Nexus gave a weak salute to the ceiling.

"Yes sir." After Apollo left, he contemplated what he could have the others do to keep them in order. He then remembered he had a mare to talk to. But what room was she in? He thought for a moment, sitting up, and decided, since his door is open, to simply call her in when she passes by. He was happy to have a friend to talk to, and he would try to keep sad crap to a minimum. That was no way to impress anypony.

Dusty had seen Apollo looking into Evergreen's direction a lot too, though he thought Apollo was just being the stern, observational General persona again. "Well, it couild very well be that Apollo might be interested in Eve too." he said u little unsure. He hadn't observed enough of their situation to be able to certainly say, what would happen. 

 

"I hope this doesn't sooner or later escalate into a bad situation for them." he said with a contemplative look on his face. "I wouldn't want Nexus to be disappointed like this on his vacation."

 

Dusty looked around, and saw the other ponies seemed to appreciate the idea, to build an oven. "I am glad if i have made things for everyone easier here."

"Well, I don't want you to suffer concussions or anything," Night Song said concernedly. "Well, if you're sure you're alright, then want to get started on baking that pie?" She then looked over to what they have: sliced apples, a fire pit, and nothing more. ""Now, Rambler. Look over there. They improvised and made the fire pit into an oven," that stallion had said to Rambler. "But how the hay are we going to improvise dough?" she muttered to herself.

 

Rambler shrugged. "I don't know, let's just start cooking the apples and maybe we'll think of something as we go along. Or maybe someone else will think of something first and solve the problem for us. Frankly I'm really not in the mood to figure it out right now."

Crystal turned her attention to the oven, and the group around it.

"We can provide dough. We made more than enough for several more pies, so feel free to use it. If you need to make your own, you use wheat, flour, and water, and knead it until it becomes dough." She explained to the group. They already had two of these things done, so if they could help the others, they could finish sooner and bring in more private time for the unicorn and her coltfriend.

Dusty nodded in agreement to Crystal's explanation. "The dough itself is really just a little bit of handicraft, the rest, now with the oven, should be a breeze." he added.

 

"Only a few more apple pies, and dinner should be ready for everypony." he said to the group, who gathered near the oven, with a smile on his face.

 

He then whispered into Crystal's ear, a light blush stroking across his cheek.  "And then we finally have time for ourselves, my angel"

Crystal blushed as he whispered into her ear. Despite all that has happened, she was quite excited for some alone time with her love. She found her thought wandering to Nexus, however, and feeling bad that he didn't have a special somepony. This was an incredible experience, and she was upset that he can't enjoy it too. She shrugged the thought off to focus on the task at hand, and to not worry Dusty.

"Let's finish this up, then we can head to the barracks."

Apollo looked out his window at the group. He was pleased with what he saw in regards to the pie making.

good, they are starting to acting like a team now. He thought as he gathered all the papers in a neat pile. Apollo then sent the papers out in a yellow flame. 

I'm not sure but I think Rockshire dislikes me and my Guard background. Mares are hard to read. He continued to think and look out the window. As he did, a yellow flame appeared bringing forth a box with a note attached to it. Apollo glanced at the note that had the initials B.T.W. Apollo quickly threw the note out and scanned through the window for Nexus and Evergreen.

Eh, I'll give him a couple more minutes.

Eve entered the barracks hall sometime later, after having dropped the apples off in the kitchens. She poked her head in different rooms, looking about, until... "Oh, Nexus, there you are." Eve trotted into the room, which was quiet enough to make her soft voice resound richly. "You alright?"

Nexus shrugged, looking up to see Evergreen enter.

"Been better, but it's nice to see a friendly face." He answered plainly.

"Just dealing with...stuff. Sorry I'm not more pleasant company, Its just...well some of things said here really hit home." He said, staring at the floor. He forced some pep as he looked up at the mare, trying to force back contentment, since cheerfulness was near impossible.

"But that isn't your problem. Just wanted to get to know you better." He said, even managing a grin. At least the bat pony was trying to get out of his funk. Even if the results were limited. But then again, they were always limited.

Dusty had been excited to spend some quality time with his one and only as well. In fact, this Day had been the best day of his life so far. He would never even have dreamed of not only meeting his true love on this farmstead, but also both falling in love with each other. "This Vacation is a true blessing"

 

He smiled gently and nodded. "Let's see...some apple pies are finished. It looks like they'll get started on theirs soon..."

"He is probably cranky about the whole fight he and Nexus got into." She said in a joking voice. He seemed like a cranky kind of pony, but he had yet to do anything to her, so she let it be. She leaned into Dusty and whispered softly.

"You know, I think they can take it from here. We finished already. Why don't we head back to the barracks for some quality time alone?" As she spoke, she wrapped her tail around his. She was really excited for some time with her lover, enough to head back early, it would seem. Love makes ponies act strangely, apparently.

Then Dusty felt Crystal, who now leaned onto him and whispered into his ear. He instantly blushed. She wrapped her beautiful tail around his. Her tail felt warm and softand Dusty couldn't help but wrap his tail around hers gently as well.

 

More excited than ever, he then whispered back "I would love to, my angel. They can handle this on their own. Let's head to the barracks, where we will be undisturbed."

 

Dusty already enjoyed every second, he got to spend with Crystal, even if they were out here and not alone. But now they both would share their own special time with each other. It couldn't possibly get any better than this.

When the earth pony agreed, a thought immediately jumped into her head. But she nodded instead. She began to walk back to the barracks, Dusty in tow. She decided to walk at a mild pace, so not to look desperate. When they finally made it to the barracks, she calmly lead her coltfriend into her room, quietly locked the door, and then proceeded to kiss him deeply, both forelegs wrapped around him.

Dusty had followed his love, their tails still intertwined. They walked slowly and gently. Dusty's mind now was just spinning about thoughts of Crystal.

 

When they reached the door to her room, Crystal gently guided him in and then locked the door. Dusty was blushing heavily and watched his love deeply into her eyes. His mind went blank of joy, went she then proceeded to kiss him, very deeply and passionate.

 

The only reaction, he could now manage to do was to respond to her kindness and gentleness. He kissed her back and hugged her firmly, but also gently. "I love you...you are my life. You gave my all my traveling a meaning." he said and looked into her eyes softly. He stroke through her mane and kissed her again.

She kissed back passionately, lost in the moment. This was, for Crystal, the greatest experience of her life. She broke it after what seemed like an eternity.

"I love you too, Dusty. You are the kindest colts I have ever met. And you made friends with me, without any outside intervention. I love you so much." She brought them to sit on the bed before continuing with their make out session, Crystal trying to bring them closer than was physically possible.

It was a feeling of pure bliss and joy for Dusty, he had felt this for the first time in his life. He enjoyed every moment and every touch, they both had to share.

 

Now on the bed, Dusty gently laid her down onto the sheet, and proceeded to kiss her, holding her very close. "And you are the most beautiful, most precious and wonderful mare i know and I am unmeasurably happy to have met you. You make me complete." he whispered into her ear.

 

He then proceeded to kiss her onto her neck, nuzzling her.

"JUST BUCK ALREADY!! " So she just decided to let nature take over and see what happens.

The next 20 minutes, that Dusty had spend with Crystal, almost felt to him like a dream. It was...pure grace, enjoyment and a feeling so indescribably amazing, he wouldn't have believed this just happened, if the physical sensations he felt weren't so intense.

 

He laid next to Crystal, breathing and blushing heavily. "This...this was amazing! You are so wonderful. I could spend an eternity being with you like this." The love and joy he felt right now could have illuminated even the darkest of nights.

 

They had just had their best time of their lifes. She had blessed him with her virginity, and vice versa.

 

He looked her deeply into her eyes, his eyes had started to wet with tears of joy. "Thanks for being there, my beautiful angel."

Dusty had sung this song with all his heart, because it fit so perfectly to their relationship. He wanted to be and stay with her with the rest of his days. He would settle anywhere she would like to and be there for her when she would need him.
