My OC has a relatively complex design that would be hard to get right, not to mention that accurate accessories would be hard to achieve as well.

 

I would also want the accessories in the real materials. Finding fitting boots would be one thing, but finding a jacket in the right size that is also accurate to the one I drew on him is going to be absolute insanity.

It's supposed to be something you enjoy. At that rate, you might as well lock him up in a glass case. You also have to consider that scaling everything down will also make it harder to work with. You might have to sacrifice a few things.

It also depends on the artist. If you can find one closer to you, it could be cheaper or more expensive, depending on the quality.
