Coral smiled. “Cosmo you fool, weren’t you paying any attention when I’d rant about seaponies? This is a royal serpent. Seaponies use them for transportation. I just had to find this!” Coral took out an orb of semisolid water. “This is a seapony artifact which has increased my abilities as well as given me this lovely pet!”

Cosmo just stared for a moment before laughing. He went up and gave his old friend a hug, careful not to give Lyth any reason for jealousy, before he asked, "This is a new one Coral I mean... How the buck did you tame this thing?!"

Lyth was relieved. She felt like she'd been dragged backwards through a muddy trail, then sat on by a troll while being kicked in the head. In short, she was hung over from her use of magic. She saw Coral pull out an artifact that radiated water magic in the purest form, and was to tired to care. She wanted a bed. A nice, soft bed, firm enough to support my frame. And a thick, weighty blanket, to help me feel protected. And a pil- She slumped to a prone position, settling into a light sleep.

Swordpoint landed beside Cosmo, his mouth agape. "Incredible... My apologies, Coral. I hope I have not injured your creature."

Rainbow tried to fight back laughter, but failed. She giggled uncontrollably. "Haha! Sea ponies! Twilight always said they didn't exist at all! Looks like she was wrong!"

Cosmo grinned and replied, "Well it's one thing for you to rant about them and another to tame a sea monster." Looking at her new pet, and how unfazed it was by Swordpoint and Rainbow Dash's combined attack, Cosmo began to think it would make an excellent escort. "This guy could help guard the ship from more of Unbra's monsters and..." Cosmo suddenly had a fearful look. "Hey Swordpoint, did the ship smell bad when you checked on it? Because I remember the tentacle chucks I carved out for our diner... and they have to have gone bad by now..."

Crimson couldn't help but smile happily at coral's sudden reappearence, "who cares about artifacts, seamonsters, or bad fishfood! Your alive! I didn't lose anoather crew member!" Said crimson joyfully before hugging coral, not caring about how awkward he must have looked.

@@TheBreech, @,

"It did not, Cosmo," Swordpoint replied. "Speaking of the ship... we should depart at once. The longer we stay here, the greater opportunity we give Umbra to dispose of us."

Rainbow nodded. "Yeah, he's right. I know we've been through a lot, but we've gotta keep going. He knows we're coming, and I think he's shaking in his boots. He's trying to stop us because he's scared."

"Indeed," Swordpoint said with a nod. "If he was truly confident that he could defeat us, then he would not be making such furious attempts on our lives." He smirked as he glanced at Crimson. "He will know our true force in due time, wouldn't you say, brother?"

Coral smiled. “I have some new abilities as well. When I was gone I met my ancestors and learned about all my new abilities. I have enough power to move the ship on a dead sea now! Then there is my pet, which is quite strong and would be happy to defend the ship.”

"It didn't? Okay, that's good. Now... Somebody wake me up when the ship is ready to go," Cosmo said before hitting the semi soft sand beneath him. The relief of everyone's reunion eliminated the adrenaline that prevented the exhaustion of all Cosmo's spell casting getting to him.

(Training session with Lyth, Kraken attack, those insect ape things, the Hydra, Iron Raze, and flying Lyth and Max to the island with the crew. Cosmo has had a really long day, lol)

(I think it'd be safe to say that it was a long day for everypony.)

Lyth quickly found that her sleep could not last for more than five minutes without being awoken by something or other. She sighed, resigned to the fact that, until she could get on the ship. She crawled over next to Cosmo, and laid down there, because she figured it'd be a bit warmer and perhaps a bit more comfortable.

(OOC: Well... I guess I'll head back the other ship going on around here ;) )

Cosmo was still awake, knowing better than to risk being caught asleep in a place like this. He felt Lyth cuddle up beside him a smiled warmly. Too tired to speak he shifted his head to rest beside her, an action that ultimately cost him his consciousness as the warmth of being with his marefriend lulled him to a deep sleep. Altair stood over them and stood watch preparing methods to wake Cosmo if he needed to.

Swordpoint stared at Cosmo and Lyth. "It has been a very long day for us all... but we cannot stand here. We must move." He picked up Cosmo and threw him over his back. "Could someone carry Lyth? We must return to the ship, and quickly. Remember that Umbra's minions are still about."

Lyth made a noise that was at once both frustration that she wouldn't be able to sleep, and anger that her coltfriend was taken from her again. She glared at Swordpoint from the ground, and probably would've hexed him if she had any energy left. Instead, she thought of all the ways she could hex him, and said nothing.

"Couldn't you wait till you guys got the ship you bucker?" Cosmo grumbled in Swordpoint's ear, equally upset at him ruining the moment he was enjoying with Lyth. He forced his eyes to focus on her glaring at Swordpoint and smiled at how cute her exhausted anger was from his perspective. Ignoring his body's complaints, he used the last of his Telekinesis to hover Lyth with him until Swordpoint got to the ship, ultimately weakening his own body to unconsciousness as soon as he was dropped off in his room, but careful not to just drop his marefriend.

Looking down at Cosmo, he gave a sad smile knowing too well Cosmo had never pushed himself this far before, but confident he would fine with some sleep. "The things one does when in love... I knew it made fools out of ponies but flying Cosmo? I can't help but think that collar did something permanent to your judgement... heh"

Crimson sighed in annoyance at lyth's actions, "nobody bother those two while they sleep, they'll need all their energy they can get for where were going...is everyone here and ready to sail?" Asked crimson as he walked to the center of the ship, giving everyone reasurring look.

Lyth checked Cosmo's pulse. Steady, strong, slow. He'll be out for a while, but he should recover. She reached around him and grabbed Altair out of his hilt, drawing him smoothly. "Now then, YOU aren't sleeping. So you are going to help me. This," she says, taking off her necklace, "Is a symbol of my power, and my faith. But more importantly, it's connected to me; a communication device for Her Mistress the Night. The hope is that you can use it to talk to me too." She ties it securely to the Altair's hilt. The effect was immediate; nearly all her remaining energy depleted, along with most of her magical options. "You... You will... Please..." she collapses on top of Cosmo, and the amulet glowed. Please wake me up when he does, she thought at Altair. (Your choice, works or doesn't.)

Altair felt slightly... closer to Lyth. The power of her necklace was able to carry his voice but his form was too faint for her condition without Cosmo's help. "Lyth? Can you hear me? I doubt you'll be able to see me without Cosmo's magic, but my voice should be somewhat clear. If so, I'd like to say I can't control Cosmo, but that he's been pushing himself like an idiot for you. He can't help but worry about someone so precious to him, and he tends to forget to worry about himself. He'll be fine but hell need sleep before he can function properly. I'll wake you two up in a few hours but for now, you need rest too. I'm sure Cosmo won't mind being your pillow," he said with an invisible grin, before returning to the sword.

(Also, he isn't in your head so thinking things at him won't work.)

She snorted and murmered something in her ancient language, which was automatically translated for Altair;

"Idiot. Don't you know killing yourself for me would just hurt me more?"

She also managed out, "Runes... Tomorrow... Moonrise." She then resigned herself to sleeping, which washed over her like a protective blanket of stars.

(OoC: I guess we fast forwarded to the ship. WEEEE)

Swordpoint nodded and took his place at the wheel. "Let us not delay, Crimson. Our goal draws nearer."

Rainbow smiled. "I'm ready to get out of this place. We've got some flank to kick!" She flew up next to Swordpoint at the wheel. "Ready whenever you guys are."

(Well, I doubt we want another monster to fight so why not?)

She snorted and murmered something in her ancient language, which was automatically translated for Altair;

"Idiot. Don't you know killing yourself for me would just hurt me more?"

Altair noted to pass the message to Cosmo. His mind wandered back to the technique. "I know how much Cosmo would dislike this, but he could use the strength... I hope he'll..."

"Altair?"

"Cosmo? I thought you were asleep..."

"I am but my mind still has energy so I can think. The technique... You're talking about Judgement..."

"...how do you know about it?"

"It was a legend among the younger initiates. A story they told alot... I want to learn it."

"...I thought you wanted no part of your family's past."

"...we're they really such evil ponies? Or we're they raised to be evil? I can't escape my blood or my history, but I can create my own history. I want to carry the legacy of my ancestors, and use it for good. Only to be feared by ponies who would commit unforgivable atrocities against the innocent. It's a technique meant to be feared, but I can decide who will have to fear it most."

Altair didn't respond, stunned by the conviction of Cosmo's choice. "That... that is a good reason. I will teach it to you when we're finished with Crimson's father. For now, try to rest your mind as well as you body."

Crimson quickly walked to the steering wheel of the ship and cleared his throat to speak, "everyone, I have a little detail I forgot to mention about the blaze of glory..." said crimson. At that moment, two thin, yet strong wings extended on both sides of the ship, after a few moments, the sails of the ship caught a massive headwind, causing the ship to lift off the ground and begin to soar into the air. Crimson smiled sheepishly, "...it can fly...but before you ask why we didn't just fly to the red x in the first place, its because its only temporary and lasts for about only 15 minutes...so let's hope we can get off this hellhole before the ship crashes into the earth, killing us all..." said crimson in an unworried tone.

Cosmo woke up in his room, the crew must've left him there. He got up with a mild headache but otherwise feeling great. Heading to the kitchen, he got some food from Coral who seemed too tired to say much more than pleasantries. He got an extra plate and went to Lyth's room. She seemed asleep so he just placed the food on her bedside table and sat down to meditate his headache away at the foot of her bed.

@,

Swordpoint tried his hardest to keep the ship steady. "Brother, you could have warned me that your accursed ship could fly! I was to be a navigator, not a pilot!" Despite his complaints, he was having no difficulty steering. The ship seemed... more responsive like this. It was almost as if it knew what to do, and where to go. Once they had soared over the open water, Swordpoint noticed the wings creaking. Recognizing immediately what was happening, He quickly forced the ship to dive toward the water. It didn't gain much speed, so when he pulled up, the ship hit the water with little force. He heard a terrible clang and glanced at the wings to see that they had ripped right off, just as Crimson had said.

Rainbow laughed. "Well that was something else! Who's ever heard of a flying ship?!"

(OoC: If you go with the idea of leaving some people behind when we get to the Red X, you DAMN sure aren't leaving Swordpoint behind. He'll be right there with you until either Umbra's dead or he's dead. Oh, and I just want to make sure that you haven't forgotten Alter and Hotfoot, the royal guards that Swordpoint brought with him at the beginning of the adventure. I didn't have plans for them, but I want to know if they're dead or not.)
