Coughing and blinking, Zecora finally emerged from her shack, following a short way after the group before tapping the 'unicorn' on the back.

 

"If your group is finished with hostility and smoke, I may help you with your poison joke." The Zebra said, less of a tune carrying in her voice than previously. "There is a potion I have, a special brew. If you like I can give it to you. It will shorten your joked state, but it's effects shall fluctuate. For a short while you may lose control, of your powers - some, or whole."

 

She thrust a bottle into his hooves.

 

"I would say you were welcome, in my home... But that would be a lie." She finished flatly before turning and walking back into the forest.

"Uh, I'm still here you know? Can kind of hear everything your all saying." Cinder interjected.

 

 

"Pay them no mind Cinder" Silver said to her "they obviously have nothing better to do! Than tease a couple of innocent ponies." frowning he attempted to follow Lyona to the site of the Ditch.

"If your group is finished with hostility and smoke, I may help you with your poison joke." The Zebra said, less of a tune carrying in her voice than previously. "Huh?" Silver glanced at Zecora. "who are you? I've never seen a black pony with white strips before! or are you a white pony with black stripes? and what do you mean by losing control of my powers? What powers? I don't usually have any. I just sing and... well I use to play music and sing. Now i just... well don't do a lot."

 

((OOC didnt' they give the ponies a bath in herbs to fix it? Maybe there is more than way to get unjoked.))

Fireblaze looking at Zecora, tilting her head in confusion.

 

'' Poison Joke? Are you telling me that we stepped in the poison joke by accident? I guess we could try to gather some herbs, so we could try to reverse this poison joke. After all, it is pretty silly.'' Giggling at Zecora, with her ears perked up.

"As far as I know, I only stepped in it, Lets not worry too much about it til we have Minty saved. In the mean time... "

 

Silver accepted Zecora's potion and drank it.

 

"I don't think I'll ever get use to this potion drinking with unknown side effects."

'' What are we saving Minty from exactly? Because, if your horn is gone after we get an antidote for the poison joke you will probably be very happy about that.''

 

Looking at Silver Note drink the potion that Zecora gave him. '' Are you sure, that's safe to drink?''

"Zecora, is trustworthy." Cinder explained. "Just... take whatever she says very seriously: she might talk a little oddly but the number of times ponies haven't listen to her warnings..."

 

She raised a hoof to her face.

 

"Anyway, how are we going to get to Minty? On that note..." She walked to the edge of the ditch. "Minty? You in there?"

"Zecora, is trustworthy." Cinder explained. "Just... take whatever she says very seriously: she might talk a little oddly but the number of times ponies haven't listen to her warnings..."

 

"If she's a friend of yours Cinder, then i trust her completely" He said with  slight hicup.

 

"I don't know how to get her out of there.  I don't trust my magic, but if Fireblaze could levitate her out... then maybe we could get her to regain consciousness again."

"Ha! What are you talkin' 'bout, Silver Dote?" chortled Impetus. He flaps his wings a couple times, smiling smugly. The Royal Guard flutters into the air, waving at Minty before darting into the ditch, lazily flying in circles before he suddenly falls to the bottom of the ditch, clutching a wing. Impetus chuckles. "Agh - that cut on the wing Minty gave me when she was, well, evil, caught up to me. Celestia, Luna, and Discord! Fate is ironic, darn it!"

Redwave rolled his eyes.
 
"Loath to admit it as I am, my companion here is correct about the matter." He turned to Nightblaze "Madame, would you lend your assistance to us and grant me this favor? "

"I c-cut you?!" Minty says, shocked. "I.. I would NEVER!" Minty said, sniffing a little. "I guess we're in the same situation, then." Minty said, revealing her wing with a large cut down the side. "I'm sorry I hurt you.. whenever I did." Minty apologized, her tone full of guilt.

"Loath to admit it as I am, my companion here is correct about the matter." He turned to Nightblaze "Madame, would you lend your assistance to us and grant me this favor? "

 

"I somehow don't think we can rely on Fireblaze at the moment. She looks lost in her thoughts"

 

Silver trotted to the edge of the ditch and peered over.

 

"Maybe we could set up some kind of sling to haul them out? " He suggested. "There has go to be some vines around here... or does somepony happen to have a rope?"

"No, it's fine, really. I tried to... well, to put it bluntly, kill you, too. I don't hold anything against you. Though I would appreciate it if someone would get us out of here. Ditches aren't exactly luxury homes, I mean, come on. And... ouch. Both our wings need some serious help. The wound on mine broke open, I guess, when I tried to fly. Grr... I'll probably only be down for a day, but it might as well be a week, or a month, or a year!"

 

((I felt the inexplicable need to throw that in somewhere. ))

Minty nodded. She looked up at the top of the ditch. "Hope we aren't stuck here forever. Just hope." Minty said, looking around the ditch. She decided to lie down. She stopped screaming a while ago; she didn't think it was worth it anymore. Nopony would ever hear her anyway.

"Silver, I may have admitted to myself that you may not be quite as idiotic as I first gave you credit for but do you suspect that if I had a rope, Minty would still be down there?"   Sometimes Red just couldn't help it: some responses were just asking for it.   "The vines don't look sturdy enough to hold an earth pony like myself, maybe a pegasus would be light enough but we seem to be running short..."

 

"I was being sarcastic Mr Wonderfoal." Silver rolled his eyes. Somepony needed to gain a sense of humor.  Then Silver turned to Redwave and added "I may have misjudged you too..."

 

Silver surveyed the surrounding area

 

"Look, maybe if we braid several vines together we can make them strong enough." Silver picked three vines and started braiding making a somewhat decent rope out of them, using the magic in his horn to do it. Hooves were FAR too clumsy for such delicate work. "If only Lyona were here... where did she get to? Luckily, the two in the ditch are both pegasi so they will be light enough to lift with this makeshift rope."

 

Silver peered over the ditch, he tied one end of the vine rope to a sturdy looking tree and tossed the other end down into the ditch to the two pegasi below. "Grab it and Redwave and I can haul you up" he said... just as the potion he'd drunk kicked in and he collapsed into a heap on the ground, unconscious.

 

*thud*

"Forever? Don't be silly. We'll likely be eaten alive before forever comes." Impetus just finishes his depressing sentence when he comes to the realization that Minty doesn't need to be depressed any further... and they need a way out of the hole.

 

Hit with a sudden, random burst of inspiration, Impetus says excitedly, "Each of us has a hurt wing, right? But just one, right? Maybe - maybe if we held on to each other, and then we each flapped one wing, we could fly out of here!"

 

"Orrrr we could just use that vine." Impetus sulks at his semi-brilliant idea going to waste.

Lyona flew to the group, holding a couple of bottles. " Sorry, I had to chat with Zecora for a bit." She placed the bottles in her saddlebags before looking at the scene. 

 

" Really?" Lyona facehooved to see Impetus stuck there as well. " Alright, I'll get Minty out first 'cause she's been there longer and is much lighter." She threw a look at Impetus. " Sorry."

Silver Note groaned and woke up hearing Lyona's voice. "I must have just collapsed" he said. He rubbed his aching head with the tip of his wing.

 

Wing? 

 

"My wings are back!" he said, leaping to his hooves. He glanced around at his wings as if he was looking at a long lost friend. Silver Note lifted the left wing checking for damage. There was none. Somehow the reversing of the Poison Joke effect had repaired his broken wing.

 

"Lyona" he said happily "I'm a pegasus again, I can help fly down and lift them out of there."

Lyona was slowly pulling out Minty from the ditch. She heard Silver, and looked in his direction. -Good thing his wing is healed.-

 

" Get Impetus! I can pull out Minty myself!" Lyona called to him. She had pulled Minty out half-way by now, the mud from the ditch was not very willing to give away it's prize.

"Lyona, use the vines I braided, tie them around her like a sling and we can both pull her out.. then we can get old Blunder step since he's less in the mud"

 

Silver threw one end of the vine rope to Lyona and flew above the ditch, hovering and waiting expectantly

Arthüs not knowing what else to do. Sat down on the ground. He wondered to himself if it was best to stay here out in the open. But seeing little threat he didn't give it much thought. Arthüs gazed at the other ponies then put his hoof on his cheek. *Cough* Well Zecora's off again. Hope she has fun where ever she's going he thought.

"Be careful!" Cinder warned him. "Take it easy for a while, you heard what Zecora said... Don't go hurting yourself."

 

She looked down into the ditch - frustrated over lacking any way that she could help.

 

"I mean, go help them of course, just be careful.you might be a little unsteady or... Something. I don't know!"

Lyona quickly caught it, and flew to Minty. She tied it the best she could, but loose enough that it wouldn't hurt.

 

" C'mon. Let's pull her out." Lyona flew over to Silver and grabbed the vine rope. The pegasus looked over to Cinder.

 

" You have anything that can make the mud a bit less thick?" She called.

"Uh..." Cinder ran a hoof down one of the belts: the majority of her potions had been replaced with the explosive mixture she had made back in camp.

 

"I can make anything, you should know that by now Lyona! I just need a base... Aha! This will do!"

 

She snatched the bottle of brandy from a very disgruntled Redwave and started to haphazardly add to it...

 

"Okay... Minty? Ineptus? Can you hear me? Try not to get any if this in your mouths!"

 

She poured the crude mixture vaguely over the pair.

 

"Try now, that should do something. Probably."

"Don't worry Cinder" Silver said confidently, hovering right over the ditch, "My wings are back and i have everything under controoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool"

 

Silver found himself plummeting downwards, he flapped his wings but found he'd lost all flight ability. He landed in the ditch with a crunch and a splatter of mud.

 

"What just happened?" He groaned
