@,

Rush nodded. "We're probably not too far apart in skill, then. I use to come up to places like this with my family every year, but for some reason we just stopped going a few years ago. So I'm rusty, but I like to think I'm still pretty good. So are you ready to go right now?"

Star nodded and quickly followed behind Dusk...until she tripped over one of her ski's and fell face first into the snow.

She quickly pushed herself out and brushed the snow away, the fur on her face now quite wet. She sighed and pulled off her ski's before jumping up and joining Dusk, blushing slightly.

"Aww, don't worry, Sweetie. You'll get used to it. Just give it time and lots of practice." Once more, he reached a hoof around her shoulder. "Let's just do a few more and head back for some hot chocolate. I don't want you to catch a cold," he said in a courteous manner.

"Okay." She replied, still blushing as they got in line for the ski lifts.

She couldn't help but smile slightly at the feeling of Dusk's foreleg around her.

Fire had been sitting in the lounge all day. Her and Flame had access to everything the guests did...but she didn't feel like doing anything, the performances were really tiring her out...so skiing was a no go.

She groaned and stood up before making her way towards the door leading out to the hot springs.

Deciding to start with something slow, Sparkey started to head towards the hot springs, which, according to the schedule, was open all the time. It wasn't something he would normally do, but he didn't know what to do anyway, so it would work. Hopefully, he was going in the right direction.

Scorching looked unusually confused when Snowdream had trotted off like that... What had gotten under her hooves that made her that way? Maybe... Is she doing this on purpose to get me away from Freezing? Whatever. I need to go to the slopes...

He got up, leaving his empty cup on the table and walking out of the cafe, over to his room. Once inside, he put on the same attire that he had worn coming into the hotel, but... He didn't have any skis. He would have to rent some out in the hotel...

A few minutes later, Scorching was nearing the top of the chair lift, looking down at the slope below. Also he saw Snowdream already getting down the slope. She must've gotten a run in before he got up there. And once the lift made its way to the top, Scorching fell down, his skis hitting the snow with a crunch, and slowly started to slide down.

At first, he wasn't even moving at all, his skis stationary to the ground, no turning. This was mainly because he didn't know how to turn... That's when he saw a tree coming his way, making him jump a little, and his backleg nicking the tree. He wiped out into the snow, rolling onto down to the base and just landing a few feet next to Snowdream. He was slowly trying to get up, but thanks to his skis being slippery from the snow already, he just slipped back onto his chest.

Thanks to Rush causing Freezing's blush to slowly deepen, she looked down for a second, still unsure on what to do. I still don't know... He's nice enough, but... What if Scorch was right? What if he isn't trusting? Wait. Why am I believing Scorching? I'm grown enough to do whatever I want!

"You know, Rush... I would love that. Yes, I'll have a dinner with you."

Snowdrean grabbed scorchings hoof, helping him get back on his hooves.

"You've got to take it slower, I don't want you to hurt yourself!" Snowdream said concerned that he may get injured.

"Instead I just barroling down the slope, turn, that way you zig-zag which slows you down. Now to turn, shift your weight onto your leg that is on the outside, the one closest to the bottom of the slope. Lean forward and slightly into the slope and you should find yourself turning. If worst comes to worst and that doesn't work, you could always use a snowplow. That is where you create an arrow with your skis. This will slow you down most of the time, but not when you going flat out." Snowdream explained. Once she had finished explaining the basics of skiing she led him back over to the ski lift.

@@Alex Kennedy,

Minath was blushing still, but was glad she had made Rambler happy.

"Well, your happiness makes me happy. It's nothing really, I'm selfish for wanting to see that handsome smile of yours." She leaned up to give him a peck on his lips.

((I got that little quip from my parents.))

"I'm good with any time you want to go ski, Rush.", Freezing replied, giving him a warm smile.

"That was the one problem... I couldn't turn, and I managed to get a tree... But don't worry, Snow. I'm not gonna get injured easily. I've had far worse crashes. Like extreme water-boarding, which by the way, if you're a pegasus, watch out for cloud columns..." Scorching kept muttering his past injuries, as he and Snowdream made it towards the ski lift.

((My last post for tonight, I'm so tired !))

Snowdream giggled.

"Well unless I have grown wings in the last five minutes, I doubt ill be having that problem!" Snowdream giggled.

They sat on the seat on the lift and pulled the safety bar over them. Snowdream sighed, loving the peaceful atmosphere the chairlift had. She could feel the cold wind stinging her face, and whipping through the short tufts of her two-toned blue mane sticking out from under her beanie.

Scorching really didn't like the cold, stinging air in his face... He had forgotten to bring his ski mask from before with him, so his face was being pelted with the cold. But, at least he had kept a scarf around his neck, and moved it up to protect his mouth. He casually looked over at Snowdream, smiling a little under the scarf. She was looking really beautiful under the beanie that she had on... Well... I guess I could try to make a move. Who knows? Maybe she might like it...

Scorching had scooted a little closer into Snowdream, putting one of his legs around her back and holding her close.

@,

"I think I'll be snowboarding, seems like more of a challenge to me."

Midnight liked a challenge he didn't really get chances for things like this so it was bound to be hard.

He looked aroung at the gear to get a good feeling about how to conjure it.

"I'm all set, just tell me when you're done and we'll go take the elevator thingy."

@,

((My computer is going to run out of power fairly soon, and my charger is busted, so don't expect to hear too much from me for a little bit. I'm trying to get a new one today, but we'll see what happens.))

Rambler smiled and nuzzled her. "Well, I guess in that case I'm glad you're so selfish. I mean, where would I be if you weren't?"

@,

Rush shrugged. "Well... I don't know, we can go skiing whenever you want, I guess. I mean, I guess I'm ready right now if you are."

He smiled at her warmly. "But first, we'll have lots of fun on the slopes. This one is a bit bigger, so be careful."

@@Alex Kennedy,

Minath did a lopsided smile.

"Good friends, without all the kissing." Minath leaned up and pecked Rambler on the lips. "And Celestia would've set me up with my friend who just so happens to be an alicorn stallion. I actually was the one to train him. He's in charge of the Cloudsdale guard."

@@Midnight Blade,

"Yeah, I was thinking of snowboarding too. I just don't think I'd do well with skis. I'd probably take a tumble down the hill after like a minute of skiing." Aura chuckled a bit as she imagined herself failing right off the bat. She was clumsy that way sometimes. She got all of her gear together and walked up to Midnight.

"Well, I'm ready. Let's go." She stood in front of him and smiled.

Star blushed and seemed to shrink into her scarf at his compliments.

She gave an enthusiastic nod as he talked about the slopes and gave a less enthusiastic nod as he told her to be careful. *Can it really be that dangerous?* She thought, looking down at the ground before quickly looking up at Dusk. "H-How many t-times have you gone sk-skiing before n-now?" She asked.

Fire walked outside and quickly climbed into the springs, there were a few ponies there but it wasn't too crowded.

She stretched and opened her wings, sinking into the water and closing her eyes.

"Well, I've only been to this particular resort once before. I've gone skiing a few other times as well. I spent all day on the slopes though so I got lots of practice. Don't worry, baby. You're in very good hooves," he said cordially, flashing a reassuring smile at her.

Star gave a bashful smile in return as they neared the spot to hop off the ski lift.

She prepared herself this time to make sure she didn't fall off...but again, as she jumped off, she fell sideways into the snow.

She quickly pushed herself back to her hooves and collected her skiing equipment, blushing furiously. "Never gonna get used to that." She mumbled, brushing the snow off her jacket and ski pants...or whatever ponies would wear for skiing.

"Sweet! I'll meet you at the lift in a few minutes!", Freezing said, getting up and giving Rush a quick hug before trotting off towards her room. She had packed a pair of skis in preparation of this very moment, immediately heading out to the ski lift after acquiring them, and patiently waiting for Rush to join her.

Rush smiled and hugged her back. "Alright, I think I'm gonna go ahead and buy some skis, first. I could rent them, but hopefully I'll come to a place like this again sometime soon." He quickly went to the ski shop and bought himself a new pair, then headed out to the ski lift to meet up with her.

"Alright, it's been a little while since I did this, so I might end up embarrassing myself a few times."

Giving a friendly smile back, for the first time in a while on purpose at least, Midnight anwsered. "Alright, let's get on the elevator bench thingy."

They walked over to the elevator, Midnight sitting first and patting on the seat next to him for Aura to sit on.

"It's all right. All you have to remember is that you have to put more power into your legs to turn, tilt your skis at an angle to slow down, and careful when coming to a stop! Otherwise, it's like you're just sliding down a hill!", Freezing assured him.

Snowdream said nothing as he pulled her close. She could feel her heart skip a best as she leaned into him. The cold wind and snow suddenly didn't feel so vicious anymore. She looked up into his eyes and blushed slightly.

"Oh, sorry, Snowdream... I thought you were cold, considering you have just the beanie on...", Scorching said, looking a bit aways to hide a blush.

Rush nodded. "Right. Still, don't be surprised if I don't exactly look two professional." He gestured over to the ski lift. "Shall we?"

After getting her skis on properly she skied over to a tree and leaned against it, looking over at Dusk to see if he was ready. She still hadn't really gotten a look at how high up they were.
