OOC: Clickity Clack

 

Bubbly Fizz's summer camp is surrounded by acres upon acres of land. There are so many types of trees along the path and there are colorful flags marking the path, letting you know which way to go. On the path that leads up to the main cabin of Bubbly Fizz's summer camp, is a large sign that reads "Parents leave your kids here. a staff member will come to pick them up."

 

Missy Splash

 

"Now if anything goes wrong, or you feel uncomfortable or even if you just decide you don't want to be here anymore, send us a letter, okay?" Missy Splash's mother said for umpteenth time. The fifteen year old unicorn, rolled her eyes.

"I'll be fine mom, chill out!" She laughed and used her magic to get her bags out of her father's wagon.

"Be safe kiddo, don't go into the water immediately after eating and--

"Dad!" Missy groaned, waving her hoof at them. "I'll be fine! Go on your vacation already!" She laughed. And her parents each gave her a hug and a peck on the cheek before pulling their wagon away.

Missy turned to the sign and frowned, "Wait here? Seems kind of weird...But whatever, it's nice out and the weather ponies didn't say anything about rain." She laid her suitcases on top of each other and sat on top of them.

 

 

Lavender Pierce

 

"This is ridiculous! Why do I have to go to summer camp?!" She yelled, from her seat in the pony cab. Of course no one answered her because she was alone, aside from the driver of course. "I have my own job as a stylist to the best pegasi in Cloudsdale but no-o, that's not good enough! I have to have friends and learn compassion!" She snarled, mimicking her parents' voices.

The cab stopped abruptly and the driver turned to look at her, "We're here, Miss Pierce."

Lavender glowered at him and stepped out of the cab. The pony cab driver cleared his throat and held out his hoof. Lavender Pierce curled her lip in disgust. "My parents already paid you." She snapped.

"Well yeah, but to come all the way down from Cloudsdale to the surface is a long way and most ponies tip-

"Ugh, fine!" She said and tossed one bit his way. "Now get lost."

With a glare and huff of anger the cab pony flew back to Cloudsdale.

Lavender deposited her bags one by one onto the grass next to the dirt path and sat there fuming, completely ignoring the unicorn who was already there.

[Undyne 1,483]

Slowly, a small, black pegasus had walked towards the dirt trail that was leading to the entrance of the camp, with nothing but a small bag on her back. Her faded, long yellow mane was getting right into her eyes, which were hiding up a scared, depressed expression in her face. And she really didn't know what else to do... She sat down at the farthest part of the dirt trail, but not far enough to where she would be forgotten...

 

She took her bag off of her back, opening it up to reveal two items: a near-torn, crusty yellow notebook, and a small teddy bear that she had since her 6th birthday. The notebook had said "Diary of Sorrow Melodies". She took it out, and flipped through the pages to find an old letter that she had written before, but was ripped up and sighed. Then she closed the notebook and put it back into her bag, simply waiting for her to be escorted inside the campsite.

Rosemary Petal woke up as the taxi hit a big bump in the dirt road. She wiped the edges of her mouth, which were coated in drool, and grabbed her purse. "How much longer will it be?" The driver replied that it would only be a couple of minutes until they arrived. She sighed and leaned back, staring out the window. She was so nervous, afraid if she would be in a cabin with only boys, or, Celestia forbid, one of her friends. The thought made her want to stick her tail between her legs and run home. 

"Here we are, Miss Petal," the driver shouted unnecessarily loud. "Alright, thanks for the lift, Harry." She handed him fifteen bits. "Will that suffice?" "You've overpaid by five," Harry replied with a slight smile. "Keep the change."

She collected her bags with a deep breath. She eyed the long path, thinking of how she could possibly heave all her bags up the hill. She didn't notice that she had left her favorite paintbrush in the cab, along with all her pencils and markers.

Rose took a few steps forward, stopping next to a black pegasus who was eyeing a wrinkled, old piece of paper.

An orange pegasus lazily flew down the dirt trail. He had startling light blue eyes that contrasted his coat. He tugged at his neck cloth, which was the same color as his eyes. He readjusted his saddlebags and landed near the group that had already gathered outside of the entrance. "Hey." He didn't want to seem anti social so he greeted everyone that was there.

Star was terrified...this was the longest she'll be away from home, and her parents would be three hours away.
She couldn't even reply to her dads (A Zebra named Amani) constant rambling about how fun camp would be while her mom (A raw food chef from France, her name was Night Lily and she was a pegasus) named the many plants and tree's that were edible as they sat in the carriage.

Star didn't really know what to think...she always had something to say back to her dad...but right now she couldn't come up with anything as she stared down at the floor of the carriage...she was very nervous.
She squeaked as the carriage stopped. Her dad jumped out enthusiastically while her mum climbed out with her usual dreamy expression.
Star's dad grabbed all her luggage and walked over to the trail, gesturing for Star to follow...she didn't.
After putting down her Violin, Accordion, Guitar, and suitcase, he walked back to the carriage and picked her up, placing her on his back.
She couldn't help but giggle slightly as he trotted back over to all their luggage, bouncing up and down on his back.
he placed her on the ground and nuzzled her cheek. "You are going to have such a wonderful time, Star." He said, as her mum flew over. She also nuzzled Star and hugged her. "You're going to make lots of friends. Your father is very right." She said, kissing Star's forehead before standing up.
Star hugged them both, near tears but they were in a bit of a hurry. "We'll see you very very soon." Both her parents said in unison, smiling as they trotted back over to the carriage.
They all waved at each other as the carriage drove off, her father yelled back. "MAKE SURE YOU FLOSS." Star let out a nervous giggle before turning around to see several other ponies.
Her small smile faded to be replaced with a very shy expression as she sat down by her luggage.

Fire had said her goodbyes to her brother and parents three days ago when she left Vanhoover. She had flown all by herself and got her own hotels...she had even camped out at some parks a couple times.

Fire was a very adventurous pony and would much prefer to do things herself rather than sit in a carriage and talk about how boring it was.
She dived down to the ground, leaving a long trail of fire behind her before she landed with a *Thump* Making quite the noticeable entrance. She dropped her large travel bag on the ground and clapped her hooves together before throwing them into the air in celebration. "Alright...LETS DO THIS." She yelled, looking totally stoked before she sat down on her bag.
She laughed and grabbed a large metal water bottle from her bag, taking a few long gulps.

Missy Splash

 

Upon the arrival of the other ponies Missy Splash jumped to her feet, addressing them in a cheery tone. "Hi, guys!" She said. She beamed at the pegasus who had flown down from the sky, as she seemed to be the most talkative. "I'm Missy Splash." She said, smiling wide. "I hope we can all be friends!"

 

Lavender Pierce

 

Lavender snorted when one ponies' parents yelled for them to not forget to floss. "Lame." She said, loud enough for the pony to hear. When the lime green unicorn introduced herself, Lavender rolled her eyes. She wasn't going to grace these weirdo ponies with her name or her...Friendship. She just wanted this stupid vacation to be over.

Blaze smiled. At least some of them seemed to be friendly. "Name's Blaze Finder. My mates call me Blaze." He glanced over at the purple pony. Well someone's being a little sour puss. Hope that changes. Hey tugged at his neck cloth and looked to see what was int there. There was a hammer, flint, a rod of steel, and goggles. Alright everything's there. Blaze repositioned his neck cloth before anyone could see that there were things inside it.

Fire wasted no time in jumping up and giving Missy a hoof bump. "S'up. My name's Fire Sky. Of course we can be friends." She said, sticking out her tongue and giving Missy a hug before picking up her water bottle and taking another long drink. "That was a loooong flight."

It took everything in Star's willpower Not to burst into tears as the purple pony spoke.
Her lip quivered and she slowly shrunk behind her instruments so no pony could see her as she quickly wiped some tears from her cheeks. *I wanna go home.* She kept thinking.

Missy Splash

 

Missy beamed, "Well I know we just met but do you mind if I call you Blaze?" She asked the orange stallion, and then turned to the purple mare, "And you Artsy? You guys can call me Missy!" She chirped. She hoped she wasn't being overly friendly, she also hoped she wouldn't be in the same cabin as the light purple mare beside her. She was just plain rude.

 

She practically glowed when Fire Sky gave her a hug. See she was already making friends!

Lavender Pierce

 

Lavender paused taking in the orange pegasus appearance. He's pretty cute...She thought, and pushed her mane behind her ears and smiled. Maybe she could play the nice pony, if it meant getting to that stallion.

"And, I'm Lavender Pierce." She said with mock cheer. "Sorry about before, I was just...Bummed out about the whole ride to this place." She said smiling.

Blaze shook the hoof and nodded. "Likewise," he said. He turned towards Missy. " Course you can. Finder is more of a family name anyway." He looked around at the group of ponies. They weren't exactly the most ordinary group. There were the two that seemed somewhat friendly, the one that would probably define herself as awesome, and the one that was crying. Blaze glanced over at what he had first labeled a sour puss and smiled. "Yea that rude retort didn't seem like it would belong to someone like you. It's understandable."  He had noticed that the mare had flipped her mane when she had looked at him. Hmm that's usually a sign of flirtyness. I'll have to keep and eye on her. Something tells me that retort was intentional. Blaze saw the pencil fall and went to pick it up. He flew up and handed it to Art Streak. "I believe this belongs to you," he said with a grin. He looked down at her drawing. "Hey that looks a bit like me. It's pretty brill in my opinion."

After a while, Rose left the mysterious pegasus and went to join the rest of the group. Feeling nervous, she stayed near the edge of them, but she spotted one pony holding a sketchbook. She figured she would say hello, so she walked up to her. "He-hello, I couldn't help noticing your art supplies you have there, you see.. I'm an artist myself..."

At that point, she realized her supplies were missing. She felt dizzy, and looked down the hill. Naturally, the taxi was already long-gone. She shuddered at the thought of bearing this camp without her colors.

Fire smiled at the ponies around her, not noticing the part pegasus part zebra hiding behind her bags...or the other mare who walked off away from the group.
Fire put her water back into her bag before pulling out something to eat...not really caring if they had to walk over to the camp...she could eat on the road. She was starving. "So, where you guys all from?" She asked.

 

 

 

Star did her best to stay hidden behind her luggage, still terrified of everypony...mostly that mean mare...

Two very nearly identical grey ponies trotted into the camp, looking around with wide-eyed fervor. They appeared to be alone, except for each other, but this did not faze them. They seemed rather used to it. 

 

They were conversing casually as the looked around, but evidently the mare must have taken offense to something the colt said, as she tackled him to the ground two seconds later. For a moment, they were nothing but a flailing blur of limbs and shocking red manes, and then they were standing back up again, dusting themselves off, as if nothing had happened. 

They looked around, and spotting a group of kids standing around not far away, galloped at full speed at them. They showed no sign of slowing down until, mere feet from them, they skidded to a complete halt, right next to a purple pony and a blue pony with a fiery mane. It would have been impressive had they not showered the pair in little pebbles and dust that were kicked up by their skidding.

 

"Hi!" they said simultaneously.

Sorrow looked around the area, seeing all the ponies here already... She was far away from everypony else. She got out her notebook again, opening it up before the letter in the back had flew out of the book. It rode the wind all the way to a pile of luggage that was blocking a mare behind it...

"Oh, I couldn't possibly.. Well, maybe just a couple, you're so kind..." She smiled a little bit, if everypony was this nice, maybe this wouldn't be the worst experience of her life. "I like your bag, by the way." She said to the purple pegasus.

She noticed a Zebra hiding behind her bags, curious, she walked over to where she was. "Hello there" The Zebra quivered behind her luggage, but Rose stayed. "Is something wrong?"

She couldn't help but notice as a paper landed on one of the bags, she picked it up and inspected it.

Blaze shook his head and smiled. "Nah I think I'll stay on the ground for now." And with that he shut his wings and deftly landed near a mare who seemed to be hiding. He debated whether he should act concerned or friendly and decided on friendly. "Hey there. Name's Blaze. Mind if I-" Blaze stopped when a slip of paper landed next to the mare. "What's that?" He then noticed another mare who walked up to them and he nodded towards her in greeting.

Star stared nervously at the mare but didn't speak...she couldn't. She glanced around as the mare picked up a piece of paper from Stars bags.

She looked back up at the mare and gulped, not knowing what to say.
Then ANOTHER pony walked over, making Star feel more nervous.

Fire covered her face with her hoof before brushing herself off and instantly smiling at the two ponies. "HI." She said, enthusiastically, holding out her hoof for a hoof bump from the twins.

Missy's eyes widened when two identical ponies ran up to them, spraying them with pebbles. "Hey! Watch it!" She groaned, shaking the dust and pebbles out of her mane. "Be a bit considerate of everypony else okay?" She reprimanded.

 

 

Lavender Pierce

 

Lavender smiled at the orange stallion. Yes she was definitely going to get him. But before she could say anything more, he went over to the pony she had snipped at before. She grumbled under her breath and sat back down on her luggage. The stallion- Blaze FInder was the only pony that she was interested in talking too, and she could care less about anypony else--

 

Her eyes widened when two seemingly twin ponies approached them, showering some of the ponies in pebbles and dust. One of them was a stallion and pretty cute. Well why limit myself to one when I can have two? She thought and approached them.

 

"Well, hello there."  She said to the stallion.

Once Sorrow had gotten the piece of paper, she looked back up to see a mare right behind the luggage, making her blush a good amount. Then she saw another mare right next to her, nodding in a greeting. Sorrow... isn't a sociable pony. So with one gulp, she dashed back to her bag over at the far end of the trail, sitting back down and clutching her bag with her bear in it, and shaking a bit, eyes clenched closed in fear.

Rose read the paper, covered in inky loops. It was almost illegible, and she gave up trying to read it. She could read the name however. It was the same as the one loosely written on the back of the pegasus's bag. She set the note down and looked back at the apparently frightened mare.

She wondered if she should speak to her again, or what. She'd never seen anypony like this before, so scared of other ponies.

Rose also noticed another pony near them. She shot a confused look over, wondering if the pony had an answer to why she was behaving this way.

Blaze noted the look and shrugged. Some ponies are just shy like that. He didn't really know many shy people. Inks is kind of shy. And Echo is too. Well not really. Why are ponies so shy? Blaze smiled at the pony who had given him the confused look and extended a hoof. "Blaze, if you didn't hear me say it earlier."

"Still, it's very, very nice of you to do that" Rose turned back to the other pony. "By the way, my name's Rosemary, but everyone calls me Ro or Rose. What's yours?" The pegasus replied, "Art Streak." "Heh, I like that name a lot better than mine."

She noticed that the stallion was looking back at her, he said that his name was 'Blaze.' "Oh, hello there. My name's Rosemary, well, Rose." She shook hooves with him, blushing just a little. She didn't know many male ponies back home.

(Sorry, had a really busy day today, could not get on until now.)

 

Leafdew's parents pulled up and saw the sign indicating that he was to be dropped off.

 

"Well, this is it, kiddo," Leafdew's dad said as Leafdew grabbed his backpack.

 

As he slung his backpack over his shoulder and reached for his duffel, his mom spoke. "Have fun, honey! Have great adventures and make plenty of friends!

 

"Okay," Leafdew groaned. Oh, yeah, friends...because other ponies are just soooo nice.

 

His parents called goodbye, and he waved as they disappeared into the distance. And then, as the sign instructed, Leafdew sat down on his duffel bag, and waited for somepony to come and take him to the campgrounds.

Fire grinned. "I'm Fire Sky. What's your name...'s?" She asked, putting her hoof back down and looking the mare and colt over...her eyes lingering on the mare a split second longer, it wasn't really all that noticeable.

Star looked from the mare to the colt before she slowly inched her way around to the other side of her bags...she didn't want to just sit there while they chatted.
She stopped until she was sitting on the other side of her bags when she realized now everypony else could see her.
She gulped and reached into her bag, quickly pulling out a book and opening it up...not reading of course, just something to hide behind.
Little did she know...the book was upside down.
