That's not something you would see in later gens. There's also a long running urban legend that the music in Lavender Town caused depression and nervous breakdowns in some people. 1 Friendship isn't always easy. I mean, the ghost Marowak that appears at the top of Lavender Town tower appears as a Marowak, not a Ghost type Pokemon. Just something I read but it kinda makes sense I suppose. Haha oh yeah that episode... I've seen the seizure scenes and that's trippy. Don't understand how they thought it'd be a good idea. There's also the episode that was banned for having guns, and the one where James has breasts....... Creepily enough, Yamask and Phantump are implied to be dead humans. How about Banette? It's a discarded toy that has come to life to hunt down the child that threw away.
