Introducing Golden Reinette Apple

Yes, there is a kind of apple named Reinette, I looked it up.  My own character based upon the Apple family/clan from My Little Pony:  Friendship is Magic. She is a bounty hunter along with her partner Quickshot (not pictured) and her trusty deputy dog, Strider, a husky whom I recently added, after playing Dead to Rights a bit too much.  She currently resides in Appleloosa, thought would be a proper setting for her story.  Also, I play a lot of Sunset Riders.

 

 

The only reference to Quickshot I got is done in that Pony creator, but not sure if I will get in trouble to even link it to the image itself.

 

Since I am already uploading stuff, here is my own character I had before FiM was ever concieved.  Her name is Cherry Vanilla, and yeah, kinda has the same colors as Applebloom which surprised me when I first saw her in the first episode.  Nevertheless I added the bow ponies usually have on their tails up on the back of her head as Bloom does.  

 

 

 

Currently working on a trade with an artist named Kaeh Mortem (sp), linking this one since its an initial sketch of what I am about to finish soon.

Very nice work there, I am not dissapointed!

I really like the coloring on Golden Reinette, the art of drawing, the hat and hat make it look really cool and fit very well to the backstory.

(I don´t have too much experience with OCs backstories, but that seems pretty good, is she meant to be related to the Apple family in any way, far cousin, something of that kind?)

 

And you wouldn´t get into trouble linking to pony creator images, if you look around, there are even many people here who have those images as avatars ;D.

 

And yea, Cherry Vanilla looks a lot like Applebloom xD. Looks pretty nice as well!

Nice work, it does look a lot like AppleBloom! Just curious, you said that you created Cherry Vanilla before Friendship is Magic, but why does the date for your art say 2013? FiM was released in like 2011

I drew this and finished it this year, two days ago actually.  I had sketches of her and written references but never really tried to show her up to recently.  MLP was not as big back then as it is today you see.

 

About  Reinnette, I wanted her to be a distant second cousin to the Apple family.  I also have added somewhat creepy factor about her being the 5th Generation Reinnette since all her ancestors happen to be also female, had the same name, and mark, but not the same profession as her nowadays.  I also have decided that she goes mostly by Renata than the apple's name, still have to add why that is.

 

About the generation thing, it was inspired by what is canon of Link, Nintendo stating is the same reincarnation with the same name all that.
