Max, who was still without a weapon, looked at Lyth in hopes that she would take care of the other two wolves as well. He stood absolutely still, trying not to make any sudden movements or really do anything at all to provoke the timberwolves any further.

 

"This is another example of what is known as a 'bad situation'," she mumbles under her breath as her eyes began to glow. Runes appeared at her feet, then circled until it also included Max. "I want you to concentrate on a flame, Max," she calls, "And I want you to focus very hard on a Timberwolf." The runes at their feet began to circle until it was a solid line, "Do it now!" (The effect should be a Timberwolf burning to pieces when done correctly.)

Swordpoint sighed. He had taken Sole for a killer, but he had apparently misjudged. Not that he was a fan of bloodshed, but he certainly had no problems with killing in self defense. "On your left!" he shouted to Sole as he jumped and spin kicked several of the tribal ponies. They fell quickly.

 

 

(OoC: So, Sole, do you want to have their "strange magic" be used in their combat, or should it just be something we see them doing outside of combat? Like, say, we sneak up on one of their camps.

And dude, you need to start mentioning people in your posts. I missed your last one with the announcer because it was just thrown on at the bottom of Crimson's thing. I only skim posts that aren't entirely relevant. Once I get the basic idea, I move on.)

  

Stone grunted, she looked below her. "I need to think about this....it's hard to remember...." She lied. She's done it before but she couldn't be truthful either. "Um....no" she said slowly.

(She's stolen a gem for one of he sculptors, a old hobo pony had on but was passed out in a park. So stone took the apportuniity)

The host gave stone a big creepy white grin, "sorry miss stone...that answer is...INCORRECT!!" Said the host with a crazy chuckle before flipping the switch on a remote control, causing stones cage to lower a few feet above the lava, after it was, low enough to his liking, the host quickly flipped the switch back up, "if you answer two more wrong answers in a row, you'll be fried miss stone...next question, miss rainbow dash, is there anyone in crimson's pirate crew you actually trust besides swordpoint?" Asked the host with a mischevious and tricky grin.

Max concentrated on the flame just as Lyth told him to. He then proceeded to focus in on timberwolf closest to him. He didn't know how but somehow he was able the burn the little flame into a gigantic hungry fire. The sudden burst scared both of the remaining timberwolves so badly, they ran for their lives. Overcome with joy and relief from the fact that he didn't become puppy chow, Max turned only to see the expression on Lyth's face which didn't look so good.

Crimson raised an eyebrow in amusement, "uh...I didn't kill it, you did...with a pitcher...which is weird...yet funny...but next time you should keep your guard up better or you could seriously get yourself killed one of these days..." said crimson with a calm yet steeled expression.

Cosmo simply stared for a moment then chuckled, "I know. I'm very distracted by concern for Lyth... the fact that your father paired us worries me and I can't shake the feeling that he's labeling me a target. I fear he'll hurt her as a method of hurting me... Also, I get the feeling this collar is more of a prank than a liability. It screws with my magic but the results are consistant in getting what I want to get, just odd means of doing it... Anyway, we should keep moving. If we get up high we might be able to find your ship if its nearby... Wait... Where's Altair...?"

Rainbow nodded immediately. "Of course! Cosmo and Crimson helped save Equestria with Swordpoint and me! I'd trust them with my life!" Whoa... so if we lie, we die? This is one sick and twisted game. She glanced at Stone nervously. She wouldn't keep lying, would she?

Max went back to retrieve his knife. After the adrenaline had worn down, he felt kind of embarrassed about dropping it. Max picked it up and tucked it away. With his head hung down from that bit of shame, he began to walk towards Lyth, hoping she wouldn't scold him and just continue to lead the way.

Sole easily ducked a swing from an enemy and kicked him in the head. He hated how swordpoint had just killed so easily. he hated killing, even when it was necessary. Death just seemed to follow him his whole life, and he didn't want to see it anymore.

sole glared at the srange pony that was casting the spell "what the hell... this magic is strange, like its not chaotic or harmonic magic. What the hell is it?" He said, as he felt weakened. He quickly used his wings to propel forward to keep up with swordpoint's burst of speed. "Take him out, I'll watch your back!" He said, as he knocked a few enemies away.

As Swordpoint approached the pony with the staff, he leapt into the air and came down hard with a powerful kick. The sorcerer pony was knocked unconcscious by the impact, and Swordpoint flipped backward and landed gracefully. "Ha! They fall like wheat beneath the scythe!" As he spoke, three more ponies holding staves emerged from the underbrush. Each of them began to chant like the first.

 

Swordpoint's expression changed quickly. "To the right, Sole! We must eliminate them quickly!" He darted toward the nearest one, catching Sole off guard in his haste and pulling the chain.

sole growled in pain and annoyance as he was shocked again. "Dammit swordpoint, watch it!" He said, before punching the staff weilding pony on his right in his head "we really need to kick these guys asses, before we comletely lose our energy!" He said quickly, before he felt annother drop in his energy.

Swordpoint did not notice that he'd shocked Sole, instead going for the next pony who was casting a spell. He jumped into the air, wrapped his back legs around the pony's neck, and spun him around before slamming him into the ground with a loud crack. Oh, dear... it seems that I was too rough. He turned around to see one of the tribal ponies lunging with a crude dagger. He quickly dodged, but the pony still managed to open a small cut on his chest. Swordpoint hastily performed a sweep kick and knocked the pony off of his feet. He then kicked the downed pony in the head and knocked him unconscious. He turned to the final pony with a staff, but he began to feel weak and powerless. Damn... I'm losing my power...

He jumped into the air, wrapped his back legs around the pony's neck, and spun him around before slamming him into the ground with a loud crack. Oh, dear... it seems that I was too rough. He turned around to see one of the tribal ponies lunging with a crude dagger. He quickly dodged, but the pony still managed to open a small cut on his chest. as swordpoint turned to face the last staff wielding pony, sole growled angrily and swung swordpoint like a mace at the pony, knocking him out, before slamming swordpoint into the ground. "I saw that you bastard!" He said angrily, pointing at the pony who's neck swordpoint had snapped.

With the last sorcerer gone, Swordpoint felt his strength return. He hastily threw Sole off of himself and leapt to his feet. "It was unintentional! Put your priorities in order!" He hastily spun around and grabbed the nearest pony, throwing him at the remaining group of tribals. They toppled to the ground, lying still. Swordpoint breathed a sigh of relief.

 

"We seem to be safe for the moment," Swordpoint said cautiously. "We should investigate their village. Perhaps we might find some indication of our location."

Sole stood up and glared "I don't give a damn if it was an accident!" He said angrily, before taking a deep breath and attempting to calm down. "Fine... I'll give you one more chance. But if I see you take annother life I'm kicking your ass!" He said seriously "now... let's get going." He said, as he waited to continue.

Swordpoint moved forward toward the huts, pushing the underbrush and foliage out of the way as he did so. "How strange... They seem to be organized, yet they attacked us like blubbering idiots." The village consisted of numerous huts made of straw and bamboo. All of them were identical, save one large structure which was nearly triple the size of the others. "That would be our best bet. Come, Sole." He walked slowly toward the large hut, wondering if anyone else was still inside the village. Without warning, a spear came out of the brush beside him. Swordpoint had little time to react, but he dropped to the ground beneath the spear's path, leaving it to fly directly at Sole.

 

(OoC: That's actually not personal, despite me saying that I'm getting annoyed lol. I just figure that Sole would be walking directly beside Swordpoint, and I figure them trying to kill us more might change Sole's temperament just a bit. )

((yeah, sorry if that's annoying. But its part of his personality and backstory. And I wouldn't bet on it, he literally would rather die then kill.)) Sole's battle instinct took over and he quickly caught the spear with his tail, the tip mere inches from him. "Thanks for the heads up." He said said sarcastically, as he glared at the direction the spear came from. ((He's about as stubborn as your typical anime protagonist. Sorta like goku or luffy.))

"The barrier is in the mind," she says out of the blue. "The magic, I mean. I remember the unicorns making fun of me learning to use it. Kept trying to tell me an Earth Pony could never learn to utilize it. I have been blessed with the power, though. Even they cannot deny this."

"No, I can read expressions and use inferencing. You look like you've seen a ghost and you more or less casted your first spell, even if you had some help. I simply used my past experiences and guessed. I could TRY to read you're mind, but it would require a mental link, and many disguise spells so you wouldn't notice the mental link... It's complicated and not much worth it."
