1. You mean the players that have human characters in relationships with canon ponies have not been apart of the roleplay recently?

2. Yes but the advancement of Equestria technology is different for the very fact their is magic. Heck the lack of electricity and the likely use of magic as an energy source is one reasonable problem. There is also the worry of introducing technology that can actually be dangerous or harmful to ponies and Equestria if introduced.

 

3. Perhaps so, though I would have to read through as much information I can so as to offer a fuller list of questions and (possible) concerns.

1)2of the characters Fs and Rd have been replaced by Cinderscribe who has... for the most part elusively evading the subject i believe. I will talk to him about it sometime. So we are in danger of being reduced to one... Since QC's David gonna die i think.

2)Excuse me but we are not gonna introduce guns... And perhaps Celestia could restrict that usage by the humans and scientists.

I'm not talking about guns, as long as the humans allowed into Equestria are limited, but other technologies. More the impact and change introducing our technology could likely cause, more not in a beneficial way.

To jump on the explanation wagon for a second, to add a couple things:

 

1. Scholar: Logan and AJ are also involved romantically. And while Logan is one of the few humans who will remain as such at the beginning, at some point, maybe midway or nearer the end, he'll make the choice to transform to pony, as I plan on him staying with AJ in Equestria, and I honestly find Pony/Human romantic relations a bit odd (I do not have a problem if the pony is turned human, or the human turned pony, obviously)

 

2. Nios:

Heheheh, just what the heck did you expect me to introduce? That's kind of a big part of Logan's character. He's a Defender, and thus carries the tool necessary to do his job. And I can say, if I was going to a world that I knew was inhabited by mythological - and from what I understood, dangerous - critters, I'd take something for defense.

 

Course, Logan's trained and disciplined with his firearm, so it's not like he's going to go passing it around to any and all who take a shining to it, or going to walk around Everfree for the sole purpose of shooting something. Plus, he's not exactly going to have an unlimited supply of ammo. His use of the firearm will be reserved to either protect, or in a very rare possibility, demonstrate his skill with it at a festival or something. I like to imagine Equestria's Unicorn soldiers have the ability to fire concentrated blasts of magic like bullets, and would probably have some kind of target practice range set up (it is also because of this, that I plan for Logan to become a Unicorn when he turns pony, though an Earth would really make sense as well, as he has Mennonite roots and is also rather making stuff).

 

 

That's really all I had to add to that. Like Nios said, Hypno would probably be able to explain some things a little better.

Well I am glad to hear that. No matter how much one can consider characters of MLP:FiM attractive having a romantic, and more important a physical, relationship I feel should be a no go until either the human becomes a pony or the pony becomes a human.

On Logan having a gun and being able to shot and kill things, well that could cause problems. From what has been shown I feel it is reasonable to say that ponies don't fix problems or dangers by killing them. I would even be confidant in saying murder among ponies is next to unheard of, instead the intelligent races of the land working things out with words or a fight that doesn't kill.

 

To having a character walking around Equestria with a gun and shooting threats or dangers with intent to kill... I feel would not be looked at positively by ponies. More, I could seem many wishing to avoid Logan or even being afraid of him. A creature as strange as humans with the ability to kill with a weapon unlike any ponies have, to create a bleeding and graphic wound that brings death, and to do so at a distance without magic or a bow... that would scare a lot if ponies and I could even say the princesses would at the very least keep an eye on Logan if not request he hand over his weapon.

Just got home from work!

 

I have faith that 00's characters won't be so dumb as to carelessly weild their guns around-- after all, his characters have shown more tact than that!

 

My characters will bring their laptops, phones, cameras, and in my character Colette's case, guitars to play, to make up for the lack thereof in the current RP.

 

I expect at least a few of the Equestrians to be afraid of all of the humans, weapons or not, hence the monitoring.

 

And finally, I do want to explore Human x Pony relationship in the sequel, which is no doubt putting EquestrianScholar and 00 off- the latter to some extent. I'm not interested in straight up clop, so much as the couples simply picking up where they left off…

 

I understand this factor being the main turn off for you, Equestrian, but it's just something I really want to explore.

What of powering these electronic devices? As laptops, phones, and cameras of the human world require electricity though there may be pony examples that use other energy sources or be more primitive examples... the fact remains, perhaps through trial and error, that humans will need to find a way of powering yourself. 

 

I would also suggest not being to quick to have magic be the answer, as realistically their would likely be problems mixing human technology with pony magic. Some devices may even be fried, become unusable, or have odd effects about them if magic is used on them.

 

On human and pony relationships... well I feel there will be problems. At the very least for the reason that your having a biped in a relationship with a quadruped, more because of the size difference and different anatomy as well.

There's always solar power. That could at least handle the small electronics like phones and cameras. And a makeshift electromagnetic generator shouldn't be too hard to craft with the necessary materials and items. That could handle the rest of the stuff they bring

The answer to that fact, Logan having a device capable of ending a life so easily, is right there in my post. Logan's disciplined with it, being a police officer, and (though this wasn't mentioned) Angie's gonna be a Pegasus, so it's not like she can do anything with her own anyway.

Not to sound boastful, but it's as Hypno said, my characters are a bit more tactful than to just whip out a gun and be like 'THIS! IS MY BOOMSTICK' to a crowd of ponies, and they carry concealed, so no one would even see them until drawn anyway.

 

At worst, Logan would end up glacking a Manticore or Timberwolf, or other such threatening creature, if it was near to town and he felt it was a danger, and probably get on the bad side of Fluttershy, and maybe some others as a result. A simple solution would just be to ask him to hold out on taking such measures unless there was no other foreseeable way around it.

As for the relations, again, I'm not really a fan of Pony/Human relations, but I can move past that for the sake of this RP, as that is within my power.

And we don't really need to worry about any sort of that business. I've never straight up said it, more hinted several times - both subtly and maybe not so subtly - throughout the course of the RP, that Logan follows the lifestyle of 'virgin till marriage', something that he'd be a pony long before anyway. The farthest he will and has ever gone is kissing, and cuddling. That's it.

 

As for any other character, I'm the kind if RP'er that only makes hints, or 'fades to black'. I don't do graphic or in detail. Were these last few paragraphs necessary? No clue, but I'm a mite tired and running on a boat load of caffeine at the moment, so I'm just yammering anyway.

As for powering human tech? I'unno. That won't really effect me too much. Logan might have a phone on him, just because it was in his pocket at the time, and firearms don't require electricity or anything like that to operate. Angie would probably have be effected though, since she'll have a camera just to record stuff maybe. The only thing I've planned for her to do is force Logan into taking part in anything she records, namely making him boop well known ponies on the nose and generally shoving him out of his comfort zone because that's what sisterlike best friends are for, and maybe taking part in some of the other human's productions because 'HEYIUSEDTOBEAHUMANBUTLOOKNOWIAMACUTEPEGASUSTHISISAWESOMEIHAVEPOOFYFURTHATISSUPERSOFTANDLIKEISAIDITISPOOFYANDLOFYANDAWESOMEOHANDICANWIGGLEMYEARSINDEPENDENTLYOFEACHKTHERSERIOUSLYTHISISTHEGREATESTTHINGIHAVEEVERDONEINMYLIFE'

I'm a *fade to black* RPer, too. Firstly, I think that it's far more effective in a scene to just post "and then there was an X-scene" rather than go into revolting detail. Second, I don't think that describing a sex scene has any place in RP unless you're RPing erotica. Which you won't be on here, cuz it's against the rules.

@@EquestrianScholar, I would say that it would remain platonic-ish, apart from hugs and perhaps face kissing. The fact is, that most humans would be freaked out at the thought of doing much more with an animal, regardless of whether the animal is a sentinent pony or not. So the humans wouldn't be doing much more than that, simply cuz of the deep down aversion to anything more than that.

Except with Asari no matter what they mate with, they kids turn out Asari, just with some genetic aspect of the other species. Plus, it's part of the Asari genetic makeup that they can mate with whatever the dickens they want.

Time once again for not being able to respond in time like I want to!

 

I like Shadow's suggestions! A combination of solar and electromagnetic power should do the trick!

 

Hell, it'll give the humans a chance to show off a bit of what they're capable of!

 

Human ingenuity that won't cost any Unicorn a bit of their magic! It's a win-win situation!

 

It'll also give Celestia a little more reason to spy on the humans!

I'm counting on those problems to arise on relationship front. I'm in agreement with Nios and Shadow in saying all's fair in love and transdimensional interspecies relationships, so long as both parties are sentient, and are consenting.

 

I'm too lazy to speak for anyone else at the moment, but two of my characters would like to stay human when they go to Equestria.

 

My "main" character Colette is a musician, whose primary instrument is the guitar, so trading her fingers for hooves would be like a Pegasus losing their wings -- she'd be distraught!

 

Not to mention, she hardly got a chance to do.so in the current RP, so yeah…

 

My other character, Stephen, won't see the advantage of becoming a Pony... maybe he could be the one who builds the solar panels and electromagnetic generator!

I also want the Finders to somehow get an internet connection, as a means to stay connected to their friends, family and fans. I really need to flesh this idea out, though, but regardless, one more reason for Celestia to have the humans monitored!

 

Also, humans making Princess Luna into gamer! That should totally happen!
