You mean make a fairly decent console (Saturn) and then say "Oh noooooo this isn't the future" and release a new console (Dreamcast) just a couple years afterward? And this was all right after the 32x incident. 

 

 

I'm just kidding, of course. I had a Genesis at one point and I LOVED it.

 

I do wish Sega could have stayed relevant as a hardware manufacturer....Who knows what kind of awesome stuff they could be doing today? Because the Dreamcast was a helluva machine. Most powerful of its time. If only consumers and publishers trusted Sega at the time...

It seems to me that more older people are playing that game than younger ones actually! Or at least from what I've seen.

I feel like if Sega would have never made the Sega CD and the 32x for the Genesis and they would have stuck it out with the Saturn and left the Dreamcast to be a 6th gen console, the Dreamcast could have been the console that ran with the PS2 all the way through the 2010s (Sony finally discontinued the PS2 worldwide in 2013). 

 

They also could have made the Dreamcast play DVDs as well. That was an ingenious move by Sony to put a DVD player in the PS2 at a time when DVDs were all the rave.

I have 3 DVD players. My PS3, my home theater system, and my desktop computer. All of them will play a DVD and actually the comptuer and Playstation will play Blu-Rays

 

It's funny that I have 3 devices capable of playing a DVD yet no actual dedicated DVD player...you know...something whose primary purpose is to play a DVD xD

When I bought the PS4, I had in mind specifically that I wanted it because it could play DVD's and such! 

Worth it in the end, because my housmates like to play it, and I use it for videos!

And there are worse pictures out there, but, you know, FiM does have a large following of high school and college-age people. I'd say the vast majority of us on here is between 15 and 25 years old
