Lorcan smiled as he got in the hot water. "Well first I flew into my room upstairs.I looked out the window and saw the beautiful sea and sky. Then i went into my drawer and pulled out a cigar which i proceeded to light. After that i came outside and watched you...i mean i approached you." Lorcan said as he shifted the cigar from one side of his mouth to the other. 

 

"That, and... what truly happened to that colt? I've never seen somepony lose so much blood before, and it's so disturbing..."

She shivered a little.

"Yeah, well, somepony once said that the woods are a dark, yet beautiful place. Given these aren't technicslly woods, but...you know what I mean."

 

She shuffled her hooves again, and looked down a sshe watched them kick dirt. She came across a small drop off and sat down, and then montioned for Nightfall to sit with her. "We have to go back at some point, you know. Someponies might freak if they can't find us." She stopped, and quickly added. "I mean, not that I want to go back either but...I just....yeah."

 

Nightfall sat down next to her.

"Of course. Besides, I don't think I'm cut out for living out here in this... jungle for an extended period of time."

Beat chuckled and let go of her. "What do you say you and I grab some sandwiches and go for a swim or something ?" He asked.

After a while, Star opened her eyes and yawned. She sat up and glanced around the room. She had just had the most wonderful dream about her and Max...a little strange...but still wonderful.

She smiled and lay back down, happy to be next to Max...even if he was still asleep.

Max stretched long in a yawn, only to be shocked awake by the pain in his side from such strenuous exercise.

"Ack, son of a-" He looked to the left of him to see a very happy Star snuggling.

"Afternoon" He said on a very casual manner.

"So, after a good rest, feel like free-falling into a volcano?" He asked jokingly.

Star laughed. "Good afternoon to you to. And I think I am going to have to take a rain check on the volcano..." She said, chuckling, and nuzzling the end of his nose. "I had a wonderful dream about you and me." She said, smiling and resting her head on his shoulder, making sure she didn't touch any of his wounds.

That brought back some memories of his own dream.

"Yeah, so did I. I think I had a dream that was basically me watching my entire life play out in front of me." He thought about it, and then a smile came across his face.

"I don't think a single moment passed that you weren't present for." He said, returning the nuzzle.

"And hot damn you look good in a wedding dress" Max muttered to himself, ear to ear grin ever present.

Star smiled as Max nuzzled her...then she turned a bright shade of red. She had barely made out what Max had said...but she got the idea...something about her looking good in a dress...a wedding dress. "I'm flattered...you didn't look that bad yourself. We were at a party...there were allot of gifts, most of them seemed to be for a foal." She scratched her chin with her hoof. She wasn't sure if she should mention that it was their foal...

"Hmmm, lets see..." If you listen close, you can hear the gears turning in Max's head.

"Dream about us together...Party...Gifts for a foul..." Then came a very prominent DING! in his head. He immediately turned red at the thought, and the process of making it happen.

"Well, maybe one day. Then again, I can barely protect you and me. Throwing a foul into the mix..." Max trailed off. He did want a kid one day, but he feared he may end up being a crappy father.

"But I will figure it out. But lets cross that bridge when we get there, eh love?" Max said, giving another affectionate nuzzle.

"Anything else happen In your dream?"

Lorcan stopped for a minute as he thought to himself. I barely remember what happened. I can't let her know.

 "Well there is a possibility he nicked a major vein. But It was healed somehow."Lorcan said as he took a puff of his cigar.

"Oh where are my manners? Do you want one? Or is my smoking bothering you?"

Scamps shuffled her hooves again. "Yeah. I know ponies who would see that as a challenge, but I don't think I could take it. I'd feel bad about possibly having to resort to eating meat, and not having the comfort of a house and a home." She looked around, then down at Nihtfall's hoof, then up.

 

Gutless idiot. His hoof is right there. Just take it!

((We should probably get them back to the house soon. This isn't going anywhere besides establishing their love for each other. But since that's done....I think they need to talk to friends. (Like Accent and Lorcan.)))

Star frowned. "Wont be able to protect us ? Max, I fell off a water fall...and you through me back up to the top and injured yourself for my protection. You would be an amazing father." She said, looking him straight in the eye. She listened to everything else he had to say and shrugged. "Oh you know...a few other things." She said, smiling mischievously.

Being the social outcast Max is, he has had many opportunities in his 20 years of life to observe the behaviors of other ponies. He knew this look. The look Star was giving him. It was a look he saw a couple share as the left a restaurant, or a park at night. It reminded him if the...less than innocent moments of his dream. His wings spread out rigidly, and the green stallion battled to regain control of them-along with the burning sensation on his face.

'I-I see. Well I'm uh, very f-flattered." Max hadn't even kissed a mare before today, so this was definitely uncharted waters for him. He had to distract himself somehow.

"The mini fridge!"

"Let me grab us some water." He said quickly, getting up and trotting over to the fridge-wings still spread.

"Somehow..." She cuddled up close to him. "And no, I wouldn't want one, and you're smoking isn't bothering me. I couldn't see myself smoking, but I can see my hus-" She stopped and blushed a deep red "- Never mind."

 

Lorcan raised his eyebrow at the last part of her sentence. He thought nothing of it as well as her action of cuddling up to him.

She must be tired. Why else would she do that? He thought as he began singing lightly. The jets put him into a relaxed mood.

"Yeah, sure." She began to flutter off the ground and moce forward, but she stopped.

 

Get out of awkward situation mode; activate

 

"Actually, I'm going to head back and then go to my room. Not that I'm trying to avoid you or anything, it's just I' d like to catch up with my roommate, Accent."

 

With that, she shot above the trees, twirled (because what's a flight without fun?) and got above the trees. She spotted the house and flew toward it. She landed on the balcony that she determined was hers and walked in. "Hey Accent!" She called. No response. She shrugged, and figured Accent was not there. She quickly sat down, and thought about what had just happenned.

 

No. What she had just felt.

 

She found an acoustic guitar in the room, and began to sing out how she felt at that moment in time.

She crawled underneath the blankets until she was at the end of the bed where she popped her head out from below the blankets and smiled. "I wasn't done cuddling Mister. Come on..." She said, giggling and crawling back under the covers.

Star kissed him, placing her hooves around his neck. Then, she broke the kiss. "Guess." She said, grinning and moving closer to him before kissing him for the second time. Her heartbeat quickened and she...felt kinda nervous...it had been a while.

Max kissed back, getting the feeling of where this was going. He kissed her back, unsure how this was going to go. (Time skip GO!)

 

17 MINUTES LATER

 

So THATS what that's like. Max simply lay there stupid smile across his face, a slight twitch cropping up every now and again. He had Star close to him, giving her a quick kiss.

"That was...awesome." That was all he could think of to describe it. And awesome it was. He has never felt more love for anypony or anything as much as he loved Star right now.

She smiled slightly. "That was wonderful, Lorcan." She closed her eyes and got close to him, her head on his shoulder again, and a hoof on his chest.

  

 

Lorcan's heart skipped a beat as he felt Solara's hoof on his chest. "Uh...thank you." He nervously said.

What is she doing? could it be that she genuinely likes me? No, she must be really comfortable thats all. He thought as he took a short puff from his cigar.

"So, what do you plan on doing after this little soak in the jacuzzi?"

Star simply nodded as she let out a small sigh. "That was *Pant* quite nice." She said, snuggling up closer to him. "Its been a loooooong time since I have done anything like that...a really long time." She bit her lip for a moment before resting her head on Max's shoulder.

Good thing Max's wings were already out, as he had little trouble getting a wing under Star, wrapping it around her. His smile refusing to fade, he couldn't take his eyes off of her.

"That was the first time I have done anything like that. And I got to say, it was better than expected. Waaaay better." He held her close, nuzzling her ears.

"I look forward to doing this in the future." He said cheerfully

Star chuckled. "Give me some time to recuperate." She said, smiling and giving him a quick peck on the lips. "If we're talking about it...this...is my second time. The colt I met was a total jerk...he seemed nice but he turned out to be an ass...pardon the expression." She said. Her smile faded slightly at the memory.

"Who was he?" he asked put of concern. He noticed her smile fading, and he didn't like it. The last thing he wanted was to see his marefriend unhappy. He propped up against the back board-he would of sat up properly, but he was still regaining feeling in his body.
