" Silver!" Lyona had been flying after the kidnapped pony, when they suddenly disappeared from sight. " Silver, where are you?" She called again.   

 

 

Silver could hear Lyona clling out. he wanted to warn her somehow.. to tell her to keep away, that his life was dispensable. now that he saw his foe he feared for the lives of the others. "Now I'm glad I drove Cinder off" he thought to himself.

 

"If he wolves kill me.. so be it" he thought as he called out as loud as he could

 

"Lyona, don't find me... it's a trap!"

 

He lost consciousness as a claw struck him from behind.

Lyona froze. She had heard Silver's words, loud and clear. It sounded as if it was to her left, on the ground. A trap? What am I supposed to do now? Maybe I can swoop in without them noticing...? I should scope out the area first...

 

The pegasus flapped her wings, and fluttered at cloud-level over the clearing. What the heck am I seeing?

The scene below Lyona was a barren area of the forest.  It was  fairly good sized clearing surrounded by brambles with sharp thorns. One gap in the brambles led in and out of the area. Silver Note was chained to the only tree inside the clearing. It was a sad looking tree... withered and barely alive with very little greenery left on it's twisted branches. Almost as if the life force had been sucked out of it. There were some 20 timber wolves pacing the area, and no sign of the dark shape that had grabbed Silver Note.

 

It must be elsewhere... prowling after it's prey.

 

((OOC I had no idea either so I just made it up on the spot))

Lyona clapped her hooves to her mouth in horror. Silver! Why is he chained to the tree? He seems to have passed out as well... The Timberwolves didn't notice me yet, at least. And, good thing they don't have wings, or else I'd be doomed. What to do?

 

(Is she supposed to save him or not? Bit confused on that point. And don't worry, you described it pretty well xD)

"Red?" Cinder said in a questioning voice as she approached the two others. "What's going on? Where's...?"

 

Redwave cut his speech to Minty short.

 

"Gone. We're going to find them now..." He paused on noticing Derpy. "...You know what? I'm not even going to ask. Come on Cinderblock, we're going to save whoever we can."

Derpy's ears perked up at the red maned stallion.

 

"Sometimes that's the best policy, Redwave" She said with a smile.  "Perhaps I can get a better view from the air" she suggested, hovering over them. "The mail will just have to wait for now" 

 

"I wish the Doctor were here" She thought "He'd now what to do!"

 

A dark stalker watched the ponies from the shadows.

 

"So... my favorite mail mare has joined this little expedition" he said to himself. "A perfect little edition to my ultimate plan."

"This group we belong to seems to get stranger and stranger..." Red shook his head. "Ahem, they went this way, let us move!"

 

"I don't know, I've traveled with stranger ponies than these." Cinder managed to smile at the thought as they moved off. "Did you hear the scream earlier? It came from this same direction..."

 

Redwave closed his eyes and frowned as they traveled.

 

"I heard something... we were, somewhat occupied. Between Minty loosing herself to her reflection and the musical foals identity crisis I wasn't paying particular attention to much else. Perhaps if I had, none of this would have happened."

Mixed feelings: those would have been the words he would have used to describe his feelings as be saw Minty come crashing to the ground. He was happy to find that she could not fly away yet distraught at seeing her fall. Relieved to have at least a chance to talk to her yet terrified that he might not be able to help.

 

"What do I mean?!" He hissed through clenched teeth. "I mean, dear Minty. That this pony in front of me is not the one that I chose at the mirror pool. Not the one who's blood covered me as I tried to save her after a Timber Wolf... "

 

Why was he talking to this copy of Minty? He didn't know. He didn't need to justify himself, but felt that he should.

 

"You are not the Minty I care for, but I will find the true you, I promise you this. I will find the Minty I care for, and nothing your spiteful tongue can say will change that. Now, are you going to come with me...? Or do I have to drag you?"

 

He blinked away a tear: this was neither the time nor the place to discuss any of this.

"Well, I'm new Minty, and you probably would never see old Minty again. Ever." She smirked. "Keep dreaming, pretty boy." She strutted away from Redwave, laughing in a evil way. "Never. Me, I've taken over this body and it will be kept that way, okay? You're not seeing you'r precious Minty for a loooooong time."

Suddenly, an idea struck. I could lead the others here, and we can probably free Silver! Lyona thought excitedly. She looked at the ground again, frowning. We might be able to take them on, but barely. I really hope no more timberwolves show up...

 

Having decided what to do, she flew back to the ditch. They're not here anymore! But they can't have gone far... Lyona flew over the treetops, trying to find the rest of her crew.

Doing his best to ignore the words of the green pegasus who wasn't Minty, Redwave made a good speed down the road which ran adjacent to Cinders abomination of a trail. It was tearing him up inside, seeing her like she was, but he had no idea how to deal with it.

 

"They could not have gone that far, could they?" He mused.

 

"I don't even know what we're looking for..." Cinder answered, looking into and around the forest all around her. "Hey, Is that Lyona?"

Lyona noticed the ponies on the ground, and flew down with a grin.

 

" Finally!" Then, her smile faded. " I found Silver. And it's not looking good, at all. He was chained to a tree and there was around twenty timberwolves circling him. I couldn't find the thing that took him away..."

"I found... Well, I found Cinder. And lost Minty." He hung his head.

 

"What? What thing? What's happened?" Cinder exclaimed loudly. "Where is he? We need to get him out of there..."

 

Realization hit: there were three of them. Five if you counted Derpy, wherever she had gotten to, and Minty in her current state. They were significantly outnumbered.

 

"What happened to the others? Impetus and 'Blaze? Do you have a plan?"

"I'm right here." says Impetus. "Sorry 'bout the wait, a timber wolf thought I was tasty... let's just say he didn't like my flavor."

"What? What thing? What's happened?" Cinder exclaimed loudly. "Where is he? We need to get him out of there..."

 

" Well, something carried him to this clearing not too far from here. I was going to swoop down and get him, but he then called out saying that it was a trap. So after some thinking, I flew back and found you guys." Lyona explained.

 

 

 

"What's up with Minty? And why is Silver chained to a - you know what, I'm not even going to bother asking anything anymore. How can I help?" he says, alternately glancing between Lyona and Redwave.

 

 

" I honestly don't know what happened to her. She might snap out of it sooner or later, I hope. Well, I made a plan..."

 

The pegasus then goes of to explain her brilliant plan.

 

(It's basically this: Go to the clearing where Silver is, someponies distract the timberwolves and then everyone else tries to free him.)

"Ineptus!" The mare exclaimed affectionately, happy to see another friendly face.

 

"You all need to stop wandering off into the wilderness." Red grunted to Impetus in relief before turning to Lyona. "I can act as a distraction if need be: I shall give you as long as you require."

 

"Me too." Cinder added, flicking the belt of potions for emphasis. "Oh! Red, you might want this... Sorry."

 

She passed him the sword.

 

"Not really my thing, sorry, don't know what came over me."

Impetus sighs, shaking his head with a slight smile at the nickname. "Are you sure you can distract them... are you sure that you want to? This whole trip has been dangerous, but only two ponies distracting a group of almost two dozen timber wolves is about as dangerous as an Earth Pony trying to take a nice, long nap... on a cloud."

"I said that I would assist you in any way I could. I don't break my word." Red said proudly, before raising a hoof to his muzzle thoughtfully. "... Actually, I do. Unsurprisingly often to be perfectly honest, so far I must say that what you have seen of me may not be my typical self."
 
He shot his jaunty smirk across at the group: it had been what, almost a whole day since he last used it?

Silver regained consciousness with a groan. His head was buzzing... or was it?

 

Buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

 

Silver looked up to see the little parasprite he'd rescued a few days before. 

 

"What are you doing here?" He asked. "It's not safe... go!" He swatted at it with his hooves but it just dodged him and buzzed back and hovered around his head.

 

Silver thought he caught the sound of several others buzzing on the other side of the brambles.

Derpy descended from the skies and landed among the group.

 

"I don't think time is on our side" she said. she glanced over at Lyona. "Pleased to finally meet you Lyona" she said. "I'm Ditzy Doo, but everypony calls me Derpy. It's a nickname. If it's ok with you, I'd like to stay til Silver is free."

 

Gmork slunk off into the bushes back towards the clearing. he entered through gap in the brambles.

 

"Get ready" he growled to his wolves.

 

((OOC so I've brought in a few allies... LOL We really need Minty as her kind self too for the final battle. ))

" If you manage to lure them away, I suggest you head for the nearest river or the like. They don't like water much." Lyona closed the book she had been looking through.

" Nice to meet you as well." Lyona smiled. " You can stay, but be wary. It could potentially go very, very wrong." She shuddered at her last words.

""Oh don't worry." Derpy reassured Lyona. "I'm very use to things going wrong!" She grinned widely at Lyona as she remembered her experience in cloud busting! "I still just don't know what went wrong there..." she thought.

 

"I now I just appear to be a common mailmare, but I've faced things you wouldn't even believe! but I will try to stay out of the way I promise."

"Ready when you are ma'am!" She saluted, without hitting herself or losing balance.

 

"Not quite, you might need these..." Redwave said, looping two blue lenses around her neck and catching the disbelieving look she was giving him. "... What? I can be sentimental, if I so desire. Besides, you might need them."

 

He turned to Lyona and flourished the cutlass.

 

"On your word, Madame."

  Derpy looked at Cinderblock really impressed. She decided to try it.....

 

"Oops, guess I'm just not cut out to be in the military" She said.

 

 

 

"Well, hello, then, Derpy, Ditzy. Whichever you prefer. I have to warn you, timber wolves aren't exactly pink and fluffy. But if you're sure you can handle this, then who am I to stop you?" says Impetus, shrugging.

 

"Oh don''t worry about that," She reassurred him. "Neither were the cyber ponies... much less the daleks and you should have seen this giant snow wyrum that the Doctor and I faced.Trust me... I can handle myself" She said, only slightly tripping over a tree root. She gazed at Impetus confidently as if she hadn't said anything strange at all.

 

"Who would have thought there were so my tree roots in the forest!" She exclaimed.

 

Oh dear Derpy thought. I get so clumsy when I'm nervous!

((( Recap: Minty is discorded again, Silver has been captured by the enemy gmork... there is a link to his character sheet in a previous post and I'm too lazy to go find it there are 20 timber wolves guarding him and Gmork is the leader but he's not a timberwolf, just a regular looking wolf. The parasprites that Silver Saved are hovering around the timberwolfs den, impetus still has his clones on hand, and Derpy hooves has joined the group to help save Silver. Lyona is leading the group.))

 "Hi, I'm Derpy Hooves" She said turning to Fireblaze she was hovering just above the ground to avoid the roots and keeping with the group. "I'm sure everything will be ok" She sounded a little worried herself but tried not to let it make her too nervous.

 Gmork strode into the clearing "They are heading this way. Grab the prisoner, we are moving" he ordered in a fearsome voice. The Direwolf flicked for a moment as he seemed to fade out of this reality for just a moment, then faded back into full view.

 

Two timberwolves unchained Silver Note then snatching him up they carried him after their master.

 

a little parasprite followed quietly behind.

 

 

((OOC moving the final battle scene, don't worry, i'll get you there! just head for the now empty clearing))
