movies/tv The 5 Greatest Unscripted Disasters in Pro Wrestling

An article at cracked.com I wish to share for all wrestling fans.

It also includes WWE, and wrestlers that were in it, so I hope you still like it to read about it, such as when JBL beat up Blue Meanie for real in an event, I cannot show the vid here though because I know it will make many upset and uncomfortable about that mess, but it was unscripted nonetheless, but with your permission I will show the one time when Jeff Hardy at TNA showed up completely bombed and ruined an event against Sting:

"The match hit bottom before the introductions were even finished and just started digging down from there. Hardy's music hit and then played to an empty stage for 47 seconds. On paper, that doesn't sound like that long, but seriously, stop what you're doing and time out 47 seconds. It's an eternity -- especially on TV, where even five seconds of silence can bring a crowd to an uneasy confusion. Now watch as that amount of hanging awkwardness gets centered on clouds of dry ice, neon lights, and lasers ... and no Hardy.

After introducing Sting, a new song started up and general manager Eric Bischoff came out, giving the "time out" hand signal. He proceeded to the ring and shook Jeff Hardy's hand, leaning in to wish him luck. Or at least that's what he was pretending to do. In reality, he was relaying new instructions for the match, which were something along the lines of "Lay your stupid (explicit) butt down and end this quick. You're in no condition to be out here, you (explicit) drug addict." Something like that -- we can only speculate. He then walked over to Sting and passed the info to him as well, again, under the guise of "I'm just here to wish you luck."

This makes me wonder if that was what led Jeff to "quit" WWE when he last confronted CM Punk.  I can only speculate.

When WWE was still WWF, I remember a wrestler named Owen hart. He went under the guise of a superhero and was very kid friendly. He tried doing a zip line stunt into the ring, but something snapped, and he fell to his death. Very very sad moment I must say, especially since that was televised :(

In this world, is the destiny of mankind controlled by some transcendental entity or law? Is it like the hand of God, hovering above? At least it is true, that man has no control... Even over his own will.

I'm surprised Undertaker vs. Mankind Hell in the Cell isn't mentioned in this list.

The first fall from the top onto the table was scripted.  The second fall through the top wasn't.

Pretty much, Mick also talked about that moment when he confronted 'Taker in that great match in his wrestling career in this clip:

You can't have a wrestling disaster thread without this guy.

It's like required reading.  A train wreck that you just can't turn away from.  And to this day, wrestling seems to be going out of its way to prevent the public from knowing that he existed.
