Also, everyone is going to die, the bandits are going to gun them down just after they release Twilight in a last ditch attempt to restore things.

Yep, Twilight will travel back in time at the risk of creating an irreperable paradox and possibly destroy the universe, but.......everything gets fixed because alternate Twilight will kill the bandit leader before he can kill Light, then Stephan will blow up the reactor and the time-line will be restored.
