Oh scheisse, I've completely forgotten about this RP.

 

My issue is a lack of forethought. I'll be completely honest when I say I signed up a bit prematurely, however I do have some ideas for how to work Metis into things.

 

My issue though is a lack of people. I'm not quite sure whether this is linear or freeform (I think it might be freeform), and only two people have responded so far (me not being one of them, and I take full blame for that). I have ideas of how to work Metis in, but if there isn't anyone to interact with, I might as well be writing a fan fiction.

 

At this point, I think the best idea for this RP is to convert into a linear, and give it some form of storyline. To make up for my mistakes, I can provide assistance in planning for this little escapade. Whether this involves my ideas for Metis or not is up to you.

Huh, so this RP may have already gone cold already from the lack of members. When I first saw this thread being posted, I looked at the newer roleplays and some didn't have many people in it, but some did. So it looks like the number of people hit a dip for right now, which means it's not the best time to make a thread.

Honestly, I can see why some people are reluctant to join. 

 

First of all, I introduced firearms- a non-canonical weapon that completely doesn't fit the show. And even though I changed it to fit MLP's technology range, that fact still remains.

 

Second, it's a warfare RP. People would think it's overused and bland.

BTW, I did a sketch of an Equestrian service rifle.

 

 

If anyone's asking how a pony holds a firearm... Unicorns hold it with levitation magic, earth ponies would use a modeled rifle with a bigger trigger or mounted on their barrel section (or chest, actually) to allow them to shoot without any serious risk from recoil. Theirs would possibly have longer barrels so they can add a bayonet that doesn't accidentally cut into their own body or install an telescopic optic. Then again, I'm not sure if adding a telescopic optic will lead to lower accuracy due to misfiring.

 

By the way, it's not wise for a pony to hold a firearm by the mouth. The recoil of pistols and revolvers alike will dislocate their jaw. Triggers are either large enough to put a hoof inside, or small, which requires a device to assist on pulling the trigger, which is technically like an artificial bent finger. 

 

Oh, and dual wielding pistols or revolvers would be difficult. Holding a pistol or revolver with one hand is not enough to steady the aim and would throw the bullets off target. Shouldn't do that unless you're in a seriously desperate situation to do so, or your OC is experienced with firearms and can hold a firearm very firmly so the shooting can be accurate.

So I probably have to back out unless somepony can convince me/tell me the different locations of places that are having riots, what date it is, who is in what group, what groups are there, and where everypony is in what city.

Sorry about this, it's just my mind can only process simple things instead of real complicated ones.

I can reexplain to you if you like. 

 

Currently only Frosty (who somehow hasn't posted in the last weeks) and I have only posted. Generally anywhere is allowed for roleplay, and technically this roleplay is a "do whatever you want" thing. You could start a protest or riot, create a populist party, heck, even start a military coup. Just don't god mod and get too overpowered.

 

You can pick whatever date to roleplay in, though mostly we'll roleplay in the years before the war (which occurs in 1163), until I play out the starting event, which officially begins the war. If you want to interact with another OC, then you simply do so in the same day, same location, though honestly most of the time, you'll be interacting indirectly. (For example, OC A commands a division to attack OC B's supplies.)

 

There are two sides to this: The Federalist Party, which later forms into the Caballus Federation that secedes from the Empire, and the Equestrian Empire, the non-seceded area of Equestria or ponies that are loyal to the Princesses. It's kind of like the American and Russian Civil War combined. 

 

Locations would be either the canonical cities and towns you know (Manehattan, Baltimare, etc.), though you can make up some of your own if you feel like it. Mostly limit it to lesser towns, however.
