Corona smiled as she watched the two make up and saw Regal get embarrassed. "Oh yeah...Snow I found your bag at the park and wanted to return it to you. I also wanted to invite you and Regal to my house tonight for a grill out and to meet somepony very special to me and my family. The only catch is that I can't tell you who it is, that's what makes this fun." Corona handed over Snows bag waiting for a reply.

Sterling's parents walked Sterling down the street as per orders from Sterling's father. Front Page didn't want to lose the trust of Corona's father who was so kind to see that the best behaviour of Sterling could be shown. As Sterling and his father arrived, Front Page waved Sterling a brisk good-bye before walking home. "I expect you to be home with me at 10:00 pm sharp son. I wouldn't think a cookout would last that long. Besides, you have school tomorrow." said Front Page as he slowly walked away to work on his first newspaper headlines...

 

Sterling knocked on the door, hoping that Corona's parents at the very least were home. Besides, he could solidify his relationship with them if he was indeed early. He now waited for somepony to open the door...

"Heh, it's ok! I'd like to at least show you the Hope Diamond before we go though," Star Rain said as she lead him through the gem exhibits to a room. Right there in a glass case and resting on a necklace display thingy was the Hope Diamond, the necklace said to bring bad luck to those who wear or own it. The cord was studded with clear jewels, same for the border of the pendant. What those clear jewels were bordering though was a big diamond, blue to the naked eye.

 

Star looked at Flare shyly. "Well, what do you think?"

"Yes as a matter of fact," Ginseng said before glancing at his watch. "Well I have some errands to do, so see ya," he said, waving and walking away.

"Its...beautiful...I never seen anything like it" Flare said looking at the beauty of the necklace in the display case. "Oh I almost forgot we were invited by Corona for a...party I believe" Flare said as he just remembered about that.

Cloud Dancer answered the door first and was delighted to see Sterling standing at the door shuffling his hooves a bit. Cloud let out a light chuckle at the sight. "Well hello Sterling, if you're here to see Corona she's not home yet but she should be soon. You're more than welcome to stay." Cloud motioned Sterling in and let him sit on the sofa. Cloud then went back to getting the stove ready and started cutting up some of the lettuce that Corona had brought home earlier. Sky streaker walked in and sat down on the chair across from the sofa. "Hello again Sterling it's nice to see you again. I take it you'll be staying for the grill out with our guest today?"

As Sterling entered Corona's house to be greeted by her parents, he felt welcome, especially considering how they nearly shooed him away the first time he came to their house. Sterling replied to Sky Streaker's question with a quiet, but polite "yes" before adding, "Umm... I notice that you're preparing dinner for this guest you mention. Umm... can I help in any way?"

Star Rain was a bit mesmerized by it as well, but she jolted out of it at the sound of Flare. "Oh yeah, that's right!" she exclaimed as she glanced at somepony's watch. "Yeah, we should probably get going now," Star said as she walked out of the room and leading Flare out.

Whimsey Daze looked at her invitation that was brought to her by a strange mare from the other day. She quite literally bumped into her, and was a little wary wether It'd be worth attending. 

 

"Perhaps I'd finally meet some friends?" she pondered out loud sadly. She put her invitation in her saddlebags, and headed towards the location of the party. She'd debating for a long time, and now she finally stepped out the door.

Saronyx nods and waves to Ginseng, "Have a good day. It was nice meeting you."

 

"That was an interesting situation... I don't really have anything going on now the story's finished... I think I will go to the cookout thing. I'm attending this place's high school tomorrow anyway, might as well get a head start on meeting people."

 

He spread his wings and took to the air, glancing at the invitation again, reading over the address and when it was to begin, "I have a little time it seems. I think I might just nap until then. I would go early, but I really don't know anyone, and I think my coming up to the door saying, 'Hi, you don't know me, nor does anyone else here, really. I helped your daughter defend some friends from bullies, so she invited me.' .. That last bit doesn't sound half bad, but all the same."

Cloud Chaser smiled when Sterling offered his help. "Well Sterling Corona should be home any minute now so if you want you can help me get the food set so she can start cooking when she gets back." Corona was on her way back home hoping to see everypony that she'd invited. Corona arrived home and entered the house seeing Sterling in the kitchen helping her mother. Corona's heart jumped she saw Sterling in her house again. Corona flew into the kitchen and hovered just above Sterling. "Hey Sterling, what are you doing here so early?"

Corona flew in just as Sterling was about to help prepare the food for Corona to cook. He jumped slightly at Corona's voice and blushed a light red right afterwards. He replied with a stutter, "Well... I... I was all ready to go, so... I decided to come early... And... I'm going to be uhh... helping you prepare the food! Yeah!" Sterling, in hopes of changing the topic, then asked, "So... who... is this special guest coming tonight?"

Having that sarcastic streak in her, Star Rain rolled her eyes and levitated the invitation in front of Flare. "Oh no, she didn't even write it down for us!" she said sarcastically as she pointed to the place where it said "where". It had Corona's home address written there.

Flare did a mental facehoof. "Lets just get going" Flare said as he hid his irritated look on his face. "I dont like ponies that are sarcastic...it just annoys me" Flare thought as he put a smile on his face. "Oh yeah I forgot about that...sorry" Flare said rubbing the back of his head.

Snowdream started to get ready to go to Coronas house. She went to her room and looked through her dresses, trying to find something to wear that might cover some of her bruises up. She settled on a pale blue dress that was embellished with snowflakes. She walked into her bathroom, and started to style her mane. She transformed it from its usual messy bouncyness, to corkscrew curls that looked like she had spent all day on them. She examined herself in the mirror, frowning at the ugly purple bruises on her. There was a particularly bad bruise on her face that stood, but there was nothing she could do about it.

 

Snowdream left her house, locking it behind her and knocked on Coronas front door and waited.

Regal had some pretty nice bruises on his face, but using his magic he was able to color them to the point where they faded into his skin color. Smiling to himself for hiding his bruises from sight, he began looking through his box of clothing. 

While most of the suits he had were plain and simple it wasn't what Regal wanted to wear. Grabbing two suits he started tearing them apart and sewing them back up. Pleased with how the suits came out he colored it a jet black so that the gleam would fit his Royal purple tone and added a touch of red to the collar to complement his Red mane.

"Ah, looks like I'm ready for the Gala" he said looking at himself in the mirror. Leaving his house he walked to Corona's house.

Star Rain could sense the irritation coming from Flare. It's just like her to be more sensory than intuitive when it came to feelings. As they walked out of the museum, she resisted the urge to ask what was wrong.

 

"So, do you want to stop by home, or do you want to go straight to Corona's house?"

Corona's mother heard the door knock as she walked past Sterling to get the door. Cloud Dancer chuckled as she saw Sterling helping Corona with the food. "Oh hello there dear you must be one of Corona's friends please come in." Cloud let Snow in the house, passing Corona's father as he walked out and placed balloons on their mailbox. Ones that were eye level and some that flew high into the sky for any ponies flying here to see or anypony from the ground could see. "I can't tell you Sterling that's my secret. Besides where would the fun be if I told you guys." Corona chuckled sticking her tongue out in a playful manner. Corona turned and saw Snowdream standing in the house and got all giddy. "Hey Snow make yourself at home we'll be starting the cookout soon." Star walked out to the backyard and turned on the grill letting it warm up.

Clouds. The lovely white fluffy blobs of vapor in the sky that were perfect for napping. Saronyx had been sleeping on a cloud, originally just nearby Corona's home, but it drifted, eventually hovering directly above. It wasn't until Corona's father placed the balloons on the mailbox did he awake, one of the balloons bouncing against his head.

 

The navy Pegasus shook his head to clear the sleep from it, and looked down. It seemed the thing was starting soon, and he was there already, so why not show up?

 

He hit the cloud, breaking it and going into a small free fall. He twisted midair and leveled out, coming to a gliding stop on the sidewalk. He trotted back to the door. And knocked, before stepping back to politely wait.

Sterling replied with a giggle to Corona as he continued to help prepare the food. Sterling replied playfully and with a smile, "C'mon Cowona... you can tell me; I won't tell a soul... how special is this guest? Hehehe." He then noticed Snowdream entering the house as another guest for the cookout they were going to have together. He gave her a light smile before greeting her with a light "hello" as he continued to prepare for the cookout.

Snowdream didn't really know what to do so she just kinda stood there awakwardly, wondering who the soecial guest was going to be, and if she looked okay, if her bruises weren't to noticeable.

He wanted to be friendly to her too, especially after what he saw earlier at the park. He walked up to Snowdream and asked in a polite and friendly, way, "Hey Snowdream. Would... you like to help us get the meal ready for Corona's special guest?"

Star Rain smiled and gave a light laugh before nodding. "Sure thing, Flare!" she said as she lead him out of the museum. She then looked back and forth and turned to Flare. "You know the way to your house from here?" she asked. Star then added,"I don't have to stop by home, so you don't have to worry 'bout me."
