There's Kindergarden, the Elementary (1-5), Middle School (6-8) and High School (9-12). 

 

Though some schools combine Elementary and Middle.

Here there's preschool, primary (1-6), secondary (7-11) and now I'm in Sixth Form which will be grades/years 12 and 13.

 

Secondary is the last period where you have to take the core subjects: Maths, English and Science. I fortunately had decent enough results in Maths to be able to scrap it in Sixth Form. Now I'm doing Computing, Economics, Music and Music Tech.

Gameangel, here we start the elementary at the age of 7, but I started a year early, at age 6

I consider our school system the most simple one. 8 years of primary, and then 4 years of secondary. And we have many different kinds of secondary schools, like art, music, economic, medicine, language, grammar secondary schools, technic, graphic, mechanic etc.

It's cool because we can gain vocational education in secondary school
