I decided that 50 posts was enough evidence that I was serious about being a user and not just posting to push my fic. It's an ethical choice, I guess. So, for my fiftieth post, I share with you, what I actually would be tempted to call, currently, my magnum opus.

Scootaloo's Personal Diary is a fanfic I've been writing for a year, now. It's currently in a thorough editing stage, but the earlier, weaker stuff, has all been polished heavily, at this point. It may still change, but it's been cleaned up substantially, thus far. Once you get past about the 115th entry you may notice more errors and inconsistencies since it's still being worked on, but it should still be really good. grammatically. I did most of the major tweaks as I wrote it.

It's 120k words, and it is not always happy. It's not always sad. It's not always super exciting. It's a slice of life in every respect I could make it so. It takes place across the years of the show, starting a few months prior to the show's start.

NOTES:

As I've written this, I have taken a stance on pretty much every Scootaloo controversy. If these are conflicted by the show in the future, I will be saddened, as the second note will explain, but I will continue writing until I am comfortable with it being complete.

I have tried HARD to stick to the canon of the show. There is one anachronism from the show, but it doesn't really upset the show's events, at all. I hope to keep it this way, but if things come up, it may just become an AltReal SoL for the characters involved.

PLEASE share your thoughts I've been working off my readers for a while. I've never had a support base like this for a project I've created. As such, I really like to hear from folks, and I often respond.

If anyone would like to run a second set of edits, I can link a Google Docs version where you can leave technical comments on it. I also have this on my deviantART, but the updates are a LOT farther behind, because I will likely be copypasting them once all the fixes are done, since the interface isn't nearly as easy to work with. Not to mention I have to modify every stylistic bbcode into an HTML format on transfer, so doing bulk is much simpler. If you REALLY want to support it, you can favorite your favorite parts on there, too. Just know the dA ones aren't quite as polished.

I am proud of the reaction thus far. Over 8,000 views between the two sites, a Daily Deviation feature, a fron page feature for FIMFiction, a 96% (FIMFics, with nearly 575 upvotes) rating, over 800 comments, 600 favorites (over 500 on FIMFiction, over 100 on the first part on deviantART). I really am blown away. If you're interested, check it out, see what the apparent buzz is about.

Personal preference: I REALLY would like no chicken comments in this thread. I am really exhausted by and of that meme, and never found it entertaining to start with. That's just my preference, if you COULD stick to it, I'd really appreciate it. It's really annoying when I promote this in places and I get mainly chicken jokes. (Jussayin'.)

Hay there, I've just read the first 30 entries, and I think its awesome, I can see how difficult it would be trying to write as a young filly and that's clearly portrayed in your writing, yet it kept me interested which is rare ^^

Despite having to limit your vocabulary given the age of Scootaloo, I genuinely felt sad at times and actually felt connected to her feelings.

But seriously dude, awesome job, ill be reading the rest later ^^ /)

Be sure to let me know your thoughts. I LOVE reading responses from readers.

I am happy you find it was tight and relatable. I spent a lot of time trying to analyze her character. I watched every episode (even the ones I didn't really like) just to produce the happenings and reactions she has during the story.
