How much does Celestia know about humans?

Alright, so I have looked around and not seen anything else like this but please tell me if a conversation is already going somewhere.

 

I noticed while watching the Equestria girls trailer that Celestia says something along the lines of "You'll soon know more about this world than even I do".... does that not make anyone else flip their lid?! At the moment, I'm still trying to think it through and process it. In reality it probably means very little, but in my head I want to know how Celestia knows about humans. If she knows about them she has to have had some sort of interaction with them right? Is a trip to human land a requirement for young alicorns? Has Celestia interacted with humans on a regular basis? When did she learn about them and HOW if she and Luna were the first alicorns?! Ehhh my head hurts. I think I'm freaking out a little   no more coffee for me. What do you guys think?

idk, I suppose she may have been there before, but i don't know if i'd think she would spend time there on a daily basis. She has many royal duties to attend to in her world.

 

I do imagine she knows a good bit about the world and humans though I think.

I imagin she has some knowledge of what's on the other side of the mirror.

If not then would she be sending Twilight on a dangerous mission to who knows where?

(she has sent her on dangerous missions, but to an unknown world alone?)

this is what i believe: the world ended in a XK class end of the world scenerio, nukes, containment breeches, the whole shebang now, for 1500 years the human race struggled to survive, but survive it did, dispite dwindleing rescources.

after 1500 years, luna and celestia surfaces and use their magic to essentialy revive the world and create equestria, they then offer the remaining humans the become ponies,and voila, you got your first ponies of equestria X3 but theirs a catch, 682.

It might be a backhanded reference to MLP Gen 1, where humans showed up in the pony world? They might hide a reference to Megan, Danny, or Molly in there somewhere.

I don't see why it matters. Hate to sound all negative. But if it's not canon then why does it matter? They could have put their time and efforts into a movie that pushed the canon forward. Also giving us a movie that's about 1hr 45m instead of 1hr 12m

She's been alive for over a thousand years, and she has a portal so she should've been there at some point. I honestly can't believe that she's totally ignorant of our side of the Earth. What is with these writers and making Celestia look like some incompetent monarch every 10 minutes? She should be the very definition of wisdom.

Celestia is like Optimus Prime except lacks the wisdom times 10.

 

Also I was watching a REAL cartoon movie last night. it was the Spongebob Movie. I mean that movie had everything right

 

Used an established villain

was kinda dark 

was funny

animation was top quality, keep in mind this wasn't adobe flash

met the run time 

didn't alienate it's target demographic, like EG is doing

Well, she rules a kingdom all by herself, and her Sister, who was gone for 1000 years, i don't think she had much time to visit other dimensions and such.

Well based on what I saw on the trailer, Celestia doesn't seem to know much about humans at all. Plus, many of the real world character are mere humanized ponies... Maybe that was Celestia sending them into the real world too?

I'm just gonna asume that no one has been brave enough to see what's on the other side of the mirror, so this is a learning experience for everyone.

 

Also, I've been thinking about Sunset Shimmer and how she fits into all this.

 

Now, apparently Twilight is the only one who jumps to the other side of the mirror, but she meets a bunch of humans who are exactly like her friends back home, making me believe that this is simply an alternate reality where everyone is a human. That would mean that there's a pony version of Sunset somewhere with the title "Celestia's former apprentice", and considering that her human counterpart is the bad guy, that may turn ugly.

 

Or maybe she stole Twilight's crown herself and jumped through the mirror.

 

Either way, I'm pretty sure there's a shot of Sunset surrounded by magical energy at some point in the trailer. This could be badass after all...

I'm very anxious to see Sunset Shimmer and how she ties into all of this.It is about the only thing I'm actually excited in this movie. I loved everything you just said!
