"If you could lift it up, I could hold it upon my back so I wont be using as much strength as I need to. Then you could put the part on and we'd be done!"

Giant obligingly stood on his tiptoes, leaning forward so try to raise the trace up in the air by the tightened front bolt. "Alright, don't let this thing squish you, just wriggle out if it's too heavy."

He settled the end of the Kalash on her back and quickly finished screwing it together. "Only needed one pony anyway, but what's eating that colt?" He paused. "Okay, maybe I shouldn't get too judgmental. We've kind of been through a lot. I can very much understand wanting to snap right now. Still..." He looked at the other ponies. "I'm counting every pony I still have sane as a point in our favor. Be nice to be able to rely on some of these."

Dox had walked off to yhe oyher end of the cave, not wanting to be anywhere near Giant. Ponies had always teased him for the colors of his coat or that he had to wear an eyepatch, and he was completely tired of it. He leaned against the wall and sighed. He hated acting like that, but that idiot didn't have to call him such a degrading name...

She looked around, then turned back to Giant with a smile. "I don't blame you for calling him that, but its just a lesson to remember."

In a few, Moon walked up toward Paradox just on the other side of the cave. It took her a while to sit, but she got in a position next to him without it hurting.

It was then when she leaned over and gave a kiss on the cheek, and replied.

 

"I know you must feel bad that your past was brought up, but that shouldn't get in your way as of now."

In a few, Moon walked up toward Paradox just on the other side of the cave. It took her a while to sit, but she got in a position next to him without it hurting.

It was then when she leaned over and gave a kiss on the cheek, and replied.

 

"I know you must feel bad that your past was brought up, but that shouldn't get in your way as of now."

Dox's eyes nearly popped out of his head when he felt her give him a kiss on his cheek. His face turned a deep shade of red, and he looked away. "Yeah, but... Nopony knows what it's like to be me... It's horrible, nopony has ever even wanted anything to do with me..." He sighed.

Just in a few moments Moon had already let out a laugh. One that wasn't too loud, but was noticeable to Paradox.

"I think I have a good knowing of how you would feel.." She replied. "Heck ill admit this, but I was almost raped by one of the counselors at school when I went to tell him that others were calling me names."

Hearing raised voices and general machine clattering outside, Frostbite crawled out of the pod and sat on the roof, watching the other two ponies crawl out after her and join a huddle off in the distance somewhere. Looks like things are going to be fun from here on out she thought. "Hey uh, I hope nopony needed anything in this pod..." she asked, looking back into the hole seeing the mist start to rise from the top.

Just in a few moments Moon had already let out a laugh. One that wasn't too loud, but was noticeable to Paradox.

"I think I have a good knowing of how you would feel.." She replied. "Heck ill admit this, but I was almost raped by one of the counselors at school when I went to tell him that others were calling me names."

Completely suprised, Dox sat there with his mouth agape. "I, uh... Wow, that, uh... I... Did the jerk get fired and thrown in jail?" He couldn't believe that somepony would hve tried to do that to her, it was just so shocking. "What happened? Were you ok? Jeez, if I ever find out who it was, I'll..." He looked very upset.

"Surprisingly, both things you said had happened." She admitted. "The Principal had walked in his room that day just after the counselor had tied me up. And honestly if it weren't for him walking in, I probably would of been killed just to hide me from ever speaking anything to anypony."

 

There Moon Wave let out a sigh.

"I was really scared that day, considering that I had already learned what being a, 'virgin' meant, and I didn't want that to be taken away."

There Moon Wave let out a sigh.

Dox's face was completely red, but he hugged her. "Hey, it's ok. It's all in the past, and it never happened. You're ok now..." He gave her a little kiss on the forehed. "And I promise, nothing bad will happen to you as long as I'm here." Wait... Why am I making this promise... Screw it, I like her. He smiled at her.

Steel got out if his sleeping bag and stretched his wings. It was a beautiful . . . morning? Afternoon? Steel just shook his head and gave up. He reached back into his tent and pulled out a small case. He tossed it on the ground and out sprung a pony shaped dummy. It looked like the kind of mannequins one would find at clothes shops, but it was made entirely of wood and with a fake sword sticking out the side of it's mouth.

 

Steel drew his own blades.

 

"Ha ha! We meet again Baron Woodsworth." He threatened with a chuckle. "You shall leave half the pony you are already! Have at thee!" Steel lunged, slashed, and parried the swivel dummy's counters. He noticed a familiar pony out of the corner of his eye.

 

"Seargeant." He said with a nod of respect to Giant. "Let me know I you need anything." He then noticed Ocean and took a break from his sparring to speak with her. "My lady." He made his prescience none with a bow. "I deeply apologize for keeping you up so late. I had a wonderful time speaking with you, but that's no excuse for being so selfish."

For a first, she was quite happy that at least a few things were going well at this time. Her thoughts on the injuries were becoming less of a concern, as she continued to focus more on the ponies around her.

Once she was back up and on all hooves, she continued.

 

"Yes actually. I would want to get things going a bit faster so we could start a little early."

 

And following that, she thought to herself again.

 

I cant believe that, I actually told someone about that time in school...

(OOC: catch up time! Still, I'm on study leave as of today so hopefully the timing of my posts will now be in better sync with everyone else. Allay I'm writing this on my phone, hence the lack of formatting. *Edit* Eep, mangled post is mangled! Still, I'm on my laptop now so I'll be able to fix it. *whispers* nopony saw anything...).

 

As soon as her stomach had stopped doing backflips, Feather had taken out her notebook and, perching it on her hoof and bending rather awkwardly, began writing an account of everything that was happening; the evacuation, the arguments and especially the bizarre turn Miss Ocean had taken.

 

I'll need to ask her about it... later. Feather thought to herself. The last she had seen of the mare, a gentlecolt pegasus was with her. Feather was glad somepony was looking after Ocean; even Feather had sensed how distraught she was.

 

Feather was still in the pod, tucked away in the corner and trying to give Ocean's water-like appearance true poetic justice, completely oblivious to the fact that they had landed or that her duty as a crew member required her to help with the unloading when the pod suddenly got a lot colder.

 

"Hmm?" Feather blinked, looking up, and saw vapour all around her. Mini stalactites were beginning to form on the brim of her hat.

 

"Yikes!" Feather yelped. Her wings unfurled with a flourish and she rocketed out of the pod, brushing past a unicorn mare.

 

"Dinnae no dae that 'fore checking you're no' gonnae freeze somepony, eh?!" Feather roared, flustered. Immediately she bit her lip, embarrassed by the stereotypical Trottish outburst.

 

"That is, um... Sorry." She mumbled and looked down, sinking to the cave floor and trying to look as small as possible.

Dox looked around. He saw that Giant as almost finished with building his bot, and Feather was finally out of the pod. He then looked back over to Moon, and saw she looked a little troubled. "Hey, are you ok? Do you need something? Or wanna talk?" He looked a bit worried about it.

Ocean was still a little shaky but she was now almost one hundred percent better.

She slowly got back up to her hooves as Iron Hoof instructed the Crew members on the unloading of the trucks and supplies.

"What makes you think that?" Moon replied in a happy manner. "I'm just starting to feel good about this trip now~"

 

Indeed she was starting to feel better about this trip. Looking on the positive side, she saw some strange creatures out in the deep, survived a cause that could of taken her life, and now if she sees Atlantis, it would be something that she could tell anypony about and not get argued back at.

Although all these things were neat, she still worried about Iron Hoof and what he would do.

As giant finished loading his completed battle saddle, he saw Ocean Wind standing in front of the pod, in what looked like pony form. Looking like a normal pony once again went some ways to calming him down; he still had trouble thinking of her as water without some degree of panic. It was like she was the same thing as the crushing deep that had just claimed ponies' lives. Hoof it, she'd probably be right at home down there, swimming around with eyeless horrors. He could drown in her. The thought was revolting.

 

He approached step-by-step, the impact of his hooves on the sand slightly amplified by the new weight. he didn't make any effort to trot quietly. When he caught Miss Wind's eye, he snorted once. "You can speak now?"

Ocean nodded. "Yes I can." She said, using her magic to put on her saddle bag. She looked up at Giant when she had put it on and rolled her eyes. "Let me guess...you want to start questioning me ?" She said, climbing back up to the roof of the escape pod. She climbed in and came out moments later, followed by two large boxes being levitated behind her.

Giant didn't let her casual disregard ruffle him. "Like hay," he said carefully, "I'm going one step further with you until you provide me an adequate explanation for what just happened." He considered for a moment. "There's obviously a few things I wasn't told in my contract." This mare could be anything--she could be some creature from the deep, she could be some kind of changeling for all he knew. She could have brought them all down here to drown them for some bizarre purpose--she could even be Atlantean, the thought occurred to him.

Nah. That's just too unlikely. Still...a pony made of water is searching for the city lost underwater. There's a lot I haven't been told.

"So help me, if you lie to us again...buck it, just answer the one question. What on Celestia's green earth are you?"

Steel dropped a crate he was helping to haul out when he saw Giant talking to Ocean.

 

"Master Seageant! Ms. Ocean!" He greeted with a smile. "Happy to see you two getting acquainted."

Ocean ignored Steel...she was too surprised at Giant's words. She forced a big happy smile onto her face and threw her hooves into the air. "YOU READY GIANT. YOU READY TO FIND OUT WHAT I AM." She took a deep breath, still smiling. "I'M A PONY. SURPRIIIIISE." She yelled, putting her hooves back on the ground. She climbed off the top of the sub and glared at him. "You're just like the ponies in Trottingham. I was fifteen. A spell went wrong and it ruined my life forever. And I never lied to you. I just didn't tell you. I have every right not to tell you." She said, placing the boxes into the back of a nearby truck.

He smiled, then walked over to Feather. "Hey, Feather, you ok there? You look... Uh, scared, of something." He crouched down next to her. "Why are you huddling down on the ground?"

(OOC: Trottish=Scottish (as in Scotland being ponified to Trotland), figured I'd better clarify).

 

Feather blinked, and stood at the sound of Paradox's voice. Her face flushed red with embarrassment, but shemanaged a sheepish smile - she was glad the friendly stallion had made it out okay; his eye-patch looked better anyways.

 

"It's uh...nothing." Feather shook her head; she really, really didn't want to start any trouble; talking was hard enough, but any form of arguing outside an intelligent, well-mannered debate made her want crawl into a hole and never come out - until she found a decent comeback at least, which would probably be years. "I ah, kinda yelled at somepony is all..." 

 

Although now that I think about it she probably had nothing to do with it - the pod was most likely bust all on its own.
