Crystal Dusk was chilling in her alleyway with the others that hadn't gone to fight the guards. (I am assuming you are in a different alleyway)  She had already taken the oath that Krein had done and did not want to get involved in the fighting as she was pretty sure Curse and Achreon could handle a few guards.

Suddenly Achreon teleported back to the group.

@Krein

"I assume things went well?"

@,@,

(The more I think about Harmonic, the more he reminds me of some anime villain...i'm just waiting for him to stamp on the floor and cause an earthquake or something)

The assassin from the palace earlier materialized in front of Harmonic and fired off a pair of shockwaves, before vanishing again. Harmonic didn't flinch as the waves fired either side of him, causing his mane, tail and cape to fly up in the air for a moment before falling messily again. The guards behind him showed yet more incredible dexterity, and jumped to the side, avoiding the shockwave entirely before falling back into formation again. Harmonic snarled and looked back down the alley, before he teleported the trio into the palace with his own magic.

In the palace, he went to what was used as a medical room to take a look at the two mares. They both gleamed at him with an almost psychotic grin, not saying a word. "Why didn't you just kill him? Look at what he did to you..." He asked as he approached them both on their medical tables. They both simply tilted their heads, one to the left and one to the right, still grinning at him. They then both turned and looked at their sides, and then over at their armour which was on a stand by the door. The words "Hello Cadenza" had been clawed into them, and deeply. Looking back at their armour, Harmonic saw that there had been a chunk cut out of their uniform - a perfect size to display their injuries. They simply turned back at him and smiled some more.

Sanguine nods to Harmonic as he starts to walk away, "I'll go notify my team. I'm sure they'll be delighted to have a bit of sport again."

He turns and begins to walk off, "I'll catch up with you later."

~*~

Sanguine trotted through the streets for a few minutes. If it wasn't for his armor, or the fact that he was armed, the ponies of the Empire probably would just assume he was one of them, despite being better fed. He chuckled as some of the ponies who were larger than him quickly stepped to the side to allow him to pass. Sanguine nodded to a few ponies who were sitting in a darkened corner, other members of his Network, and he trotted over to them, sitting at their table, "Brothers, sisters, I have some fantastic news," He evidently grinned, despite it being covered by the mask, his eyes showed the glee he was feeling, "We're going to start a war."

One of the mares leaned forward, chuckling excitedly, "'Bout time we did something. So what's the plan?"

Sanguine shrugs, "So far all I know is that we're going to destroy the town of Appleloosa. Harmonic has sent a couple of spies to the town to gather Intel. When they return, he will summon me and the other generals to discuss the plan of action, and in turn, I'll let all of you know," He stood up, turning around and walking away, "Let the others know, won't you?"

After being told by his subordinates that it would be done, he trotted away.

Acheron shook his head at Crystal Dusk's question. Things had not gone as he wanted them too, and he was angry at having been deprived of his kills. Nonetheless, he felt that perhaps he could benefit from what had happened in some way... he knew the moves of the guards now, as well as the equipment they wore and weapons they used.

"Not as I wanted them to, no," Acheron said at last. He looked around the new location they were in, making Acheron feel strangely at home. It was because of the dark energy harbored here, that Acheron quickly was able to realize where they were. An abandoned mine of dark crystals...

"We have our operating quarters out of the way at least," Acheron said.

(I'm gonna need help coming up for details for this place...)

"Let me guess. You can feel the dark energy too?" he looked around the chamber. There was the glink of dark crystal ore in the walls. Scattered aroung the chamber was debris from what had once been a successful and prosperous mine. "It looks pretty delapidated. Still, how can we be sure that it's abondoned?"

"Can't you? Given the amount of it here, I'm able to tap into it and feed, giving me all sorts of information on the area. This place actually hasn't been entered since the Sisters first defeated Sombra... also judging by the darkness, we are a pretty long ways off from the main city of the Crystal Empire..."

Acheron felt the room might be too dim for the other ponies and so went over to a large, dark crystal stalagmite. He typically didn't use dark crystal magic, considering inferior to his own dark magics. For this instance though, he decided it was appropriate to do so. A small green orb appeared on the top of his horn and released a stream of tendrils towards the crystal, piercing it ethereally. Acheron fed on the energy of the mine, gaining knowledge of what had happened here during Sombra's reign, as well as a few other details he might have missed. The dark crystal brightened, in turn brightening the other crystals of the mine.

"Hey, I may be able to sense dark energy, but I'm not able to read from it like you. I'm an assassin. You're some kind of 'jack of all trades', by the look of it. But being versatile doesn't mean you can treat me lesser." He sighed.

Where did this sense of justice come from? You're an assassin. Oh great, and now I'm imaginarily talking to myself.

Curse wondered about this. It had never occured to him before.

"You see me as some sort of child."

"Not at all. I've spoke to you only a few times, so is that the impression I've given you?"

The crystals lit up the room, creating magical wards all around them to improve the living conditions, temperature, and other things for comfortability. The air became less heavy and musky, allowing for easier breathing.

"Well, I'd better get to training. It's a big army we're up against."

Crystal Dusk looked around the large chamber which Acheron had just lit up. Her stuff had been teleported with them which was nice. The place looked like it was an abandoned mineshaft. A dark ore lined the walls and jutted out from the ceiling. There was a mine cart and a few pickaxes in the corner.

This place must have been abandoned for hundreds of years

"Hmph, it could be me or you just have an inferiority complex," Acheron said as he looked at the reenergized crystals. "Scared or something? Relax, I've simply given these crystals the dark power they needed to rebuild themselves. Enough of this, it is never safe to have this manner of arguments so early in an alliance like this. Put it behind you, we can discuss it privately some other time."

Acheron wondered how to begin training the ponies. Certainly they could show off a lot more than they had before...

"Now this time, I want all of you to show me what your are capable of. We have no one around but us, meaning we can exercise our abilities without worry of notice."

Crimson looked around the room with distaste, "damn......I miss the ocean, do you think we could at least get a skylight? My powers may be fueled by my will, but the intensity of my flames comes from solar power......but whatever, I guess I could show you a trick or two..." said crimson mischeviously, before igniting one of his front hoovs and punching a large crystal, breaking it in half, he then extended his other hoof and formed a whip made of fire before swinging it and wrapping it around a large sharp tipped crystal, before pulling it free and swinging it at anoather crystal, shattering them both, crimson then engulfe his entire body in flames and began to extpanding his flames as wide and high as he could, before exahling massive flaming chineses dragon, witch blasted a huge tullel for an unkown distance. Crimson stood there looking at the group with a cocky grinn, panting, "top......that..." said crimson before collapsing to the floor.

"INFERIORITY COMPLEX!? Oh crap, never mind. But I'm not scared of a few magical constructs."

Curse stalked off.

~~~
Curse focused his magic. He had to get this right. His horn glowed a dark purple. His hooves started to glow also. He went into position.
Suddenly, with a shot, he was off at lightning pace. He raced through the tunnel, dust flying everywhere. He built up speed, cloaking himself with shadows.
BAM!
He smashed into the rock at full speed, breaking it in two.
I never knew I could do that.
"Well I'm not Celestia..."
Acheron looked at one of the crystals above them. One stalacite seemed large and powerful enough to handle what Acheron was about to suggest.
"Still have some power within you? Use your flames to hit the crystal up there," Acheron told Crimson while pointing to the one he had picked out.
Harmonic somewhat grimaced at the injuries of his two guards, and their eagerness to show them off...
He turned around and walked out of the room, into the main hall and stood at the front doors for a moment. Taking a deep breath, he pushed them open, ordering the guards to close them behind him as he stood just outside the palace. "Where are those two...for their sake they better be on their way back or we're going to have to attack without them."
"Come with me," Swordpoint ordered. He made an about face and headed toward the Canterlot Sculpture Gardens. "I have called the three of you to train with me today because I see a great potential in all of you." He glanced at Fiera specifically when he said this. "Each of you brings forth something different, and I would like to see you hone your skills."
When he'd reached the gardens, he turned around. "This," he announced, holding out his hooves, "is our training ground. I'm afraid your days of routine drills have ended. When you train with me, you will not simply exercise. You will be tested, and I have high standards for all of you." He again glanced at Fiera. "Recruit Fiera. Dawn Wing will be keeping tabs on our progress. I assure you that if you do not push yourself to the utmost limits, your military career will come to an abrupt end."
"An election?", Acheron asked looking towards Crystal Dust. He really wasn't much for elections, preferring a more decisive action instead of arguing what course of actions to take. However, he nodded nonetheless, and used his magic to sense something in the ground. There were still Crystals Buried underneath, and their power was dim. Acheron put his horn to the ground and released dark energy to power them up, causing them to reawaken and rise up. Acheron manipulated their growth as best as he could, making them form a type of circular table with seats of dark crystals for the others to sit at.
"Very well, let's get to things then..."
Acheron went to sit at one of the larger seats and waited for the others to arrive.
Crimsons eyes narrowed as he got up from the floor, his entire demonstration ignored, "you guys are no fun.....but whatever, where do I vote?" Asked crimson before igniting the large crystal that acheron had suggested, filling it with solar energy, crimson basked in the warmth for a moment before leaning against a large crystal.
@@Ano170,@@00Pony,
Harmonic called over a passing patrol as he made his way through the streets for the second time that day "Find Arrow and Sanguine. Tell them to be ready, we leave at first light" He ordered the patrol, who soon headed off down the street looking for their assigned generals. It was only a short walk later that Harmonic found himself back in the presence of the two mares in his own guard, both bearing their grizzly scars with an unnerving pride. "You two, summon the rest of the guard and..." he was about to order them to summon his soldiers to his attention, when he remembered something about the two, as they gave him a discerning frown - again in a creepy unison. "Never mind, just get yourselves into the training grounds, if you see the others, show them this note." He began to scribble something on a sheet of paper he pulled out from under his cloak.
 Crystal Onyx.
Loss have made it clear we are not good.
The training ground waits.
He may have been well spoken and an undeniably intelligent stallion, but he never learned to write, and as such only ever came across as 'simple' on paper. Luckily enough however, it was only his personal guards who ever saw his writing abilities, as they had plenty of other writers in the empire for the important things.
After making his way back into the palace and into the throne room, he approached Princess Cadence to tell her of the news.
"Ma'am, we march on Appleloosa at first light, the order is given and my generals should be preparing as we spe-"
"Was there something important you needed to tell me, or where you just here to make idle chat?" Cadence interrupted before he could finish.
"Appleloosa will be ours by tomorrow night, ma'am."
"Tomorrow night? That's a little later than I hoped, but I suppose it will have to do."
"One more thing ma'am, I have noticed there are...malcontents among us."
"I am aware of our situation, Harmony. But are you aware of my plans for this Empire? Why we need Appleloosa to fall and why we need Celestia to submit to us?"
"I am not, ma'am. You have always kept me in the dark until such a time as I needed to know about som-"
"Good! And that's the way it will stay, don't you have a town to destroy?"
"Destroy? I thought we where supposed to be-"
"Change of plans, I don't need it anymore, but I also don't like it being there. Not to mention Celestia needs it, so...destroy it."
Harmonic bowed his head, before leaving the room and making his way up and out onto the balcony, awaiting the return of his summoned generals.
Fiera glared at Swordpoint, and then at the one who spoke. 'I'm better than a lot of the stallions here and they decide to threaten to kick me out because i'm a mare. I wish Shining Armor was still here. If he was the personal trainer, he would train me at my own pace'"Trust me, that isn't the thing that will bring my military career to an end..." she mumbled.
Sanura trained for a while in her garden, before checking the clock mounted on her kitchen wall. Almost time to head to the Sculpture Gardens for the meeting with Swordpoint. Still, it probably wouldn't matter if she was early, and she liked walking in the gardens in any case. Sanura washed, then started to head to the meeting place.
