Tempest glared at Sole. "Get in line." He said. "You're not the only pony who has a bone to pick with Caras."

 

Dark was slightly surprised by this. "Tempest, I never expected you to defend Celestia."

 

The cyan pegesus sighed. "Eventhough I despise Celestia for what she did earlier in her life, I would never kill her. Caras harmed Luna psychologically when he killed her sister, and I would rather die than see that go unpunished."

"I'm so sorry," she murmured. "I can see that she had a special place in your heart."

 

Minath nodded.

 

"When I left the orphanage in Manehatten I flied for 3 days straight, just to see Canterlot. I saw the palace and wanted to see the inside of it so badly, and see the Princesses. So at night I snuck into the palace and hid in Celestia's closet for a week. She eventually discovered me, and instead of being punished, I was offered a job as a Royal Guard. She taught me so much... And now I'll never get to tell her how she saved me from myself...."

 

Minath said, then cried into Celestia's dead body.

Minath looked up to Luna.

 

"I will be there. As her legacy, I must see who will be my next liege."

Luna: First things first, we need to give Celestia a proper funeral, meet me in canterlots tallest tower before midnight tonight, the funeral shall be held there, be there all of you, I am interested to see who our next ruler shall be.

 

Luna was still crying, finding it hard to even speak. She loved her sister more than anything, and to see her die like that. She was unable to cope with the situation without bursting into tears herself.

Tempest sighed as he flew up to the tower. "I never thought that she would go like that." He thought. The cyan pegesus then landed and gazed over the city. "Am I truely happy that Celestia is dead? Was it really worth all of this? No. It wasn't."

 

Dark sighed and flew up the mountain and sat down. Her head was only a few inches from the tower, but it would have to do.

Sole was quiet for a long time "and to think... a thousand years ago I wanted nothing more then to kill her, and now I'm mourning over her death. Fate can suck a fat one." He said to noone in particular, as he flew towards the tower slowly "I just can't believe that she's finally gone... I always thought i'd die first." He mumbled.

Minath decided that instead of flying, she would walk to the tower through the twisting hallways of the castle.

 

That's where I told Celestia I had my first coltfriend.... That's where I met Lightning Storm for the first time.... That's where I hid my first Gala and Celestia had to come get me because I was too scared of the socialites...

 

Minath walked down the hallways and twisting corridors, reflecting on the life Celestia had given her. Minath passed by Celestia's quarters and her hoof hovered over the door.

 

No. Not yet. I'm not strong enough to handle seeing in there.

 

Minath kept walking, tears in her eyes. Eventually she reached the tower steps. She slowly started climbing, each step feeling like lead in her heart. Eventually she reached the top of the tower and held her head up.

 

Somepony needs to be strong... It has to be me.... I'm the leader. And if I fall, who will take my mantle? Nopony.

Chivalry was thinking to himself as he walked to the castle doors. 'Dammit, Celestia. Why did you die? It doesn't make any sense... Unless, did you really... No, i can't think like that, there's no reason why she'd want to die. Then again... It didn't look like she put up much of a fight.' Chivalry opened the castle doors and walked into the castle courtyard. "she said to meet her at the tallest tower before midnight... I still have some time." Chivalry started to sneakily walk beside the castle. He was looking for something, but didn't want anypony to know.

Luna arrived at the tower with Celestias body in a coffin and placed it on the balcony of the tallest tower. She was still crying and mourning her loss, but she had to be strong if she was going to deliver a speech.

 

Luna: We have all gathered here on this night to mourn the loss of our princess, Celestia. She was the best ruler Equestria could ask for, and it is heartbreaking to see her go like this. She did many great things in her life. She saved the crystal empire from King sombra and his rule, she defeated discord and saved everypony from his rule of chaos, and she stopped me from encasing Equestria in eternal night. She was a great leader, always thinking one step ahead. She was my beloved sister and a best friend to everypony in Equestria. Would anypony like to say a few words before midnight.

Minath nodded and stepped forward and turned to face everypony.

 

"I spent my early childhood in an orphanage in Manehatten. One night I stole away to Canterlot. I saw the palace and snuck in, and not just anywhere, into Celestia's quarters. I hid in her closet for a week or so before I was discovered. I was expecting jail or execution, and I get a home. Celestia took in the flawed alicorn, so unwanted I never received a name before the moment I met Celestia. For the longest of time believed the world was a cold, dark place and I didn't belong in it. But Celestia acted as my sun, she showed me the lightness in the world."

 

Minath looked out the windows into the night sky, silent tears streaming down her face.

 

"And I'll never get to tell her how much she meant to me. I felt like she was my mother, in a sense. I never told her. I never told her a lot of things, that I love her, that she was the mother I always wanted. That I invented a name for myself because she gave me the courage to. I just hope that she knew, even though I never told her. She had a wonderful, long life. I'm sure she made mistakes like everypony does, but she recovered and kept walking forward. She is my role model, and even though her candle has gone out, her flame had lit so many others." Minath went and sat back down among the other ponies.

As the time hit midnight, Celestais body started to disolve into magic energy and began to form a magic orb in place of her body.

 

Luna: Who ever this orb chooses, will become the next ruler of Equestria. Let's us wait and see who she chooses as the ruler.

 

The orb hovered in the air for a shot time before starting to fly around all the ponies before finaly, stopping infront of minath, the voice of Celestia was talking to minath in her head.

 

Celestia: Minath, I watched you grow from a young pony to the best soldier in Equestria. I never told you this but I saw you as my own daughter and I belive you are the only pony out there that can replace me. I'm glad I met you Minath.

 

The orb then went into Minaths body granting her the powers of Celestia combine with her own.

Minath's eyes watered when Celestia called Minath her daughter.

 

Minath turned to Luna.

 

"Luna.... did... Am I...?"

 

Am I really the next ruler of Equestria? Am I worthy to be the ruler? Why did Celestia choose...me? An orphan from Manehatten that was born nameless... the leader of all of Equestria. Celestia, I hope you know what you're doing.

Guards: All hail, the new ruler of Equestria, Minath Watcher.

 

All the guards in the area and even Luna herself, Bowed down before there new ruler.

Sole watched the ceremony silently, remembering all of the more memorable moments he had with celestia and luna. "Well... at least minath is a good pony. And she will make a great princess too." He said to himself, before smiling "but every princess of harmony needs an enemy of chaos... maybe I can follow my old man's example and troll for a bit, just to liven things up a bit." He said jokingly.

Crimson looked at minath with cold eyes for a moment, "I once made a promise to my master...that I would never bow my head to royalty...but only to a true leader whom deserves my respect..." crimson then bowed his head slightly to minath with a single tear running down his face, "I swear minath...I will kill caras if its the last thing i do...lead equestria justly and rule with kindness, like a true princess..." said crimson before lifting his head up again and leaning against a tree, tilting his hat over his eyes to hide his tears.

Chivalry had already made it before midnight. He was watching from a distance while leaning on the small stone wall separating the top of the tower and a long fall down. Chivalry had his head lowered and for some reason, was smiling. As Celestia was choosing Minath to be the next heir, Chivalry watched with a straight face.

Right after Minath said this, he realized that her true potential has awakened. He then approached Minath and whispered something in her ear. 'Can you please meet me somewhere private, id'e like to ask you something.' He said it so quietly and gently so nopony else could hear what he was saying.

After this, Chivalry walked to the edge of the tower, then created a bubble barrier around himself. He jumped off the ledge but before he hit the ground, he slowed himself down using the bubble barrier. He popped the bubble barrier afterward, then he looked up for a second and then forward. He walked through the castle doors and waited in the first room of the castle for Minath.

luna felt the telepathic message from minath and replied in the same manner.

Luna: All you have to do is what you belive is right, and what would be best for Equestria. That is all Celestia did, and the rulers before her. Do what you think is the best for everyone and you will be a great leader.

Tempest glanced at Minath. "It seems that Celestia's aura has mixed with Minath's." He thought. "This should be interesting." The cyan pegesus then sighed as he glanced into the heavens. "I will kill Caras, even if it ends up destroying my body in the process."

Sole sighed and flew over to minath "so newbie, your the new head honcho. Well, at least you were chosen instead of one of these other psychos." He said jokingly, as he noticed her magic "hehe, your magic even reminds me of hers now... looks like ya might do well as the princess." He said.

Chivalry was leaning on the wall inside the castle. He was remembering the fight he had with Stardust. "-sigh-, I wouldn't have won anyway. Even if Caras didn't interfere... Actually, it's a good thing that he did, otherwise, I would probably be dead by now..." Chivalry was deep in thought. "That spell, it slows down the flow of time, time magic? That's insane. If she was able to do that, than anything is a possibility." Chivalry looked up at the roof. "Minath..."

"Although the situation could've been better for my coronation, I hope I'll be fine, and Equestria will prosper. I'm just going to need help along the way." Minath said, then felt her Magic. Now it was slate, her own color, coated in the gold of Celestia's.

Dark sat on the mountain and looked at the stars. "Hopefully, Minath will be a good ruler." She thought. The black dragon then went to sleep.
