Tempest glanced at Dark Heart and shrugged. "I just need to find a place to calm my nerves, and a way to get stronger." He said. "A demon was unleashed a few days ago, and has been a thorn in my side since. By the way, you can call me Tempest. Might I ask who you are?"

"I am Kind Heart. And what do you mean by a demon? Is it still out there?" DH said, her eyes widening and feigning surprise. She could not thank Abezethibou enough for his spell of believablitity.

Sole watched as everyone went about their business, talking or leaving to do other things to prepare for the next battle. With a sigh he decided to fly toward the courtyard to train, and to visit his fathers statue. As he arrived he landed in front of the god of chaos and scoffed "hey old man...stoned as usual huh?" He said jokingly as he sat down for a moment to relax before he trained.

Tempest sighed. "The demon's name is Caras, and as far as I know, he's still alive." He said. "He also has a few other allies, which mainly consist of what I would assume to be demons, or darklings." The cyan pegesus then shrugged. "Anyway, it was a pleasure to meet you, Kind Heart." Tempest then began to trot away.

 

Dark sighed as she walked through Canterlot Palace. She soon noticed Sole and sighed. "Have you seen Tempest?" She asked.

 

(@Minath Kidemonas : Now would be the best opportunity to corrupt Tempest. Hint Hint.

While Tempest's back was turned, DH summoned Daeva to appear before Tempest. DH pretended to not see Daeva, and make it seem like only Tempest did.

 

Tempest, my brave knight, I appear before you and only you. Kind Heart can not see me. I am the god Daeva. I ask for devotion and in return grant you power. This one, Kind Heart, is valuable. Take her with you and tell her your secrets. Daeva said to Tempest.

Tempest glanced at Daeva. He thought that something was off, but he didn't exactly know what. "I'll do it." He said. The cyan pegesus didn't even know what he had gotten himself into.

 

Xena woke up and noticed Daeva and Dark Heart through Tempest's point of view. "Get away from them, you fool." He yelled. Unfortunately, Tempest didn't hear him.

DH pretended to be surprised when Tempest agreed to take her along. Daeva dissipated.
 
"You'll do what, Tempest? Is something wrong?"

Xena rammed against the bars that held him back from the rest of Tempest's mind. "Are you kidding me, Tempest. You're starting to act like me."

"What doesn't seem that bad, Tempest?" DH said, pretending not to know exactly what was going on.

 

((Remember that Tempest thinks DH, or rather KH, has no idea what's going on because she supposedly didn't see Daeva. So as far as Tempest knows, a god just told him to take DH to the castle and tell her everything.))

Minath's body stiffened.   "Aura's dead. Killed by a darkling, I assume." She said coldly.

 

Chivalry heard this and bowed his head down in sadness. "Damn you Caras, how dare you kill her, she did nothing wrong..." Suddenly Chivalry  remembered the pony made up of light. 'Hmm, I guess it wouldn't hurt to see if...' Chivalry sneaks away into a secluded place in Canterlot. "Alright, no pony should be able to see me here in this alleyway. Now then, what was its name? Daeva i think... alright, let's try this..." Chivalry looks up to the sky and starts to speak. "Uuh, Daeva! I call for thee, please come aid me in my time of need!" Chivalry awaits for Daeva's arrival.

Stardust was still standing by Luna when she asked about the others that were apart of the group, it seemed that Stardust had been forgotten, or blended in quite well. 

 

 

"Aura's dead. Killed by a darkling, I assume."

Stardust took note of what she said, though Stardust hoped that, that hadn't happened yet. She knew of how the story was going to end, and she hoped that maybe she could stop them before they ended up dead.  But sadly they were on the road now and she could do nothing to change the future.

The aura beast finally broke free and quickly took control of Tempest. He then glared at Dark Heart and simply chuckled. "You may have been able to fool Tempest, but I will not be so easy to deceive." He said. "I don't know what your plan is, but I don't like it."

Daeva head Chivalry's call from the darkling realm, and with a quick telepathic message to her master appeared before Chivalry.

 

"Yes, my knight?"

"But... I have no plan!" She said flabbergasted (that word never gets used enough)

 

It's true I don't have a plan, I never make plans, but that doesn't mean I can't think ahead.

Stardust flinched at the name, it was her's. And she did use it, but knowing that many knew that name in a different light did crush her slightly. Though she was willing to share her thoughts to the new princess.

 

"I always try to help, to the follow rules. But I always seem to break them. I can't save you from your future now, it seems the first blood has already been split. I would say to run, run till you can't run any further. To hide till you die, but your future is already set. Unless I come in and change it, and that is one rule I won't break. I'm sorry, but anything from this point in time and further I can not stop, I can only watch. Sometimes its too hard to be the good guy, but I will always fight to stay. Even though I know that I will eventually lose, pretty evident considering you have met me, the future me."

Xena rolled his eyes and simply facehoofed/pawed. "I've been around longer than most ponies, and I'm not exactly the dullest tool in the shed." He said. "Tell me, why are YOU here, Kind Heart?" The aura beast then tensed up, as he got ready, if necessary, to fight.

"We have. And I'm sorry that you on the path that can not change. But if you will, I wish one thing of you. I know that you are her and she is you, so please, can you help us to know to defeat her? Being as kind as you are now wouldn't you want us to stop your future self from sullying your name?" Minath asked, practically begging. When she was distressed she always finished her statements with a question.

DH saw Xena/Tempest's (I'm not sure what to call them at the moment because Xena is in charge) stance change, and began summoning Jikininki, who looked like a ghost maybe if DH appeared helpless Xena/Tempest would think of her to be a helpless mare lost in the Everfree.

 

"I'm lost. I was taking a different route home, I live here, and on the way back I lost my way. I live in the Everfree because the herbs that grow here are helpful in healing others."

 

DH's official residency was in the Everfree, so she wasn't exactly lying. She finished summoning Jikininki and telepathically told him what was happening as she let out a bloodcurdling scream as she had Jikininki grabbed her wings.

 

"A ghost! Tempest, help!"

And I don't know how to what I will become, even now I am fighting the same thing that tortures her everyday, that tortures me everyday. She is a broken mare, she has nothing to lose. I am sure, even now, she has blocked this entire conversation. So that she doesn't cheat, so that she doesn't break the rules of travel. I can not help you."

"I understand. But I have a question for you, and I don't know if you can answer it. Seven years ago a stallion by the name of Rambler went missing. I was wondering if you could tell me what happened to him." She said, choking up when she said Rambler's name out loud. She rarely said it anymore, but it was always an ache in her heart.

Xena glanced at the ghost and fired a aura spike at it. The aura beast then glanced at Dark Heart. "Are you ok?" He asked. "If you need any help getting home, I could give you an escort."

 

(Seriously, though. The only way Tempest will mos likely become corrupt is if Sole and the others betray him in some way.)

"I'm fine. Sometimes ghosts pop us around here. Normally I have my dog, Gooyie, to protect me. He's a Rottie, and my best friend. He's at home, worried sick probably. Could you escort me home?" DH asked, and sent a telepathic message to Guayota, telling him to appear at her house in the form of a rottie.

 

"I live this way." DH said, and directed her wing to the northeast, and started walking.

((I still don't know how I'm going to explain seven years of his absence, but I'll come up with something faster if I just throw myself into this and I'm forced to figure it out. Whatever happens, expect it to be vague and probably not very well put together. Also, wall of text incoming.))

 

After all the time he'd spent away, the fateful day had finally come. Today he would be reunited with the love of his life, assuming she'd even want to see him after he'd just disappeared for so long.

 

For almost a month he'd been putting it off, too afraid that she would have grown to hate him for leaving her, or that she had found someone else, but he couldn't stand to be without her any longer, even if he was only going to get his heart broken. Now he'd arrived in Canterlot, and assuming she still had her old job, he would be able to see her again.

 

Before he left his hotel room, he looked himself over in the mirror. He was hardly the strong, handsome young stallion that had left for Stallionshire seven years ago. He barely weighed half as much as he had when he left, and he his face and body were badly scarred. He'd done his best to clean up his appearance, but he couldn't even be entirely sure she would recognize him. Still, he had to at least try.

 

 

He approached the castle, his nerves still eating away at him, and looked for a guard, or someone who could relay a message to Minath.

Minath saw one of her guards come running up to her, then whispered something in her ear, her eyes widening. She excused herself from her conversation with Stardust and Luna to go see him. Her guard had said it was him but she didn't want to get her hopes up. She walked calmly, talking herself down until she saw him. There was no way it could be anypony but him.

Her eyes misty, she walked up to him.

There she was. Just as beautiful as he remembered after all these years. He ran up and embraced her. "Minath... I'm so sorry. I never meant for this to happen. Every day for the past seven years all I've thought about, all that's kept me going, is the thought of seeing you again. I know nothing can ever make up for how long I left you alone, but please, if you'll take me back, I promise I'll never let anything like this happen ever again."

Minath's hoof shaking, she raised it to Rambler's face. He was really there. She stared at his eyes. The same sparking Emerald color they've always been. The same fiery red mane that she missed tousling every morning. She was too scared to speak. If she did, she was afraid that if this was a delusion he would vanish. She leaned in and kissed him sweetly, as if afraid he would brake, or she would from the thundering in her chest.

Rambler kissed her back, and suddenly those seven lonely, miserable years meant nothing. All that mattered was that he had somehow found his way back to her, and now, in this moment, he couldn't help but feel that everything had finally been put right again. His hoof reached up and stroked her mane, still as soft and perfect as he remembered it. At last, they were together again, and what had seemed like an endless nightmare was finally over.
