Dear little girl

With so much hurt, I know

And in sadness I look upon you

 

I understand as no wise man would

That of you, and what was

Now, and what is no more

 

Dearest little girl

My heart to yours

To make my own unto your desire

 

And through all that was and still must be told

A new story, brought forth from ashes

Without so much thought, I see

 

Wither and wither

My heart, it will be so
