Acheron shivered in the coldness of the desert night. It seemed almost familiar to him, but this was from absorbing the essence of Apophis.

"An ancient snake traveling through a realm known as the Duat, everwaiting in the cold waters to swallow Ra and become supreme once more..."

He wanted to cast a flame cloak, but that would attract too much attention...

Dimitri yawned and shook his mane around. He stroked his beard and looked at the manor. "Maybe a ten minute power nap will recharge me a little bit. Is okay with you Draco? I hate the idea of sleeping...but is better than being completely shutdown from tiredness."

"I don't mind. Take all the time you need my friend. Pome(aka Rome ) wasn't built in an hour you know," Draco said as he opened the manor's door again. "And welcome back to Draco's penthouse  we have food, bed and a place to clean yourself off," Draco said jokingly with a smile on his muzzle.

Dimitri was relieved. He'd take a nice quick rest on a armchair, just a couple minutes though. An hour would be way too long for him to accept. "Thank you Draco." He said with a smirk on his face. He stretched his legs again and took his pack off for the first time in a couple hours. He rubbed his shoulders and went to sit down for a nice quick rest.

"Want a fire my friend I have fire wood at the back," Draco said as he looked at the fire place. Tonight would be chilly so he would have to bring in acouple logs of would. While it's true he wasn't as strong as Dimitri he could still carry a lot of fire wood if he had to.

"No, the coldness keeps me comfortable. Reminds me of home. Is very good, but if the others want heat just wake me up and I'll help you with the fire." Dimitri yawned and laid back in a chair he sat in. "Just ten minutes, no longer. I will be fast sleeper." Dimitri yawned yet again and closed his eyes for the first time in a really long while.

Wincing, She moved across a little closer to the opposite side of the bed so Delia could lay down next to her. She was wondering if this was a good idea...or if Delia would find it a little awkward. Diamond thought it would be quite cozy...and sweet.

Delia's heart began to beat as she climbed on the bed. She laid next to Diamond and scootched towards her a little. "So Diamond what do you plan to do after this is all over?" Delia asked. Should i nuzzle her, or should i kiss her? she thought as she waited for her response.

Diamond smiled. "Do what I have always done...work at my tea shop...maybe...get myself a special somepony." She said, moving closer to Delia. She stared into her eyes for a moment before kissing her. Diamond placed her forelegs around Delia and gently stroked the back of her neck as she closed her eyes, letting herself get lost in the kiss.

Delia was surprised yet immensely happy that Diamond initiated. Delia's heart beated faster as she felt herself melting in Diamonds hooves. "O...Oh my, this is wonderful. You are a great kisser." Delia said softly as more thoughts popped in her head. i feel like taking this further but it would be wrong. Or would it?

Delia blushed as she heard Diamonds words. "You are too kind. I must admit though, i thought you might have been forbidden fruit. Knowing what i know now, i feel as if i could follow you to tartarus and back." Delia said as she looked around. I hope i didnt come off as cheesy or needy. maybe i said to much..but i really feel like she could be the one. Delia thought as she spotted a peculiar book on Draco's bookshelf.

Diamond laughed. "Forbidden fruit ? Why would you ever think that ? And the same goes for you. I would travel the world if I had too. I don't know why I never admitted it until now but...its true, Delia...I think I love you." She said, turning a bright shade of pink...it actually could be seen passed her coat as well...which rarely happened.

Dimitri woke up from his short nap. He was awakened by a sharp nightmare. Not a very pleasant one either. It was about eleven minutes since he fell asleep. "Minute off, but is better than anymore time." He groaned as he got himself up from the chair. He wanted to get going immediately, but instead he stretched and had a nip from his flask.

Delia smiled widely. "I am happy you shared that with me Diamond, because...I think love you too." Delia said as she proceeded to give Diamond a kiss. She closed her eyes but something was bugging her.

 

Delia opened her eyes, "Excuse me for just one moment~. Delia said as she walked towards the bookshelf. She pulled a book out from the shelf and glanced over it. She tossed it on the bed and went back over to Diamond. "Sorry, where were we?" She said

Diamond's heart skipped a beat as Delia kissed her...she felt herself falling into the kiss, as if nothing else in the world mattered...this was all just so perfect...until Delia got up which brought Diamond out of the dream world and back into the real world.
Diamond glanced at the book then looked at Delia. "What exactly was that about ?" She asked, looking back down at the end of the bed where the book sat. "Something important or...what ?"

Dimitri shook his head. "I'm starting to understand Acheron now..." He whispered to himself. He walked into the kitchen to prepare himself a quick meal. Something easy, maybe just a slice of bread. "Can't go can we? Acheron is probably already at the next artifact.....I know where it is now...but I can't abandon the group again. No matter how much I want to..." He whispered at the last part and looked at the ceiling with his eyes closed.

Draco was outside chopping some wood singing a slight song aloud. He was making sure they would have fire wood for the trip through the desert. The song itself was to keep his spirits up. He rolled his neck as he put the next log onto the chopping block. It was hard work but rewarding.

Delis plopped the book on the bed. It had a triple 'x' across it and a picture of a Zebra and a Pegasus pony on it. "I'm sorry, but this book is quite peculiar and for some reason I am drawn to it" Delia said as she looke over the boom and Diamond.

 

Diamond smiled. "If that other pony had a horn, it could be us." She said. "Well...lets check it out." She said. Her horn glowed and the book floated over to her. She patted the spot on the bed next to her, gesturing for Delia to come lay down (If she hasn't already) as the book opened up to the first page.

Dimitri decided to go outside after having a slice of bread. The inside of the manor was too containing for him...among other things...so he exited out the front door and decided to look for Draco. Maybe Draco had something useful for him to do. Better than being a non-active waste. As if he wasn't hurting inside, this sitting around still didn't make him feel better. This time though, he'd try his best to not storm off.

 

Dimitri spotted Draco collecting firewood and singing a catchy song. "Hey Draco!" Dimitri spoke as he walked up to him. "I can't stay inside the manor any longer. You have anything for me to do? I'm having doubts about this group again....I'm thinking Acheron had the right idea. He's probably doing so much more than I am right now. It's making me regret not following him..."

"What we need is strong healing herbs. Are you familiar with alchemy?" Draco asked as he looked at his friend right in the eyes. "Alchemy isn't magic. it's science the zebra's practice it. Since you dislike magic I've been thinking maybe there's another route. For instance the way we turn raw eggs through cooking it. That is alchemy," Draco said.

Dimitri gave a half nod. "Not really. I was never taught much about potions or stuff like that. My medical training is all physical. Only thing I know is what leaves give comfort to open wounds, what plants can help with certain conditions, and what plants can be eaten in the forest. That's about it. I never liked the idea of potions. Was raised to not really use them."

Delia laid down next to Diamond. Delia than began to read a page of the book. "It looks like this is about the love between the 2 characters on the front cover." Delia said as she continued reading. She then got to a part in the book where things where getting a little...descriptive. Delia blushed and looked away. "O..oh my! Um...lets just put this away." She said while blushing more.
