writing The Passing Time

Do you fear the passing hour, waiting all alone?

Or discrimination of time itself, into every moment’s grief?

If it were all I knew, I would

And if I had you there, the pain would be no more

To understand the simple nature which is presented, my desire

Alone, now, and waiting for another

Alone, with each passing hour, and waiting for your return

One which may surely never come

I continue to walk the path which was set by malevolent nature

I refuse to lose, but it is impossible to win

All things of value shall be lost to the torrent of time

Accepting the truth of all matters

Realizing that they do not revolve around our desires

Hearts and minds which flutter by, ever in a dance eternal

They know nothing more than that simple rule of life

And I stand alone, as do so many

I find that it is left for me to decide

And to which I can scarcely consider

Abandonment of all that I once knew is an impossible dream

And so I shall never forget, but I suppose that I must accept it as well

Alone, with every day that passes, I fear the passing hour

Time itself, the discriminant

And I wait for it, alone
