If you were upgrading your hardware and you wanted to go ballz to teh wallz but you still wanted the best price/performance ratio for your rig, would you go for a 4790K or save yourself the hundred American dollars and settle for a 4690K? 

 

I'm really debating this hard with myself as I want the best hardware, but I keep asking myself, "Is a 4790K really worth 330 bucks to me?"

Well, it depends on what am I going to do with the new machine, and also pricing of the components in local terms. (Philippine import tax and fees :okiedokielokie:) Since I'll be only doing gaming as the most intense workload in my new machine, I might as well just save that $100 and go for the 4690K since there's no real benefit to extra HT on what am I planning to do. Then I could probably spend that extra $100 on maybe a 250GB SSD or a good CPU cooler for dem extra jiggahertz.

 

Too bad there are no good CPU+mobo combo deals indaPilipins doe...
