The story of how Cadence and Shining Armor met well be told in the comic

Today I was trying to figure out when the next MLP: Comic was coming out and I found out that after the Big Macintosh comic, the next comic well be the story of how Cadence and Shining Armor first fell in love.

 

To what I've read it well be at least 2 issues and well have the common themes. Big dance coming up and either know how to talk to each other. Same old song and dance. Not sure if Twilight well be in it or not, but most likely she well have a small part in it.

 

So I was just wondering what people thought about this story being told in the comics and not the T.V. show? Also would this be considered canon or not?

 

As for me I think it's a great idea to tell past events in the comics. That way any questions we have can be answered and it won't interfere with the show trying to tell what happened at that point.

Well I haven't read the comics to be completely honest, however I think that if the comics are made by hasbro or studio B or whatever, then they're basically offical and cannon, so whatever happens in them relating to MLP is pretty cannon to me, its more cannon then headcannon and stuff.

 

I'm cool with it being told in the comics I guess, even if I prefer to watch the episodes rather then read, but i do have to agree if not done well it can be kinda awkward to just go to something so long ago.

I don't think they are made by Studio B or even Hasbro. IDW publishes them. In terms of being canon, it is a mixed bag. I had no idea that this was one of upcoming issues though. I am a couple of issues behind in the side stories. I need to catch up. I am caught up on the main series though, except for issue 9 which recently released I think.

Well I found out that in one of the comics, they are going to talk about how Sunset Summer was able to get into the human world. Still it is hard to say which comic is cannon and which one is not.

They might tell the story since, they never fully explained how they met in the show so they might put in the comics. We might find out.

According to this site issues 11 and 12 well look at how Cadence and Shining Armor met. So it's going to happen.
