If I may, I have a question? 

When do we start with the die rolls? I'm guessing I shouldn't be rolling for wit to converse right now with the main plot givers?

I will announce whenever a roll is required. Feel free to add rolls anytime though, you might get something extra out of it...

In the last roleplay (where my character did a lot of talking and scheming), I rolled whenever there was the possibility of actual "failure." For instance: when giving Lenore a compliment/bribe, when trying to trick the Guard, etc.

I feel that I should explain why I listed some of the medical tools. I originally created Silver Heart to be the equivalent of a 14th century nurse...and so I did fair amount of research into the subject. However most roleplays don't really let me use that knowledge. Since this RP takes place more than a thousand years ago I thought I'd use this chance to actually play Silver Heart as intended. Despite designing her with the 14th century in mind, I am using a surgeons manual written by Napolean's personal doctor/surgeon for reference. If anyone is interested it's called "The Compleat Surgeon" and it is a surprisingly easy read. It's also free. So I hope no one minds me roleplaying with Silver Heart using historical medicine tools and techniques.

Pretty well done , here some overdue guidelines (by no means complete):

 

 

 

Dexterity: acrobatics, performing delicate procedures of all kind, playing an instrument...

Strength:performing lifting things, intimidating someone by flexing muscles

Toughness: resist fainting from being hit/bloodloss, drinking contests...

Wit: Recall knowledge about a certain subject, convince someone, tell a good joke ect.

Willpower: avoid running away screaming, resist magic

Fight: fighting, evaluating someone' else's martial prowess

 

I a certain result is required, I'll announce it in my post.

 

As a rule of thumb: a result of ten is a somewhat  impressive feat, if you're unsure, just ask me via this thread or PM

And I was just unsure, because as I said about Discharge's fight skill of 7, means he needs  a 1/2 to fail, so it wouldn't be as impressive as it would seeing someone with a 4/5 fight skill matching his performance, that's all.

Ugh, that's my bad. I'd have sworn I had posted a reply this morning. I'll try to get one out real quick before class, I'd do it now but I'm on my way to uni.

Just a status update: I'm gonna try posting from my phone. My uni apparently has some kind of weird block on Mlpforums. The browser keeps freezing the tab while I'm writing my post. Either that or Internet explorer is just rather terrible. Maybe both are true.

So a few days ago a lightning storm caused a power surge and killed my desktop. I won't have Internet access at home for awhile. I'll only be able to post from wherever I go to do my class work. I'm just letting y'all know why I never wrote another post. I'll see if I can't get one out before class. Sorry about this.

I'd like to reply to the RP, but I don't really think there's anything I can say or add at the minute.

It feels like the pacing's a little off, in my opinion. I'm not entirely sure what our next step will be, so I don't want to go and put something that's completely out of the blue.

I'd like to think so, I liked the idea of the whole thing, it sounded interesting and like it would be a nice change of pace from the usual RP's.

Speaking of pace however, I do really feel that the pacing was off, or I just wasn't expecting it. 

A wise man (on the forums, I forget who) once said, there's a fine line between moving an RP along and railroading it. 

 

On a brighter note, if there is a chance we can revive it, i'm all for it. 
I'll take a look and see if I can't wrack my brain for something to post with.

By railroading the roleplay did you mean that you thought that the pacing was too fast or too slow?
