Acheron scowled at Draco's arrival, not wanting a potential holder of new knowledge to get away.

"Not this one O'Malley, this viking's challenge belongs to us," Acheron said as his hoof stomped the ground, creating pillars of darkness which set a ward up around the area to keep unwanted arrivals out.

Draco looked at Acheron and said "You said it yourself we don't have time for worthless distractions. humph now your being a hypocrite," Draco said as he sighed. "Nothing is new with you Acheron. humph I have no respect for the Vikings. They raped and pillaged for all I care they deserve hell," he said coldly. He looked to Zefira "You coming Zefira?" he sighed as he saw them not moving and snorted. "hypocrite," he said as he walked away back to Avalon.

Delia motioned Dimitri to follow her.

"Hmm Im not sure i'm able to speak your original language." she said as she came upon a path leading downwards.

"he might have treasures, or even relevant information." She said as she looked at the stout pony.

Skwisgaar cackled.

"this coming from someone who pretended to be a knight? I heard about Draco." He said as he spit on the ground.

"Disgraceful. I will let you have my treasures. but you must first kill me!" He said as he lunged towards Acheron and Zefira

Dimitri followed Delia. "Is okay. Many can not speak Sovestrian. I am the only one in Equestria who can speak it!" Dimitri smiled. He was putting on a happy facade to try and get rid of the bad thoughts he was having in the back of his mind. All he knew was that he loved her, and wanted her back.

Acheron chuckled as Apophis immediately materialized as part of Acheron's dark aura, swatting the viking away with its sharp, spiked tail.

"You're going to have to do better than just mindless charge and tackle techniques I'm afraid."

Acheron walked over to the viking, his aura of Apophis hissing as it prepared to strike down and bite.

Draco shrugged letting the insults fly by him. "Honestly your nothing more than some pirate in my eyes," he said as he started to look once more for the artifacts. He began to hummed to himself a slow seductive song. He looked through the rubble slowly still looking.

Delia smiled and nodded.

"I learn something new everyday it seems. Do you teach your wife your language?" She asked.

Skwisgaar growled loudly. Loud enough to shake the heavens themselves.

"Fool! Im not even at full strength!" He yelled as he materialized a spear and chucked it at Acheron.

"You cannot dodge that!" He boasted as the spear created a sonic boom.

Apophis but its head forward as a shield, but the blast was still strong enough to send Acheron flying through the walls of a building. It hurt too, but what irritated Acheron more was that Apophis had been banished from the damage to itself.

"That'll take some time to recover from. Rest serpent..."

Acheron walked out from the building and looked at Skwisgaar.

"Surely that's not all," Acheron mocked. "You must have more tactics that just a flimsy stick!"

Acheron braced himself for an attack.

Dimitri looked at Delia as he still followed the mare. "Funny enough, yes. After the first time we met she was very intrigued with my culture and language. Oh, it reminds me of the first time I met her..." Dimitri started to tear up, but they were tears of happy remembrance. The first time he ever met her was also when she saved his life. "Have I told you the story of how we met?" Dimitri asked Delia. He knew that going into a story during this mission was probably not a good idea, but remembering happy times really improved his mindset.

Skisgaar laughed.

"I have brute force on my side. You can not harm me. But i can harm you!" He shouted.

He then sent a hail of blades towards Acheron, all varying in size and shape. The area of effect was large and the blades that missed came down with earth shattering force.

Zefira was caught in the midst. She figured the Viking would only focus on one of them, but the area of the attack reached her as well. She quickly dashed into an unaffected area and threw a knife  at him. It only passed through not making a mark.

"No, I don't believe you have. Why dont you enlighten me?" Delia said as she looked back and smiled.

Acheron dissolved into a mist and reappeared elsewhere nearer to the angry viking. His horn glowed green and black as several rifts formed in the space around him, sprouting sharp tendrils.

"I have magic on my side, the type that make even the dead fear me," Acheron laughed as the tendrils shot towards the viking. He noticed Zefira was at a disadvantage, and so shot a spell towards her to make her attacks effective against the ghost.

Skwisgaar took a hit to the chest and spat out blood. He recoiled and laughed.

"Good! I am liking what you are showing me. But this mare...she needs to go." He said as he dove straight down for Zefira.

He materialized a sword and lunged at Zefira.

Zefira dodged the blade and slice the vikings face, drawing blood.

"Thanks Acheron!" She shouted as she recoiled for a second stab.

Skwisgaar dodged and head butted Zefira sending her to the ground.

"You fool! thank him later!" He advised as he went straight for Acheron again. 

This time he zig-zagged and threw a punch at the Unicorn.

Dimitri smiled and took a breath. "Well, it was summer. I had been in Equestria for about three months traveling and looking for Ponyville, which i had no idea existed at the time. I finally found the town, and was so excited to have found it, but the heat of this new country was really harming me. Living in freezing weather for all my life made me accustomed to freezing, but Equestria was so hot..." Dimitri remembered the blistering heat.

 

"I was weak, and so sickly. I felt like I was dying. I hurriedly built a small shack to live in on the edge of the Everfree forest. I was a little scared to meet the residents. A couple days after building the shack I was walking through a field when i suddenly collapsed. I felt my legs give out, and my heart begin to slow down. I was dying....I knew I was dying...and i was about to accept it. I hated myself, and thought death was the best thing for me."

 

"Everything was blurry, but I saw a figure approach me. I could barely hear anything, and i just passed out. When I woke up, I was in a cottage. I had ice-packs on my body, and had bandages on my legs. I looked around and saw her in the corner of the room. She was slightly scared, but came up to me and told me what happened. She saved my life. She saw me collapse, and thought I was a monster at first..." Dimitri smiled and sighed. His story was rather long, but he loved every part of what he was saying, and wished to continue saying.

Acheron gritted his teeth as the punch landed, moreso out of anger from seeing Zefira get hit by the opponent.

"That... was unacceptable!"

Acheron sent another tendrils to slice at the viking, quickly following up with a blast of dark magic mixed with the weakening energy of Apophis.

Delia couldnt help but to coo at the story.

"Aww thats so sweet! Tell me what else happened after that." Delia asked.

She liked hearing a story such as this.

Skwisgaar smiled and soon vanished to the ground.

"Tricked you! Should have been more tactful." He taunted.

Zefira appeared where Skwisgaar was supposed to be. Although she didnt take the slash, she did take the dark energy blast. It knocked her to the ground where Skwisgaar was waiting to catch her with a spear.

"Oh here is an added twist for you." Skwisgaar then threw more hails of blades at acheron. This time they were more focused.

"You either take the damage or let Zefira die...shouldnt have tried to blast me." He laughed.

Dimitri had a large grin on his face. He felt stupid for it, but was happy all at the same time. "Well, she nursed me back to nearly perfect health. I was still weak though, but she saved my life. I thanked her......but I remember that I could barely even talk to her. I looked into her eyes and my knees got weak and my mouth would not move."  Dimitri chuckled a little.

 

"She helped me back to my shack to rest. I told her it was okay for her to leave. About a couple days after that I heard a pounding on my door. I was about to get up, but my door was broken and it busted open. Everypony in town kicked my door down. They had torches and apparently thought I was a monster because when i slept I make sickly noises and it scared some of the young ones. I did not know the language so great, and I could not tell them that I was not a threat."

 

"They were about to...attack me I was certain...but then Fluttershy pushed pass the crowd and threw her arms around me, hugging me. She was crying slightly, and told the others that I was not a monster. I was not a danger to them. She held me tight, and all I remember feeling was such a great feeling of love. It..." Dimitri stopped suddenly to wipe his eyes dry.

Acheron gritted his teeth. He definitely didn't want to let Zefira die, but that would leave him open to the brunt of the flying daggers.

"Eh, nothing new in taking several mortal wounds," Acheron spat as he recalled his betrayal. Acheron braced himself for impact, but as he did, he uttered a few words, causing a hieroglyph to burn in front of him...

Delia could not help but to get a little teary eyed herself. She went over to hug Dimitri and give him a hoofkerchief.

"I see now. She really must be a nice mare to do that. Your story..it touches me Dimitri. How did you end up Marrying her?" she asked.

Zefira tried to get up but it felt like all her strength had left her. She tried looking up but could only get a brief glance at what was happening.

fire in the sky? She thought.

One blade hit next to her causing dirt to be kicked up in her face.

"A-Acheron....kill him quickly..I'll be fine."

Dimitri hugged Delia, and then dried his eyes. "I asked her to dinner with me for the first time about a week after she saved my life, for the second time. After three months of learning the language from her, helping her with anything she needed,  and being there for her I asked her to a special dinner. We laughed, and spoke about events, and when dessert was done I was so nervous. Sweating, and worried about if she would reject me. I had a small box under the table. I presented it to her, and just said 'Will you marry me?' She was crying and said yes. I gave her my great grandmother's necklace, and.... we kissed... for....I can not even remember how long." Dimitri smiled.

"Aww that is most adorable and romantic." Delia said as she looked for the group.

"Let us hurry and find the group so that we may give you the chance to kiss her once more." Delia couldnt spot them anywhere.

All she hear was faint battle sounds and a loud booming voice. She decided to follow the noise.

"I'm not going to allow you to get hurt or killed," Acheron responded. He continued to hold his ground, until finally the daggers pierced his flesh. It hurt like hell, making Acheron struggle to stay standing. However, the blood that dripped from his body flowed to the symbol burning on the ground. A set of shadowy claws sprung forth and pulled the daggers out from Acheron's body, and quickly flung them towards the viking.

"Damage sharing. They are your weapons, and with the dark spell, my damage is added to the damage you receive from your own weapons..."

Skwisgaar's laugh soon turned into a look of panic.

He dodged a few but took the rest. As the weapons pierced his body he let out scream.

"Good! More of that!" He yelled.

Zefira tried to gather any strength she had and got up. 

"Acheron! It looks like all he can take is one good shot from your tendrils! Try stunning him with dark magic and following it up with a strike." Zefira shouted.

After she shouted she soon leaned up against the nearest upright structure and passed out.

You owe me....Acheron.

(Still don't really know what's going on but...here comes a really crappy post...)

 

Diamond followed behind the group, sticking close to Draco. She thought about their time back at the library but decided to help Draco search for the artifact.
She was still feeling rather upset about her ordeal...about not being home, but kept telling herself that there were more important things. "So...do you have any idea what the artifact looks like?" She asked, picking up a rather large stone.

Acheron nodded and powered up his dark energy. Instead of shooting it immediately at Skwisgaar, he sent it up into the air in an orb.

"Dark Sphere, this one has the added effect of letting me incapacitate an enemy, so long as an ally of mine is unable to aid me and my own damage is too far. Checkmate for you, seems you did all the work for me!"

The sphere flashed and then reappeared in front of Skwisgaar, forcibly entering his body. The tendrils from the rifts all stabbed at once....

Dimitri nodded and followed Delia. He began to hear the sounds of battle, and was growing increasingly worried. Dimitri started to cough, and he stopped himself for a moment. He kept coughing for several minutes and then he shook his head. "I am...okay.." He said as he wiped some blood from his mouth and nose.
