Compass Rose looked toiwards Plague Doctor.``Alright. Go find yourself a cave`` was her response.

She turned towards the rest of the group and said "Okay, so we already have some ponies buliding shelter. Does anypony know the seawater-purifying spell?"

Plague nodded at her walking towards the jungle sending crows to gather supplies. One landed near Wheatley squawking at him for the medical supplies he had on him.

 

He noticed a cliff near by as he got closer he found a cave. Pulling out the knife he walked in looking to see what was inside.

Wheatley gave the crow anything it could carry and then it flied away.

 

"Well, wherever he goes I hope he doesn't get in trouble. Tent is half way there"

 

"Also, Rose, I took a few water bottles from the storage room of the ship, I don't know if anyone knows a spell for purifying seawater but the bottles could serve for extracting the salts of the sea if we make a campfire and add heat to it, we could also make something like a purifier, we add sea water in the bottle,  we add heat to the bottle and the water starts to steam up, the salts remain on the bottle while the steam gets conducted to another bottle that receives the clean water, and there we go." He said very fast that he thought that no one would understand

 

"Or we could search for a river if you prefer"

Compass had a knack for understand fast speak, as her mother was the champion of fast talkers.

 

"I think we should do both. Science and rivers. But today, we shall use science because the sun sets soon."

 

She proceeded to walk towards the shelter to inspect it. "It's looking quite nice. I have a feeling we'll be here for a while, so we will have a chance to furnish it."

Plague entered the cave hoping to find nothing but an empty cave. Listening for an echos of snoring or something move he couldn't hear anything. "Seems this place is safe for now." Whispering to himself as a crow landed on his head.

 

Pulling out a vial of fire he set some dry wood ablaze lighting up the cave to find out it was huge cave, "Need to make a trap system before nightfall..." Talking to the crow. Taking the supplies from him he petted the bird and put him on a flat spot in the cave to rest. Walking outside he gather anything useful.

Gearbox found an overturned log of some sort, and found it was flat enough to act as a table. He layed out his bag and pulled a few papers from it. 

"Engine, wings, box, ship. The big stuffs here." He comforted himself, trying to ignore the fact he saved so little, compared to the trunk full he came on the ship with.

@@MyLittleCell, Selune was getting to her stuff, checking the spellbook, her family photo that she had managed to salvage and the rest. She looked at her family and wondered if she'd ever see them again. She didn't want to lose them... but she wanted to get away. Now she understood how much family meant to her. With the edge if her eye she sees Gearbox also unpacking.

"Whatcha doing right there?" she says as she curiously aproached him from behind.

Compass had then proceeded to gather some firewood. Any easy task, thanks to driftwood. She gathered it all up in a pile and began to cast the fire spell. She concentrated, thought about a nice, warm fire and casted the spell. She was not the most skilled magic user, so it exausted her. She fell by the fire, panting and occasionaly muttering "I did it!"

Kyz woke up after he short little snooze on the beach and saw everypony working and moving around. He got up and headed towards the captain. His head was killing him, it felt as if his hear was beating under his left temple. "Anything i can help with?" He asked the captain whilst rubbing his head.

"Well," muttered Compass, "For a start you can tell me if you are okay. Then, you can gather either some firewood or ask the guys building a shelter if they need any help." She turned away and muttered to herself "I am NOT casting another fire spell." 

Compass then wondered how comfy the shelter would be and decided that the shelter will be temporary.

"Well, the tent is done, bad thing is, its not big enough for the 5 of us, two of might have to sleep somewhere else and probably don't sleep at all, this is unknown territory, who knows what happens in the dark." He said really exhausted from all the day work.

 

"Man, i'm going to be the first one drinking of this water, i'm really tired"

Compass looked at Wheatley. "Alright," she said. "You may have the water first. I'd like to have some water next because lighting fires via magic is very exausting unless your special talent is magic, like that purple princess. What was she called again?"

 

She slowly got up, walked towards the tent and poked her head inside. She saw... (What did she see?)

Gearbox jumped a bit at selune. He didnt hear her coming, and he had spaced out, thinking about those scrolls....

"Its, uh... Some of my inventions. The ones i saved, anyway." He looked over the scrolls one last time before he sighed.

" I had so many....Who knows how many years i lost in those few minutes. I dont suppose you'd understand?"

Walking back to his cave Plague started to cook his dinner, "Cooked coconut...not one of my favorite foods, but whatever it talks to survive." Talking out loud.

 

Checking for anypony near his cave, "I think I'm alone for now." Softly talking to himself. Taking off his mask running his hoof along his face feeling the cuts from the glass. Grabbing a rag and dipping it in some warm water he cleaned his wounds, "That sound take care of the bleeding, but I need to find something to fix that giant crack in my mask and need to find some glass to replace the broken glass in the eye stock it." Tossing the bloody rag in a corner of the cave.

"I had copies. Only some of them. I guess i overestimated our chances of not crashing and brought originals." Gearbox shifted his scrolls around. 

"Miscellaneous things. One is an engine. One is a ship thing. One is the wings on my back. Bet you were wondering about that?"

Compass Rose saw a small "room" witha log as a small table. It needed beds and the celing had a few holes, but it looked habitable. 

 

"Um, I'll go see if I can find some of those big leafs. I saw some earlier, and they have at least four purposes that I can think of at the moment."

@@MyLittleCell,  "You made them yourself? Oh sweet Celestia! Were you... hurt? Did you make these wings out of nessecity?" she says clearly surprised. "I'm sorry but... wow, i've been experimenting with my magic too, specifically delving into illusionism and divination, but this... is AWESOME! I mean... i've always dreamed of flying. It must be a wonderful feeling right?"

Gearbox frowned, looking off to the side. "I don't know. I don't remember the last time i flew." He rubbed one of his wings with his hoof. 

"I don't even know if these work." Gearbox walked around the log to the other side, so he'd be directly facing Selune. "Unfortunately they'd only work for pegasi as of now. Maybe in the future all will fly, but for now..." He looked back at his Brass wings. "Even i might not."

@@MyLittleCell, She thought hard for a moment on how to help Gearbox and suddenly a great idea snapped on her head. 
"Wait a minute! I have an AWESOME idea on how to get your blueprints back! You have seen them right? That means they are in your mind and perhaps you don't remember them by heart? Maybe... there could be a spell where i could go into your memories and take a picture of them! Then i could return and.... TADA!" she says opening her hooves smilling at the idea. 
"Sound like a really hard spell if you ask me... but perhaps with the help of other unicorns maybe you could ACTUALLY do it! I would be glad to help whatever the case."

Kyz sat for a moment thinking of what he could do to help everypony out, he decided he would go and make sure they were indeed the only ponies on the island, it would also give him an idea of where everything was. "Hey captain, im gonna go do a perimeter check ill be back in four hours max." He said to the captain and then headed into the (Jungle or forest guys? im gonna say jungle unless you guys like a simple forest better) jungle after unlocking his backpack and grabbing his sword and machete.

Compass looked towards Kyznetsov. "Alright, just be very careful. Also, if you find some of those big palm leafs, bring 'em back." she said.

 

Then she walked towards Gearbox and Selune. She had heard their entire converstaion about the scrolls and was a bit curious.

 

She asked, "What will these scrolls be good for anyways? Even if we all had funcional brass wings that were as good as Kyz's wings, we still couldn't fly back home."

Gearbox paused for a moment before smiling. "Yes... I know what they are, its the small details that escape me, important as they are. If you could mess with my memories..." Gearbox paused before turning to

Compass. "You are right, but i do have...." He licked his lips. "I must ask that what i show you now will not leave this island, both of you. I've spent far to much time on it to leave it with someone else."

Compass Rose nodded.This seemed all very intresting. It was like when she was a filly and she kept secrets for everyone.This was probably no different. 

 

Suddendly an idea came into her head. "Does any of you have a feather and paper? A pen will do, but you get what I mean. I had an idea that has nothing to do with anything, but it's still good."

((Guys I'm really sorry I haven't been on in forever, I had some family issues I had to deal with and couldn't be on my computer for weeks. I'm just gonna jump back in since I read all that I missed!))

 

Novella was laying limply by the life boat, lost in her own thoughts.

 

"Scary island...Low chance of survival...." She mumbled to herself. She was quite weak at the moment, mentally and physically. Partly because of her leg injury and partly because the trauma of the crash and losing most of her possessions was driving her insane, literally. She knew she was on an island with some other ponies, but she couldn't register much else.
