Cutie Mark: Paradox Triangle. Shows his affinity with illusions and the mind. The Cutie Mark also works as a rallying point for Anti-Celestia ponies saying that Midnight is destined to be a great Rebellion Leader.

 

Personality: Midnight is free-spirited, calculating, and somewhat light. He's very arrogant when in positions of power. Midnight overlooks certain details because of it. Midnight goes through several "mood swings" from happy and nice to a very harsh pony. Somewhat friendly when need be.

 

Backstory: Born in the bad part of Manehattan, Midnight was always the good, studious type. His parents were good standing folks but Midnight was always subjected to attacks by other colts in the area. Being good ponies, his parents taught him to not fight back, which lead to more attacks than if he had fought back.

 

When he was about 10, he discovered his Cutie Mark, and a terrible destiny. Midnight could infiltrate the mind of any pony he chose and if he braved the visual simulation of the mind and survived long enough to reach certain areas, he could control any part of their mind, rendering them from brain dead to insane to completely normal.

 

Midnight fled after accidentally rendering one of the school bullies in a permanent coma. He wanders everywhere with several ties to rebellious groups all across Equestria from harmless gang type groups to groups that wish to bring back Discord. He has pent up aggression against Princess Celestia for ignoring the Manehattan slum's plights.

 

Other: The "Mindscape" as he calls the dimension he can conjure up, is a visualization of the mind. Although in theory, Midnight can control this dimension, he cannot. Midnight can, however, interact with the dimension.

 

The Mindscape is based on the personalities, consciousness, and subconsciousness of the ponies. Example: Pinkie Pie would have a very sunny, somewhat chaotic landscape with a buried area that's dark and depressing, which represents her buried fear of her friends not liking her parties. When Midnight interacts with an area, such as removing or adding pieces, it causes several abnormalities within the pony.

 

Brain Death is caused in the Mindscape when Midnight Veil completely shuts down the mind, which is extremely dangerous for him as Midnight can also go into a comatose for several days. Midnight can't access a sleeping pony's mind as well because of the incredibly dangerous and constantly shifting mind when a pony dreams.
