She tossed her belongings on the seat next to hers and closed her eyes to take a nap. This is gonna take a while, isn't it? 'I hope we don't bump into any zombies on the way there..'

josh went to the back of the train as far as he could from the others. taking his rucksake off his back and taking out his notebook and herbs. tearning to a certain page he carefuly started to mix herbs together and mash them up into a paste like concoction

"my name is stained steel it is nice to meet you" steel said, never taking his of his work, he finished geting the blade stright while zeta was talking he took it and placed it in the hilt he had fixed it the the hilt he then took it and began the process of sharpining the balck and silver dagger

When Zeta finished, he turned back toward Azura and noticed she had started to take a nap. So being the guy he was, decided not to bother her and took out his wrapped up rifle. All the parts seemed a little dirty, except the new high power barrel and silencer so he began to clean them with the kit that came along with the gun.

Icy had followed the group on to the train. she looked around and saw the everypony doing their own thing. She noticed the the gun that Zeta had. 

"I've rarely see those around anymore" She said.

"You could say the only thing that hasn't changed in this world are guns" Icy took a seat next to the sleeping pony.

"Actually, you may be surprised." He spoke while watching as Icy sat down. But he continued to clean the parts on his rifle one by one while talking. "This is new..ish, only issued to very few of the ponies within the equestrian army. GUNS in general are only issued to very few ponies, but lets not get into that. It's a sniper rifle called a JNG-90, not the most high powered one but can be customized a ton which is why I like it. The only problem is, i'm not really a sharpshooter so my aim may be off a good bit."

Steel wathced as icy as she came In and sat down, steel paced his bag up anbmived to the middle of the train which was empty, he pulls out the dagger he had been working on and finished sharpening it, he then took out te polish and a rag and began to make it shine like new "this will take awhile and once I'm done I will refine the edge so that it will be the sharpest blade I have even if I don't use it often it will be ready to use if need be" he said under his breath

Grand entered the train and sat in a seat next to a window, She hadnt left canterlot in years. She hoped that by some chance, the world outside had calmed down, but she knew it could have only gotten worse. She looked out the window, and in the farthest point of her vision, she could see the trotters waiting for them

Fire Horn looked into the train, counted everyone, then, satisfied that everypony had made it on, went to the front of the train to start it.

"How do i?" Fire Horn thought. He pulled a lever up, that was the brakes, then pushed another lever forward, the train moved abruptly forward, then began to gain speed.

"My, its been awhile since 've been on a train" laughed Grand nervously. Trains returned bad memories but she tried to block them from her mind, Her eyes were trained on the window, hoping that the memories would go away, why did they have to go by train? She watched Canterlot fall into the distance and she took a depp breath

"Alright everypony, once we get to Baltimare, we'll be approaching from the east, so the seafront will be even further east, unfortunately the train won't take us all the way into the center of the city." Fire Horn explained. "If there's a boat there, then we're going to have to be quick about it. Also, in the back of the train, there are earpieces that are all connected to each other, so that we can communicate."

When the train jerked forward the dagger steel wa polishing almost stabbed Steel but he dodged and it hit the seat instead he pulled it out of the seat an wiped th polish of the seat " just great" steel said in anger "now I have to pay for that"

"Grand looked over at steel. "Dear, I can gaurantee this train is going to go through worse than that. hell, it already has. Dont worry yourself over it" she said, still supressing the past incidents. "Just enjoy the ride while you can. Because once we hit trottingham its going to be nothing but survival."

"thanks, but I will still be paying for the damage I have caused and for me everything is survival that's why I'm taking this time to make sure my blades are in top form" steel said letting his mind wonder to befor the outbreak when he had enjoyed himself it had been so long since he had a real small on his face

"You wont have to if the train never makes it back to Canterlot" Said Grand before turning back to the window. Trotters were becoming a more common sight. They made her sick. She just had to remember what she was doing this for. She could help save so many ponies. but each trotter made her feel more and more nauseous. the Trains rolling movements didnt help either. "oh my" Was all Grand managed to get out before she ran to the bathroom to empty her stomach

"Well, there's not much else to say, but be ready for anything." Fire Horn said, before sitting down in a seat next to Missy and Starburst.

"We're going to be fine, once we get to Baltimare, we'll deal with things as they come." Missy said.

"I know, but... i'm responsible now, for whatever happens to everypony. I couldn't bear it if somepony died." Fire Horn replied.

Grand walked back to her seat, a little pale.

"well, first we are to go to Baltimare to find a boat, Then we are crossing the ocean to the land of the zebras. Its going to be quite dangerous, I hope you know what youve gotten yourself into" Said Grand as she composed herself. It would take her awhile to get used to this lifestyle again

"dont worry about me, Ive just forgotten what its like out of canterlot. Ive been through much worse" said Grand, laughing weakly. She watched as they got closet to Baltimare, the amount of trotter growing as they got closer. "looks like Baltimare might be more trouble than originally expected"

"that's just fine we are as ready for this as we can be" steel said after he composed him self happy that no one noticed him break down for a second, he th dagger in a cloth wraping an put it in his bag it was time to prepare mentally what was to come he needed to remain calm and collected if he was to survive

But Zeta gave a little smile and put down a part that he cleaned to pick a different piece up. "Don't worry, you have all of our backs. And remember, this gun isn't the only weapon on me."

Stephan stayed on top of the train and looked out onto the horizon. He usually just daydreamed while he was up there, but for now, he was more focused more on soaking up the world around him. It may have looked like a wasteland now, but once the plague is cured, it'll be the world he'll have to live in forever. "This place... this terrain... why does it look so vague? I should know all of Equestria. After all, I sped around the entire land twice in the past." Stephan thought to himself. He was just glad his companions were safe inside the train. As they got closer and closer to Baltimare, the number of undead increased drastically. All he could do was give an ugly look to each one they passed.

Starburst went over to talk to Grand, they hadn't actually spoken all that much since they had been reunited a day ago.
"Hey Grand, i just wantd to come over and talk to you, since we didn't really get a chance to catch up earlier." Starburst said. "So, what have you been doing these past years?"

Grand smiled. "Well, ive been making a living, prforming on the street for bits, enough to get me by. Mostly just thinking, remembering, forgetting, things like that. HAd someone told me I would be back out here 8 years ago I would have called them mad" she said tiredly. "but her I am, hopefully about to stop this madness"
