Nightmare Moon: Is an Alicorn and Was able to Defeat Celestia in ten seconds after she returned. and she is able to turn into non-soild form, She is also able to make traps such as Shadow bolts and Ghost Trees, And was able to break the original elements of harmony

 

King Sombra: The strongest Unicorn up to date. Managed to survive fighting two alicorns at the same time and managed to keep a whole empire away for 1000 years, He has the ability to block pony magic and can Make Dark Crystals out of nowhere, And his traps managed to outsmart Twilight Sparkle.

 

Even though I might be biased But I think Sombra will win due to the fact that Nightmare Moon was tricked by pilot twilight while Sombra outsmarted season 3 Twilight without even trying.

Nightmare Moon drops the moon on him or hell even the sun since she's stronger than Celestia. Sorry but making cities vanish and crystalizing stuff really can't compare.

Nightmare Moon was able to defeat Celestia laughably quickly (although one might wonder how much of Celestia's heart was in the fight) whereas Sombra was held at bay by a lesser Alicorn for an incredibly long period of time. Also, I wouldn't say that Sombra directly outsmarted Twilight. He was able to set traps that she did not account for, but I don't view that as being the same thing. I'd put my money on Nightmare Moon.
