Then don't get emotionally invested. Have fun. Keep it fun. Don't get too serious too fast. Because flames that burn quickly burn out quickly as well. And if you're not having fun now, why would you think it'd be fun when you're older. That's just my way of seeing relationships to be blunt. But then again, I've only ever had 4 girlfriends so I wouldn't take my advice to be entirely credible.

Okay if you're willing to drive all the way from Pitt to Chicago to go see her, I think that screams you'd go the extra mile, and that's very nice of you to do that. It really is. And if it's meant to work out, it'll work out even if she lived in LA or Seattle or Barrow, Alaska. Don't doubt yourself so quickly and just have fun. And who knows? Maybe next week, you guys will be talking and maybe you'll both decide it's best if you don't date. Maybe it's compatibility or distance or timing. But whatever it is, don't feel bad for it. Life happens. Ya know? Or maybe she really is the one and you happily marry and all that jazz. The future is exciting and scary and many, many other things all at once. The future is the elephant we must all eat. You do it one bite at a time. Just take things one step at a time and see where it leads you.
