I think it was called Lavender Town Syndrome or something. Some crazy Creepypasta about the original music in the town causing a load of Japanese people and kids to go crazy... If that's actually true then that's terrifying 

 

But yeah, I doubt they'd deal with stuff like Pokemon death in an obvious way like that now a days. That might be considered a bit too dark.... But then again Yamask is fine....   xD

Well, regardless of whether Lavender Town Syndrome is real, what certainly IS true is that an episode of the anime gave a lot of kids epileptic seizures. It actually led to the anime being taken off the air for a while.

I don't actually think Ghost types are dead. I mean, the ghost Marowak that appears at the top of Lavender Town tower appears as a Marowak, not a Ghost type Pokemon. Just something I read but it kinda makes sense I suppose.

 

 

Haha oh yeah that episode... I've seen the seizure scenes and that's trippy. Don't understand how they thought it'd be a good idea. There's also the episode that was banned for having guns, and the one where James has breasts.......

I assumed (in the earlier gens at least) that ghost Pokémon aren't actual dead Pokémon. You can breed them can't you?

 

Creepily enough, Yamask and Phantump are implied to be dead humans.

 

How about Banette? It's a discarded toy that has come to life to hunt down the child that threw away. That's the stuff that nightmares are made of.
