Bass cocked his head at the pony, and chuckled. "The show's just beginning; you've got plenty of time to go meet her, dude!" He himself hadn't really been in too many relationships, though, since he was always travelling, but he was considering trying to change that sometime. After all, he was just a normal pony, and still prone to get lonely eventually, even if his DJ attitude didn't show it. He then turned to the side to ponder these ideas for a few moments.

 

Kaz sighed with relief. Knowing he had all the time in the world to prepare his moves was a massive relief as Kaz had become extremely rusty regarding his social skills. It's been a long time since Kaz has ever really interacted with a pony of the opposite gender so he had to make sure he doesn't come on too strong. "Breathe, Kaz. In and out, nice and slow. Calm down, calm down, calm down." Kaz was panicking and his mind was alive with thoughts of rejection, acceptation, happiness and sadness.

"So, are you gonna buy the first round of cider or shall I?" He said to the young DJ.

Floating the glass over to the pony, Bass spoke up again, "I, uh, still don't think I caught your name, dude."

"Uh, s-sure, whenever you're ready. Y-you don't have to if you don't want to though, it's just a block or two away."

 

 

"I'd love to!" "It's fine, I've got no problem going." she said, still trying to hide whatever excitement she wanted to show so badly. She was getting quite over-excited. She had only just met this mare. "Don't push too hard. You'll never get a marefreind that way." At the moment, Candy was still fixed on how attractive she found the mare. She peeked at her flank, curious what her cutie mark might be. She didn't quite see anything, and was sort of disappointed. She quickly turned back to @, "Are you coming along, Pink?"

"Ah, gotcha. So, Kaz, how long you been in Baltimare?" Bass asks, attempting to continue the conversation, as he wants to avoid his thoughts. He then floats his mugs up to his lips, and take a swig. "Ah, good stuff." He says, to nopony in particular as he awaits a response.

 

Kaz watched the chocolate maned stallion gulp at his drink and after he finished he replied, "All my life. We moved here from Trotland but my brother decided to move off to the Crystal Empire at the same time."

Kaz drags the glass across towards him, jolts up to his muzzle and knocks it back in a single move. "Thanks for the cider, NOW, come on! Let's get on that dance floor and get our flirt on."

 Sunny looked at Pink Mist. She looked like she was still eating.

"Um, you look like you're still eating. Um, no need to rush, take your time. Um, we'll go ahead to my apartment and meet you there." she said, not wanting to make the mare try to rush.

Bass followed along, and finished his drink in a single gulp, and under his breath, as he's being pulled out onto the dance floor by his white unicorn counterpart, mumbles to himself while eyeing over all the mares, "f-flirt? Oh, I hope I don't screw something up."

"Just let your inhibitions go!" Kaz exclaimed to this nervous looking stallion he needed to impress, with his eye's still searching for the blond mare he spotted before. "Let's get you sorted you first, I've got all night to find the right girl for me." With this, Kaz began to make gestures with his hooves at various mare's around the room and waited for the green light from Bass.

Sunny was leading Candy in the correct direction of her apartment. "So..." she sort of paused, then continued abruptly, "You don't have a cutie mark." Candy could not express with words how badly she wanted to facehoof for that comment. She rushed out her sentence following, "I mean- uh, you don't- I didn't." "Idiot." She sighed, "I'm so sorry. That was rude...what I was trying to say was that I had realized you didn't have a cutie mark, not to sound like I was making fun or anything." She stopped herself, "I'm sorry. You're just really cute, and I'm nervous, and now I'm rambling like an idiot." "Oh...she must hate you already by about now."

W-well, first of all, about the inhibitions thing... I can only be like that from behind my turntable, I just get choked up when talking one on one sometimes.." He turned away in embarrassment realizing he opened up like that to somepony he barely knows. "What are you saying?! What about your image! Er, well this stallion seems pretty trustworthy, I suppose. Just uh, don't go any further tonight, I suppose."

Sunny flinched at Candy's comment, but as soon as she started trying to explain, she understood that she had meant no offence. Turning around to face Candy, she tried to speak. "Um, it's o-" 

Candy was still rambling and didn't notice. When she said she thought she was cute, Sunny blushed.

When she said she thought she was cute, Sunny blushed. "I-it's okay... Um... Y-you think i'm... C-cute?"

 

 

Candy froze, she swore her entire coat turned from creamy beige to blood red, in blush. Of course, it didn't, but it sure felt like it. She realized now her mouth had been open with nothing coming out for about two moments too long. A faint smile appeared on Candy's face, "Heheh...uh, yeah, actually." Her blush remained.

With this idea rushing through his mind, a tear rolled down Pondah's cheek.

 

Starshine was justifiably surprised by the sudden tear. As far as he know, he didn't said anything that might strike a sore spot. Or did he? "Oh gosh, I'm sorry if I said something bad," he grinned awkwardly. The night had slowly crept over the town, better get moving. "Anyhow, my name is Starshine. The night's almost here, I need to get myself some dinner. See ya later!" With that said, the colt stood up and trot to the nearest open field he could find. At least the road wasn't as busy compared to few hours ago.

 

It took Starshine quite a bit searching to find the city park. The place looked positively creepy when there was no sun over the horizon. He climbed a particularly lush tree, using his telekinesis to anchor his hooves to its trunk, and sat on the bark. He absentmindedly snacked on the leaves and the like. At least being a herbivore means you didn't have to be picky on your food. Not to mention the tree could be a nice sleeping spot, too.

Kaz raised his snout in the air and headed deeper in to the sea of the ponies, hoping that Bass would be sailing behind him.

Mares love the DJ mode." The tan unicorn put on his DJ grin, which was relatively similar to that of the esteemed DJ PON-3, and trailed behind the moving stallion ahead of him, with a step of either new-found, or pseudo-confidence - which one it truly is will soon show through.

Sunny Dew shuffled a bit, unsure of what to say. She looked at Candy and realized that the mare was actually quite cute herself. Beautiful, even. How had she not noticed it earlier? As soon as the thought appeared in her mind, she blushed even deeper, but she decided to tell her. 

"Um... Well, actually, I think you're cute too," she replied, returning Candy's grin with a shy smile of her own.

Whether the mare ever answered her, Bubble would never know: as the volume increased the tide of ponies pushed between the two of them, much to her disappointment: now she would never know the answer!

 

Struggling through the chaos, she couldn't help but wish that she were a little taller, more imposing so that she wouldn't get pushed around so much. Of course she didn't mind - it would be fun even, if she could just figure out which way she ended up facing after every surge of movement.

Candy let out a nervous giggle, but she quickly cut herself off. This was followed by a nervous sigh, her blush slightly faded. The compliment made her feel a bit better. She pranced around Sunny for a moment, "Thank you!" She stopped and stared into Sunny's eyes, "Nopony has ever said that to me..." her faint smile turned into a rather large, thankful one.

Realizing that Bass Clef was following him, Kaz immediately got his "game" head on and decided that he needed to make a scene so this stallion might just remember him when he would inevitably blow up onto the music scene. Not everyday does an upcoming DJ not only buy you a drink, but follow your tail in a club as you both try to find a couple of mares to impress. "Come on!" Kaz shouted back towards Bass, "You'll be fine!" and with a smile they both set off in to the crowd.

With his grin on, and a newly enthusiastic voice, he shouted back "I'm right here bro!" Bass picked up his pace a bit, and looked around as he moved, noticing that they were moving right toward what seemed like the center of the floor, though he couldn't be absolutely sure. "Hm.. What's Kaz planning?"

Rut-Light had fallen asleep a half-hour ago however he's been having a dream of sorts: he was working at the railway trying to mend the broken rails with one other pony, both of them working hard to re-connect the track.  Everything was going great...until he started thinking about paradoxes and how they work.  He thought about them for so long he didn't even notice a stallion with a bandanna walking towards him.  At that moment Rut-Light woke up with a start, calmed himself and look at his clock as it read 11:30pm.  Silently he said, "I hate dreams..."  He said as he fell back asleep

Sunny giggled a bit as Candy pranced around her. When Candy stopped and stared her straight in the eyes, she was surprised but held the gaze.

"N-nopony's ever told me I'm cute either," she said, smiling back "So thank you as well."

She continued to blush, but now it was more because she found she was starting to like this mare. 

I wonder how she feels about me...

"Really?!" She almost blurted it out. Candy was genuinely surprised that Sunny hadn't recieved a 'cute' compliment before. She held the gaze for a moment longer, "You're welcome!" She motioned her head in the direction they were walking, "C'mon, let's get that saddlebag home so I can take you to dance." She was still so excited she hadn't realized what she said, "Too much, too much, slow down!" Though, it was too late, what was said was said.

Sunny couldn't help but giggle at Candy's embarrassed look at what she had said. She couldn't help but blush at it too, but she doubted it was noticeable, as she had already been blushing.

"Sure, the apartment building isn't too far away," she said, walking alongside the mare.

Upon reaching the apartment, she quickly put everything from her saddlebag on the dresser and then left, leaving it on to keep the key with her. She turned to Candy after locking the door

"Ready to go?"
