[The Ponyville Critic 304]

Fire Horn arrived in Ponyville, it took him about an hour because he found a friendsly dragon who he had persuaded to give hhim transport. The place was a mess, there were trotters everywhere, it didn't seem like the same place anymore. Ponyville was dead, he just hoped he wouldn't find them in here. Shivering at the thought he started to make his way through the town, looking for his friends.

Josh walked out of a room in between the two ponies "grand i have zycrin and i beleive he has questions you wish to have awnsered but you have to let me get a poison antidote from him first" Josh then turned to the new pony "your gunshots are gonna get us all killed cant you kill them any quieter?

Josh stared at zeta "your hurt it fortunate that i got more supplies the madonna lily i got is perfect for fractions" Josh threw the madonna lily and moss to zeta "just break up the lily and rub it into the wound then tie the moss over the wound with lily vine i woudl do it but i dont think you like me doing it"

"Uhn... I think, I need your help in doing this now.."

Zeta was immobilized at this point. The only thing his body was doing now was breathing, and that's just about it. Being a brusier had its strengths, but they have its flaws as well.

Though, it was too late to ask now since Josh had walked away before he had a chance to talk. His best option now was to take it slow and apply the lily and moss onto him, unless another pony was there to help.

Grand flicked her head to Josh, surprised to see him, end even more surprised to hear that the asassin had been captured. she thought about asking him some questions, but realized he would only take the oppurtunity to torment her more. " No, I don't want to see that monsters face. just kill him and get it overwith she said, turning back to the mysterious pony. now clearly sidetracked, she said to the pony " look, if you are going to stay here, I suggest you find a quieter method of killing those things, or Your just going to be digging your own grave" and without another word she turned to leave

Toaster glared. Who in the hell did this mare think she was? Just to come up out of nowhere and be like this to him?

Then a thought struck him; he wouldn't be cooped up in here anymore, waiting to die, either from starvation or at the teeth of the Trotters. Lowering the M1 Grand, Toaster sighed.

 

"Alright. I'll go with you." He said as he grabbed his saddle bag. "But we're flying there." He said as a metallic and machine like whirring was heard. Suddenly, a pair of black and toffee colored mecha-wings flared from his sides. He turned to the window and gestured for the mare to stand next to him.

Grand had no desire to go near that pony. " i am quite capable on my own, I will walk" she said stubbornly, but looked out the door where the streets were so packed she would most certainly die if she attempted it. she huffed, her pride damaged and slouched over to where the brown pony was and stood next to him " very well. lets just get there already" she said angrily

Hopping up and hovering over the mare, Toaster gently wrapped her with his forelegs and picked her up. The rifle he used pulled back by itelf for 'Flight Mode' and Toaster flew through the window, high above the rotting horde of undead below them.

 

Wind smacked them in the face as he flew, and Toaster had to yell.

 

"Which way to your group!?"

Josh walked back in to zeta and helped him apply the herbs "everything is going crazy" Josh stared at zycrin waiting for him to wake up and kept writing in the notebook "zeta there are about to be a lot of trotters here and you cant move" Josh walked to toaster "can you take this guy to?" "im staying here got something to take care if but my wing is fine so i will fly once i get once i need can we meet in the trainstaion? if you are quiet then they wont see you and i can meet you later"

Grand looked, realizing the group was likely spread out all over ponyville and surrounding area now. her best bet was to go to the train station and hope everyone gets there eventually. She didnt like the idea of being alone with a new pony and having no idea where her group was though. she huffed after a while and said "The train station!"

It would almost seem like nopony would help him, but Josh eventually did come back and called to Toaster for help.

"You do know, I was the one to shoot him right..?" Zeta spoke. "But no credit has been given yet. I would like to say thank you for at least stalling him and protecting Lady."

Tilting to the side, Toaster glided over to the train station, his rifle deploying as he flew.

 

"Looks like we have some company!" He said gesturing to the dark figures on the platform below. It was impossible to see if they were alive, or rotting.

 

Better be safe than sorry, and dead.

 

The sounds of ammo being loaded into the rifle was heard and the firing bit came up, ready to fire.

' YOU IDIOT! YOUR ONLY ATTRACTING THEM!!!" she said, wriggling around, " NOW WE ARE ALLGOING TO DIE" she used her magic to pick up alarge chunk of rubble, and crushed a good chunk of the trotters below." see? theres better ways to kill them!" she said, a little smartly

"Too much time, not enough time." Toaster said growling as he fired a couple shots as he got near the platform. Flaring his wings again, Toaster brought the two to a slow glide and landed onto the train platform. Looking up, Toaster was surprised to see that the dark figures were actually other survivors, most likely the group the mare had came from.

Grand brushed herself off, and tried to fiz her hair as well as she could." my goodness you are one irresponsible pony" she said under her breath. nobody had made it to the train station yet, so she looked to see if there were any trains around. There were a few lone cars, but the only engine she could see looked in pretty bad condition. it was doubtful that it would run

Zycrin finaly started to come around, and wake up. As he awoke, he noticed that he was in the bell tower of ponyville. He could feel the effect of his homemade poison starting to take effect. He tried magic to escape, but he could not find the strength, all of this was a suprise to him, as he thought that the ponies he was trying to kill would have left him to the totters.

Fire Horn was currently hiding in what was once the home of his fiance, Golden Oaks Library, where she studied magic. It was painful to remember her, they were seperated during the outbreak in Ponyville, he saw them being surrounded by trotters, he had to run away, soon after he found a group of survivors and stuck with them.

 

(I need to find some of you, strength in numbers.)

Such a pony like you I thought you would be able to take the shot and still walk it offlooks like I was wrong.” Zycrin began laughing in Zetas face again.

Thunder Roller galloped back to Ponyville looking for the others.She spotted Grand Finale and a pony she did not know at the train station. She glided over to the train station.

"Hey Grand. So who's the new guy over there." said Thunder Roller as she gestured at the brown pony with metallic wings.

Lady groans in uncomfort as she slowly regains consciousness. "Ergh...." Her eyes slowly blinked open. Suddenly she realizes where she is. "What am I doing back here?!" She squeals. Wriggling around she could feel the binding of the rope. She had been tied up. ((You mentioned they were tied up, right?))

The herbs you need to cure joshes poison do not grow in this part of equestria. He has no hope of living. Unless..." Zycrin knew he was poisoned and needed a way to get to his suppliess and he knew just the way to do so.

Fire Horn had blocked the door to the library so that the Trotters couldn't get at him. He was looking through a book of pictures, it was of Missy and her friends, they were all either dead or infected at this point. A brown pegasus flew overhead. Curious, Fire Horn followed, it looked like he was heading for the train station.

"Some idiot who thinks the best way to kill trotters is by making as much noise as possible" she said rolling her eyes. "Sorry for running away like that, I thought it might be a pony I kne" she said quietly. No matter, they found another survivor, albeit a jerk, and nobody died, or at least she hoped. She hasn't seen zeta in a while

Zycrin knew he was poisoned and needed a way to get to his suppliess and he knew just the way to do so.

"You are right, knowing that an antidote for Josh's poison is not in this area. Though from living in Ponyville, I know one specific hut which may have the antidote."

He was right though, Zecora's hut had everything ranging from gender changing potions to medicine which could heal about anything. The only problem was, it was in the Everfree forest and getting there is a slightly long walk.
