..."

The unicorn then turned to Draco.

"I do believe that the O'malley emblem was engraved all over your house, but I thank you for the information regarding a pony of your kin needed to unlock it..."

Acheron paced around as he waited for the others to make up their minds. He was beginning to get impatient at the seeming fickleness...
