Well, let's start with a few things. Will the same rules apply to trotters? (In other words:

 

1) Bitten, become zombie

      a) Unless you cut the wound as soon as possible. 

 

2) Dead, become zombie

      a) Unless you take out the head

 

Also, will trotters be able to fly/magic if they still have their wings/horn?

Yes, the same rules will still apply to the trotters, although we might make them deadlier, stronger. Faster, not just shambling corpses, but not World War Z zombies either.
