Not exactly, In NSW  from about late Autumn to middle Spring we set the clocks forward 1 hour to conserve daylight so people can do more during the day.

I don't even care for the daylightsaving time, I'm always CET/GMT+1 Because it happens everywhere in the world, so we basically adopt the new time at that period, right?
