The Luna drawing is good because the anatomy and coloring are good, but the way the ground looks kind of throws me off. The OC drawing is good because it shows you can manipulate different elements in a limited space, but bad because the anatomy is off. Anadu Kune 668 May 26, 2013 Share May 26, 2013 (edited) That Luna piece is pretty darn good. It combines gradients with sharp defining edges well. Great use of colors. I love the work on her face and the sky in particular. Great use of what looks to be colored pencil or some similar physical media. I love the highlight you put on her tail to separate it from the background. I would suggest doing so more on her mane as well. Its color matches the sky color at places. Same for the lower part of her necklace. Really style might be the wrong word to use here as what I see is improvement. The older picture seems to have some more structural problems to it. The anatomy seems off in parts. Her torso seems too small or her head too large. Her feet seem very small and so do her hands. Her fingers begin a bit too close to wrist. It seem strange to me that the pony is off more of a show style which really seems to conflict with the image. Same seems to apply to the other digital elements. All this implies too me is that you have improved greatly as any artist does over time. You did say that this image was older though I cant say how older. I think it would be interesting to see you do the OC image with your current skill so its easier to compare. It's simple without being complex and that's why it's so appealing to me. I have no opinion on the second one. Don't get me wrong, it's good and better than I could ever draw. PoniBroni 46 May 27, 2013 Share May 27, 2013 Overall I think it is really good! ^^; Still, if you are looking for constructive criticsm: The thing that I think maybe could be just a little better is making Luna's coloring/outline/silhouette more defined so that she pops out from the background. I guess this is only personal taste. After all, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
